Objective To investigate the effects of three dimensional conformal radiation therapy for clinical efficacy and safety in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma . Methods Selected 50 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients from January 2007 to October 2013 in our hospital, they were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group by digital method with 25 cases in each group, the control group used conventional radiotherapy and+FP chemotherapy, the observation group was carried out in three dimensional conformal radiotherapy with convention-al radiotherapy, and chemotherapy of FP regimen, the clinical curative effect and the parotid gland toxicity were com-pared between the two groups. Results The near future curative effect comparison, the total effective rate in treatment group was 88.0%(22/25),was significantly higher than that in control group 68.0%(17/25),the difference was statisti-cally significant(P<0.05);from the parotid gland toxicity reaction of two groups, the incidence rate of gradeⅢtoxicity in the treatment group was 8.0%(2/25),and 12.0%(3/25)in the control group without significant difference(P>0.05). Conclusion Three dimensional conformal radiation therapy for nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients with short-term effi-cacy, there is no difference of toxicity between the conventional radiotherapy and three climensional conformal radia-tion therapy, security is good, worthy of clinical popularization and application.
