Objective To determine the nursing measures of patients with primary open angle glaucoma undergoing implantation of EX-PRESS device. Methods 12 glaucomatous patients with EX-PRESS miniature glaucoma device received appropriate hygienic-education preoperatively, intensive nursing services during and after surgery,as well as health instructions in the follow-up period. Results 12 patients finally recovered from the surgery. The main post-operative complications were low tension and shallow anterior chamber(2 eyes),obstruction of the device by iris (1 eye). The intraocular pressures of all these patients remained normal levels before discharge and the visual acuity were the same as those pre-operation.Conclusions The effective nursing services for patients with EX-PRESS implantation is beneficial to the rehabilitation by increasing the adherence to the follow-up schedule, contributing to better understanding the common sense of the disease and the choice of the surgery.
3.Postmenopausal bleeding:a clinical analysis of 210 cases
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2006;0(09):-
Objective To investigate the causes, diagnostic methods, prevention and cure of postmenopausal bleeding(PMB).Methods The clinical and pathological data of 210 PMB patients admitted in this hospital were retrospectively analyzed. Results The causes for PMB were benign diseases(69.5%),the most of which were infec- tious diseases(49.5%),non-organic disease(20.5%)and malignant tumor(10.0%).Compared with benign diseases and non-organic diseases, the attack age of malignant tumor was higher[(67.1?6.9)years old],menopausal dura- tion was longer(11.6?2.9)years,bleeding duration was longer[(157.6?26.4)days],and mucous membrane was obviously thickened[(14.6?3.2)mm](P0.05).Conclusion The main cause for PMB is benign diseases, followed by non-organic diseases.More attentions should be paid to the PMB patients with higher attack age, longer menopausal duration and bleeding dura- tion, and obviously thickened mucous membrane,so as to be precautions to the occurrence of malignant tumor.

ObjectiveTo investigate the therapeutic effectiveness of defibrase in treating penumbra and reperfusion.MethodsIntraluminal suture method was used to develope reversible middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO). Rats were subjected to MCAO 3 hours followed by reperfusion for 3, 6, 24, 72 hours, and to MCAO 6 hours followed by reperfusion for 3, 6, 24 hours. The treatment groups rats were injected intravenously defibrase at 0.5 hour before reperfusion. Meanwhile, the control group received normal saline. Clinically Neurological Deficits Scale were evaluated every day. Infarction volume was measured by using 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining. Pathologic change were examined microscopically in HE stained sections.ResultsThere were significant difference at treatment groups of reperfusion 3 hours after MCAO.Infarction volume and Clinically Neurological Deficits Scale was significant reduced as control group (P<0.05). There were no significant differences at treatment groups of reperfusion 6 hours after MCAO (P>0.05). Cerebral hemorrhage wasn't increased in defibrase treatment group.ConclusionsDefibrase was effective on Clinically Neurological Deficits of rats in reperfusion 3 hours after MCAO.

Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 1993;0(03):-
Objective To observe the transformation features of children with complete atrioventricular block(CAVB), and to improve the diagnosis and treatment of this disease. Methods Seventeen children with primary diagnosis of CAVB were reviewed by retrospective and follow-up study and the clinical characteristics, treatment schemes and prognosis were evaluated. Results Four cases of congenital CAVB lived normally without obvious symptoms in the tracing period from 6 months to 9 years;1 case had the onset of Adams-Stokes syndrome induced by diarrhea;3 cases of the CAVB caused by virus myocarditis turned into sinus rhythm after comprehensive therapy;2 cases persistently presented with the CAVB Complicated with enlarged heart;1 case gave up treatment after deterioration, and one case died.Three cases of temporary CAVB after the open heart operation turned to sinus rhythm in transitory time, while other two cases presented with permanent CAVB and treated with epicardium pacemaker, among whom one had the pacemaker replaced for one time in the 8-year follow-up,and the follow-up of other cases were intermitted. Conclusions The congenital CAVB in the study group with normal QRS interphase and no obvious symptom might not require treatment but follow-up is needed. While infants with heart malformation and wide QRS wave could not endure the low ventricular rhythm are in high risk. Virus myocarditis induced CAVB children tend to present the Adams-Stokes syndrome, and require effective treatments. Partial cases of the CAVB caused by open heart operation may turn to normal sinus rhythm in 2-4 weeks after surgery. cases has persistent CAVB for over 4 weeks, or Adams-Stokes syndrome onset after the surgery demand epicardium pacemaker treatment.

Journal of Acupuncture and Tuina Science 2008;6(4):222-226
Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy and safety of early acupuncture in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Methods: In clinical randomized controlled trial, 90 subjects were divided into drug group and acupuncture group, 45 cases in each group. The neurological deficit score, Bathel index and some blood laboratory indexes were detected before and after treatment in both groups. Results: In acute stage, there were striking differences in the neurological deficit score and activities of daily living (ADL) between before and after treatments in acupuncture group (P<0.01), and between acupuncture group and drug group (P<0.01); but there was no difference in blood lipid and theology between two groups. Conclusion: Acupuncture is rather safe in the early treatment of acute ischemic stroke, and improvement of disability and the patients' quality of life.

AIM: To explore the possibility that the transcription factor GATA family member is involved in the regulation of Tie2 gene expression in the tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?) mediated inflammatory response.METHODS: The mRNA expression of GATA family members GATA2 and GATA3 was determined in primary human aortic endothelial cells(HAECs) and primary human pulmonary artery endothelial cells(HPAECs) before and after TNF-? treatment by real-time quantitative PCR.The activation of Tie2 gene promoter by GATA transcription factor was detected by luciferase assay. The electrophoretic mobility shift assays(EMSAs) and supershift assay were performed for verifying whether Tie2 gene expression was activated by the binding of GATA factors to Tie2 promoter.RESULTS: TNF-? increased the expression of GATA2 in HAECs and HPAECs.The highly expressed GATA2 was bound to the sequence(T/A) GATA(A/G) of Tie2 promoter, activated Tie2 gene promoter and up-regulated Tie2 gene expression.CONCLUSION: GATA transcription factor family member GATA2 up-regulates the expression of Tie2 gene in TNF-? mediated inflammatory response.
