1.Application researches of mesenchymal stem cells combined with statins in diabetic retinopathy
Chinese Journal of Experimental Ophthalmology 2017;35(7):660-663
Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a common complication of eye in diabetics and is one of the major causes of blindness in adults. The current treatments of DR include surgery and laser therapy, but this does not fundamentally cure DR.Recent studies have found that mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for cell therapy to DR have a wide range of applications.MSCs have regenerative potential and play a role in the repairment of the retina, but the survival and homing ability of MSCs are poor after transplantation, which reduces the therapeutic efficiency of MSCs.Statins have a variety of beneficial effects independent of lipid regulation, which can promote the proliferation of MSCs and inhibit the apoptosis of MSCs.This paper reviewed the application and mechanism of MSCs combined with statins in the treatment of DR.

5.Differential profeil proteomic of donor liver subject to ischemia and reperfusion injury during liver transplantation
Chinese Journal of Hepatobiliary Surgery 2011;17(11):886-890
ObjectiveTo identify the proteins presented variation during ischemia/reperfusion injury (I/RI) in liver transplantation (LT).MethodsAt Mar.2009,a total of nine liver sample tissues, three samples obtained from each donor liver at three different time points, were studied. The time points were as follows:(1) the time point immediately after donor liver was harvested (T1) ; (2) the time point just before the anastomosis of hepatic artery and potal vein (T2),during this time period the donor liver was kept in ice cold and transported, then back-table prepared, during time from T1 to T2,ischemia injury occurred; (3) the time after donor reconnected to the recipient (T3),during which the donor liver was subjected to reperfusion injury. The three time points represent normal control, ischemia injury, and reperfusion injury respectively.By using method of 2DE-MALDI-TOF and mass-spectrum,the differential expression of these protein at T1,T2,and T3 time point were compared.ResultsFrom the 1580 proteins that were isolated,19 ischemia/reperfusion injury (I/RI)-related proteins that varied markedly from time point T1 to T2 and from time point T2 to T3 were identified. They were metabolic enzyme, molecular chaperone, redoxase, cytoskeleton protein, signal transduction protein, and binding protein, respectively. The character of each protein was further analized based on their functions.ConclusionsFor the first time,we detected the protein related to I/RI during LT.We obtained independent proteomics information of ischemia injury, and reperfusion injury, respectively.Further functional analyses of these proteins may improve the understanding of the critical biological processes during I/RI.Medicine intervention on the I/RI-related proteins may result in improved survival of the recipients.
6.Synthetic biology toward microbial secondary metabolites and pharmaceuticals.
Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica 2013;48(2):155-60
Microbial secondary metabolites are one of the major sources of anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, antitumor, anti-virus and immunosuppressive agents for clinical use. Present challenges in microbial pharmaceutical development are the discovery of novel secondary metabolites with significant biological activities, improving the fermentation titers of industrial microbial strains, and production of natural product drugs by re-establishing their biosynthetic pathways in suitable microbial hosts. Synthetic biology, which is developed from systematic biology and metabolic engineering, provides a significant driving force for microbial pharmaceutical development. The review describes the major applications of synthetic biology in novel microbial secondary metabolite discovery, improved production of known secondary metabolites and the production of some natural drugs in genetically modified or reconstructed model microorganisms.
7.Trifoil peptide and gastrointestinal ulcer
Chinese Journal of General Surgery 2000;0(11):-
ObjectiveTo introduce the effect of trifoil peptides on the protection and treatment of gastrointestinal ulcer(GIU). MethodsWe reviewed literatures about trifoil peptide in its structure, distribution, physiologic effect and mechanism, and its relation with GIU. Results Trifoil peptides formed a layer of mucus glue by combining with glycoprotein ,and improved the defense ability of the gastrointestinal(GI) mucosa .Trifoil peptides repaired the GI mucosa by abjusting the movement of mucosal cells. Trifoil peptides also had the effect of antiproliferation and antiapopotosis. There was an ulcer-associated cell lineage (UACL) around GIU. In GIU, trifoil peptides unusually expressed new cells coming from UACL moved to the surface of ulcer, and repaired the ulcer. UACL can express three trifoil peptides.Used before and after the experiment, trifoil peptides have the protective and therapeutic effect on the experiment gastroenteric ulcer. ConclusionsTrifoil peptides may offer a new method to prevent and treat GIU.

10.Combined application of helicobacter pylori stool antigen test and serology in epidemiologic study of helicobacter pylori infection in children
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2004;0(11):-
Objective To evaluate the feasibility of combined application of helicobacter pylori stool antigen(HpSA)-and traditional serology in epidemiologic study of helicobacter pylori(Hp) infection in children. Methods Hp serum IgG antibodies were examined among 480 healthy children. Heticobacter pylori stool antigen(HpSA) were measured among children who were seropositive. Hp status was defined as positive when stool antigen test was positive, Hp status was defined as negative when seronegative. A case - control study was conducted to identify risk factors of Hp infection in preschool children. Results Among 480 preschool children, 172 (35 8 %) were sero- positive, 64(13.3 %) with positive result of HpSA test were diagnosed as current Hp infection. Univariate factor analysis demonstrated that Hp infection clustered in families and Hp infection was often acquired in childhood by oral-oral and fecal - oral person to person transmission. Conclusions HpSA and serology screening are two nomnvasive tests, simple not costly, effective and accurate. The combination of these 2 noninvasive methods can be applied in epidemiologic study of Hp infection in childrenJAppl Clin Pediatr,2004,19(11):948-950
