1.Analysis of 302 ADR Cases Caused by Danshen Injection

OBJECTIVE: To analyze the types and the potential causes of Danshen injection inducing ADR cases. METHODS: 302 ADR cases induced by Danshen injection were collected from ADR cases reported in Jiangsu province from 2003 to 2008 according to reported primarily susceptive drug and the description of the ADR. All cases were analyzed statistically to find out possible reason that ADR was induced by active components of Danshen injection. RESULTS: Of total 302 ADR cases, 0.66% was likely to be caused by the active components of Danshen injection; 96.36% allergic reaction were not possibly related to active components; 2.32% was caused by the drug preparation; 0.66% was caused by unclear reason. CONCLUSION: More than 90% ADR cases induced by Danshen injection manifests as allergic reaction, which isn’t possibly related to main active components. The active components could induce the hemorrhage.
2.CIK cells and their application in the tumor treatment

Cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells play important roles in the treatment of solid tumors.In particular,they have broad application prospects for the patients with recurrence or metastasis.Although recently CIK treatment strategy has achieved encouraging results in preclinical studies,there are still some difficulties in the clinical applications.Some key issues remain to be resolved,such as how to ensure that the antitumor immune effector can be a lot of amplified and can stay longer in the body,how to selectively kill tumor cells,and how to ensure the security of application.
3.Exploring the formation and essence of TCM related concepts from the human cognition procedure

From the human cognition procedure,after initially explores the formation and essence of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) related concepts,the author believes that the TCM related concepts are based on the phenomena(including the outside appearance of human body) in the natural world which can be felt directly by people’s sense organs,with the essence that is the re? ection of macro symptoms and physical signs,and the relative natural objective phenomena in people’s consciousness.In traditional Chinese medicine,there are not only the concepts formed by the things which can be felt directly by people’s senseorgans,but also those which are formed independent on the cognition by sense organs directly,and must be thought further.Either is not utterly visionary,the formation all based on the objective phenomena.If you grasp the phenomena,these concepts are not unacceptable and the TCM related research will stand on the ground further.
4.Ranibizumab combined with panretinal photocoagulation for severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy

Objective To evaluate the clinical efficacy of intravitreal injection of ranibizumab combined with panretinal photocoagulation for severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy.Methods Sixty-four cases (90 eyes) with severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy from July 2014 to June 2016 in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups according to the digital table.The observation group (32 cases,46 eyes) underwent intravitreal injection of reizumab combined with panretinal photocoagulation,and the control group (32 cases,44 eyes) were treated with only panretinal photocoagulation.The visual acuity,fundus,fundus fluorescein angiography and macnlar thickness postoperative 1 month,3 months,6 months were observed and detected.The mean thickness of the retinal neuroepithelium in the macular region and total volume of the 6 mm diameter neuroepithelium in the macular area were compared and statistically analyzed.The laser energy,number of spots and energy density were calculated and recorded.Results BCVA at postoperative 1 month,3 months,6 months in the observation and the control group were better than that before treatment(all P < 0.05),and the observation group was better than the control group (all P < 0.05).In the control group,BCVA had no statistically significant difference between 3 months and 6 months (P > 0.05),and the differences were statistically significant among other time points (all P < 0.05).In the observation group,the differences were statistically significant among all time points after treatment (all P < O.05).In the comparison of mean thickness of the retinal neuroepithelium in the macular region and total volume of the 6 mm diameter neuroepithelium in the macular area in the control group and the observation group before and after treatment,there were statistically significant differences at different time points between the two groups (all P < 0.05).Moreover,the average thickness of the retinal neuroepithelium and total volume of 6 mm diameter neuroepithelium in the macular region at postoperative 1 month,3 months,6 months were better than those in the control group (all P < 0.05).The laser energy,spot number and energy density of the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group (all P < 0.05).Conclusion Intravitreal injection of ranibizumab combined with panretinal photocoagulation for severe non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy can accelerate retinal neovascularization in a short period of time,reduce macular edema and improve the visual function of patients with less laser energy,the curative effect is better than application of retinal laser photocoagulation alone,is worthy of clinical promotion.
5.Median effective dose of intrathecal hyperbaric and hypobaric ropivacaine for cesarean section

ObjectiveTo determine the median effective dose (ED50) of intrathecal (IT) hyperbaric and hypobaric ropivacaine for elective cesarean section.MethodsForty parturients aged 20-40 yr at full term undergoing elective cesarean section under combined spinal-epidural anesthesia were randomized to receive IT 0.5 % hyperbaric (group HR) and hypobaric ropivacaine (group LR) ( n =20 each).The initial dose was 9 mg and the dose was increased/decreased by 1 mg in the next parturient using an up-and-down sequential allocation technique.Analgesia was considered acceptable if adequate analgesia reached T7 or higher in response to pin prick until 20 min after IT ropivacaine and no supplemental epidural analgesic was required during the operation.ED50 and 95%confidence interval (CI) were calculated.ResultsThe ED50 and 95 % CI were 9.34 mg (95 % CI 8.34-10.46mg) for 0.5% hyperbaric ropivacaine and 9.64 mg (95% CI 8.90-10.44 mg) for 0.5% hypobaric ropivacaine.ConclusionBaricity has no effect on the efficacy of IT ropivacaine for cesarean section.
6.Apoptosis of optic nerve cells after retinal contusion injury in rabbits

BACKGROUND:Retinal contusion injury is one of the leading causes for vision impairment, and clinical treatment is difficult. Although fundus change after retinal contusion injury has been ful y understood, the pathogenesis and drug treatment stil remain controversial.
OBJECTIVE:To explore the apoptosis and related mechanism of optic nerve cel s in rabbit model of retinal contusion injury.
METHODS:Forty-eight healthy adult rabbits without oculopathy were divided into eight groups:1 hour, 3 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, 28 days after contusion and normal control, with six rabbits in each group. Right eye of each rabbit was treated with Al en’s reformative hitting method as contusive retinopathy model. The eyebal s were enucleated at different time points after injury in rabbit retina. The pathological section of optic nerve 5 mm posterior to sieve plate was harvested. The morphologic changes of optic nerve were observed and number of glial cel s was measured using hematoxylin-eosin staining. Electron microscope and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick end labeling technique were used to assess apoptosis.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:In the normal control group, glial cel s presented cylinder shapes and neural fibers arranged neatly. The trend of the glial cel s was as the same as the neural fibers. But the optic nerve fibers arranged in disorder and the glial cel s lost polarity in the groups of 1 hour, 3 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days after retinal contusion injury. The number of glial cel s in 1 hour, 3 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days, and 28 days was extremely significantly reduced compared with normal control group (P<0.01). There was cel apoptosis in optic nerve after retinal contusion injury, but almost not observed in optic nerve from normal control group, 1 hour and 28 days after injury. The apoptotic cel s were abundant at 3 hours, 1 day, 3 days, 7 days, 14 days after injury, and peaked at 3 days, showing extremely significant differences compared with normal control group (P<0.01). Apoptosis occurs in optic nerve after contusion of retina, which may be one of the reasons for incomplete recovery of retinal function.

9.In vitro and vivo studies on features of rubella virus JR_ 23 strain in the infection of central nervous system

Objective To investigate the infectious features of rubella virus (RV) JR 23 strain in central nervous system (CNS). Methods RV JR 23 strain infected human primary cerebral neural cell culture in vitro and Balb/c mice, which were given dexamethasone and cytoxan before infection, via peritoneal injection. Viral pathogenecity was observed postinfection and RV antigens were detected in human cerebral neural cells by IFA and immunohistochemical method. Cerebral tissues were observed by HE staining and ABC methods postinfection.Results JR 23 strain didn't produce cytopathic effect (CPE). The proliferation of JR 23 strain reached highest titer of 10 3TCID 50 /ml at 72 h postinfection and decreased gradually. RV antigens were positive in cerebral neural cells, especially around the nuclei. Focal cytopathic areas were observed in cerebral cortical area and so did neuron necrosis around by gliacytes formed stellitorsis, neuronophagia and glial nodule. RV antigens could be seen in all cerebral area, but most localized in cortical area. Pathological features were basically the same among the infected groups. The infection rates of de xamethasone, cytoxan group and the group without intervention were 60%、90% and 50%, repectively. Conclusion RV JR 23 strain is not cytocidal to human neural cells and the pathological lesions induced by JR 23 strain in CNS of mice are mainly focal or dotted neuron necrosis.
