International Journal of Biomedical Engineering 2012;(6):369-372
The strategy of silico cloning based on the express sequence tags sequence (ESTs)and genome database is a new technique developed in recent years, and the core of the technique is to use bioinformatics technique to assemble and extend ESTs to get part of cDNA and even all sequence. It has the virtue of low investment, high speed, low and well-targeted technical requirements, etc. The relationship between human disease and genes has been widely confirmed, therefore, silico cloning technology will become the important means of disease research. This paper aims at elaborating the progress of silico cloning in medicine.
6.Value of laboratory tests for acute liver failure in children
Chinese Pediatric Emergency Medicine 2012;(6):564-566
Acute liver failure (ALF) in children is severe syndrome with varied etiology and a rapid deterioration of liver function which results in coagulopathy abnormality and encephalopathy.ALF in children often carries a high morbidity and mortality.Laboratory tests is helpful for diagnosis and severity assessment of ALF in children and is useful for predicting survival or need for liver transplantation. The objective of this article is to introduce the values of laboratory tests in clinical diagnosis, prognosis and timing for transplantation of ALF in children.
7.Effect of Danzhijiangtang Capsule on Serum Resistin Level in IR Rats
Chinese Journal of Information on Traditional Chinese Medicine 2006;0(07):-
Objective To investigate the effect of Danzhijiangtang Capsule on serum resistin level in insulin resistance (IR) rats induced by low dose of streptozotocin (STZ) and high calorie food. Methods Male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal group, model group, low dose and high dose of Danzhijiangtang capsule treating group. The rats of normal group were fed with common food while the others with high calorie food and injected with low dose of STZ. The weight, fasting blood glucose (FBG), fasting insulin (FIns), blood fat, resistin level of all rats were measured, and insulin sensitivity index (ISI) was calculated accordingly. Results Danzhijiangtang capsule could reduce body weight of IR rats. According to the results of biochemical indicator detection, Danzhijiangtang capsule could reduce FBG and FIns level, improve blood fat condition, enhance ISI effectively and decrease resistin level (P
