2.Genetic modification of bone marrow stem cells in treatment of hind limb ischemia

With the development of gene technology,it is gradually possible and much better for genetic modification of bone marrow stem cells in treatment of hindlimb ischemia. Gene modification of cells prior to their transplantation, especially stem cells, enhances their survival and increases their function in cell therapy. But this treatment is only used for the experimental stage. Here, we review the current uses of gene-modified bone marrow stem cells in vascular disease.
3.Research progress of the relationship between HGF/Met and invasion of thyroid carcinoma

Activation of HGF/Met has been complicated in tumorigenesis, invasion and metastasis of various tumors. We summarize current knowledge on their association with invasion of thyroid carcinoma. By discussing the expression of Met and its possible mechanism and analyzing the activation of Met with tumor motility, angiogenesis and inflammatory reaction, we conclude that the research of the possible role of HGF/Met in thyroid carcinoma will advance knowledge on the diagnosis and management of this disease,as well as tumor invasion.
4.A randomized, controlled, multi-centre clinical study on the efficacy of flupenthixol melitracen in the treatment of patients with functional dyspepsia accompanied by depression

Objective To explore the efficacy of flupenthixol melitracen in the treatment of functional dyspepsia (FD) and its effects on receptivity expansion and visceral sensitivity.Methods A randomized,controlled,multi-centre study was carried out.The FD patients with depression were divided into anti-depression group and control group.The patients of both groups received omeprazole and mosapride treatment for eight weeks.The patients of anti-depression group added flupenthixol melitracen and psychotherapy.Before the treatment,by the end of the second,fourth,sixth and eighth week of the treatment,the scores of upper gastrointestinal symptoms and adverse effects of the patients of the two groups were recorded,the psychological status was evaluated by Hamilton depression scale and the gastric receptivity expansion and visceral sensitivity were assessed by water loading test (WLT).The data were analyzed by t test and chi-square test.Results Among two hundred and fifty enrolled FD patients with depression,245 patients (129 in anti-depression group,116 in control group) were enrolled in intention-to treat analysis.Before the treatment and by the end of the eighth week of the treatment,the scores of upper gastrointestinal symptoms of anti depression group were 12.23±4.45 and 2.31±2.13 (t=22.837,P=0.008),the control group were 12.29± 4.62 and 8.58±3.76 (t=6.708,P=0.184).By the end of the eighth week of treatment,the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (t =16.261,P<0.05).By the end of the fourth and eighth week of treatment,the total effective rates of the improvement of upper gastrointestinal symptoms of anti-depression group were 76.0% (98/129) and 83.7% (108/129),control group were 14.7 % (17/116) and 25.9 % (30/116),the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (x2 =92.191 and 83.117,both P<0.05).By the end of the eighth week of treatment,the total effective rate of the improvement of depression of anti depression group was 71.3% (92/129),which was higher than that of control group (23.3%,27/116),the difference between two groups was statistically significant (x2 54.434,P<0.01).Before the treatment,the maximum WLT volume of anti depression group was (850±130) mL,by the end of the eighth week of treatment was (1400±210) mL (t=25.292,P<0.01).Before the treatment and by the end of the eighth week of treatment,the maximum WLT volumes of control group were (800± 120) mL and (960±140) mL (t=9.345,P<0.01).All the adverse effects of anti depression therapy were mild.Conclusion The treatment of flupenthixol melitracen can improve the efficacy in patients with FD,relieve the depression status,improve gastric receptivity expansion and visceral sensitivity with a good safety and tolerability.
5.Efficacy of Partial Cardiac Auto-transplantation for Treating the Patients With Giant Left Atrium

Objective: To explore the clinical effcacy and short-term survival rate of partial cardiac auto-transplantation for treating the patients with giant left atrium.
Methods: A total of 7 patients with rheumatic heart disease received partial cardiac auto-transplantation in our hospital from 2012-08 to 2013-05 were retrospectively studied. The patients were at the age of (54.9±5.0) years including 3 male, all of them combined with giant left atrium and pre-operative atrial ifbrillation (AF), 6 of them received radio-frequency ablation. All patients were monitored for their baseline condition, operative status, peri-operative mortality and complication occurrence for clinical analysis.
Results: All 7 patients received mitral valve replacement, 5 had aortic valve replacement and 2 had aortic valve-plasty, the mean aortic cross clamp time was (271.7±29.0) min. The average left atrial diameter decreased from (91.7±3.5) mm to (64.8±8.1) mm, left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) improved from (38.3±6.5) % to (47.4±6.1) % at discharge, allP<0.05; 4 patients recovered to sinus rhythm and no peri-operative death occurred. The patients were followed-up for (20.7±3.9) months, 1 year post-operational survival rate was 100%, 1 patient died at 17 months after operation and the average left atrial diameter was (56.3±3.4) mm in rest 6 patients at the last examination during follow-up period.
Conclusion: Partial cardiac auto-transplantation may obviously reduce left atrial diameter with good clinical effect in certain patients with giant left atrium.
6.Application of da Vinci Surgical System in tumors of head and neck

Despite lack of applications in tumors of head and neck, its advantages, such as minimally invasive procedure and rapid recovery, show great prospects. In this article, we reviewed the surgical method, indication, advantages and prospects of its application in tumors of head and neck.
7.A study on the homogeneity of the therapeutic effect on stroke patients in rehabilitation Medical Association

Objective:To investigate the therapeutic effect of stroke patients received rehabilitation treatment at different medical units in the Rehabilitation Medical Association.Method:Totally 183 stroke patients were recruited from October 12,2012 to February 5,2016 by Shenzhen Rehabilitation Medical Association(SRMA).SRMA consists of 4 members,including the Second People's Hospital of Shenzhen,Shenzhen Nan'ao People's Hospital,Shenzhen Baoxing Hospital and Community Healthcare Center in Futian District,which belong to tertiary hospital,secondary hospital,and primary healthcare unit,respectively.According to the time of onset of stroke,all the patients were divided into recovery phase or sequelae phase.The rehabilitation facilities were standardized.All patients received rehabilitation treatment for 4 weeks,which included functional rehabilitation training of limb,functional electrical stimulation training,activities of daily living training.Fugl-Meyer Assessment(FMA),balance subscale of the Fugl-Meyer test(FMB),National Institute of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS) and modified Barthel Index(MBI) before and after rehabilitation treatment were used to evaluate the effects.Result:The scores of FMA,FMB,NIHSS and MBI were significantly improved in all the groups after rehabilitation treatment(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference in all assessments among the groups(P> 0.05).Conclusion:Based on the standardized rehabilitation treatment programs,the stroke patients come from the members of Rehabilitation Medical Association can achieve homogeneous effects after rehabilitation treatment.
8.Effect of psychological behavior intervention on patients with functional constipation

Objective To investigate the effect of the psychological behavior intervention on the mental status and clinical symptom of patients with functional constipation. Methods All of 78 patients with functional constipation diagnosed by Rome m diagnostic code were randomly divided into study group (n =40) and control group (n = 38). The psychological behavior intervention was used in the study group, the caccagogue and symptomatic treatment was used in the control group. The self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depressive scale (SDS) was analyzed and the improving of clinical symptom, adverse effect was compared before and after 4 weeks of treatment respectively. Results The scores of SAS and SDS in the study group significantly decreased after treatment [ (36.25±8.61 )scores vs (42.97±9.25 )scores, P<0.01 ;(38.81±6.53)scores vs (43.36±7.18 )scores ,P < 0.01].There was significant difference between the two groups after treatment (P <0.05).The effective rate of study group was higher than that of control group .(97.50% vs 84.21%,P <0.05). The rate of celiodynia, diarrhea and the recrudescence after the course of treatment in control group was 23.68%, 15.79% and 89.47% respectively, while this numerus in study group was 5.00%,2.50% and 5.00%. Conclusions Psychological behavior intervention plays an important role in the treatment of functional constipation. It can improve the mental status, clinical symptom, and decrease the adverse effect.
9.Principles and procedure of determining criteria for smear review following automated complete blood count and leukocyte differential count

The history of automated blood cell analysis and current situation regarding the peripheral blood smear review following automated complete blood count(CBC) and leukocyte differential count(LDC) was introduced. Principles and procedure of determining criteria for blood smear review in clinical laboratory was elucidated in combination with 41 consensus rules for the review of automated CBC and LDC proposed by the International Consensus Group for blood smear review.
10.Abnormal Expression of Tumor Suppressor Gene WWOX in Human Benign and Malignant Pleural Effusion

Objective: To detect the abnormal expression of WWOX (WW domain containing oxidoreduc-tase) exons 6-8 at mRNA level in human benign and malignant pleural effusion and to investigate the role of loss of WWOX exons 6-8 in the development of malignant pleural effusion. Methods; Deletion of WWOX ex-ons 6-8 mRNA transcript was analyzed by reverse transcriptase-PCR technology. Results: Of the 56 malig-nant pleural effusion samples, 39 showed loss of WWOX exons 6-8 mRNA transcript (69.6%). This deletion was not detected in the 20 benign pieural effusion samples. Conclusion: WWOX gene may play an important role in the develepment of malignant Neural effusion, Detection of WWOX exons 6-8 mRNA may serve as a candidate molecular target for treatment of malignant pleural effusion and can be a promising index in differen-tial diagnosis of benign and malignant pleural effusion.
