Chinese Journal of Medical Physics 2010;27(2):1755-1757,1780
Objective:It proposed a new arithmetic of medical image coding based on the lifting scheme wavelets and the set partitioning in hierarchical trees. Methods: Due to the computational complexity of the traditional wavelet, the lifting scheme, which could speed up the fast wavelet transform, was adopted instead of the traditional wavelet transform. With the comprehensive utilization of SPIHT and arithmetic coding, it could achieve to code medical images. Results: At a range of compression ratio, the peak signal to noise ratio was markedly improved, and it could ensure the quality of the reconstruction of medical image to meet the medical image data storage and transmission needs. Conclusions: The simulation experiments show that at the same bit rate, the peak signal to noise ratio is markedly improved.
2.The effect of ultrashortwave diathermy on pulmonary hypertension in patients with chronic pulmonary heart disease
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2003;0(04):-
Objective To investigate the effect of ultrashortwave diathermy on pulmonary hypertension in patients with chronic cor pulmonale(CCP), and its mechanism. Methods Eighty-seven cases of acute phase CCP were divided into 2 groups: an ultrashortwave treatment group, in which 45 patients were treated with both ultrashortwave diathermy and conventional treatment; and a control group, in which 42 patients received regular treatment. The plasma levels of VEGF, ET-1 and the PaO_2, mPAP and FEV1.0 in the two groups were measured before and after treatment. Results In contrast to the control group, the FEV1.0 and PaO_2 of the experimental group were remar-kably increased, while their VEGF, ET-1 and mPAP were significantly decreased after treatment. VEGF and ET-1 were negatively related to PaO_2, and positively related to mPAP. Conclusions Ultrashortwave therapy is effective in treating pulmonary hypertension in patients with CCP. The mechanism for this may involve the synthesis and release of VEGF and ET-1.

Journal of International Oncology 2011;38(8):592-595
The vectors play an important role in gene therapy by transporting the therapy genes into target tumor cells. At present there are mainly two kinds of gene vectors, including biological and non-biological vectors. Biological vectors, including virus, bacteria and stem cells, have good target activity and can efficiently delivery the genes into target tumor cells, but have potential genetic hazards. However, non-biological vectors, including liposomes and nanoparticles, can be simplely prepared with high genetic safety, but they can not transport the genes efficiently. Therefore, establishing safe and effective malignant glioma gene treatment system and finding gene vectors with good target activity become the research focus.

Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2003;0(01):-
Objective To explore the causes and treatment measures of hyponatremia after liver transplantation. Methods The clinical data of 27 patients with hyponatremia after liver transplantation were analyzed retrospectively. Results Among the 27 patients, postoperative hyponatremia occurred in 25 cases in about one week, and preoperative hyponatremia occurred in 2 cases and severe ~hyponatre -mia occurred immediate after operation. Acute hyponatremia occurred in one case. Blood natrium was 130 to 135 mmol/L in 10 cases, 120 to 130 mmol/L in 12 cases and less than 120 mmol/L in 5 cases. The levels of blood potassium, phosphor and calcium were all normal. Urinary natrium, potassium and chlorine levels were all normal. The ascites natrium level was higher than blood natrium at the same time. Hyponatremia was treated by supply of hypertonic saline via gastrointestine an/or veins. Conclusion Various causes could result in hyponatremia after liver transplantation. The hyponatremia was treated by supply of hypertonic saline constantly and slowly.

Objective To evaluate the clinical features, diagnosis, and outcome of the treatment of cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis, and the relationship between CMV retinitis and acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Methods A total of 95 eyes of 56 patients with cytomegalovirus retinitis and AIDS were studied. The fundus feature, visual acuity and CD4 + T lymphocyte counts were analyzed and the follow up periods ranged from 2 weeks to 18 months. Results Before the definitive diagnosis of CMV retinitis, the courses of AIDS were 4 to 26 months in all patients. In the initial examination, the granular form of CMV retinal lesion was noted in 55 eyes (57%) in which retinal lesion of 46 eyes was peripheral. The fulminant form of CMV retinitis of 25 eyes (26%) was found in the posterior pole and consisted of densely opaque retinal lesions with blotchy hemorrhage and vasculitis. The overlap between these two presentations was noted in 15 eyes. Papillitis was observed in 7 eyes of CMV retinitis in this series of patients. The visual acuity ranged from finger counting to 0.5. The patients with extensive CMV retinitis or CMV retinitis in the posterior pole got poorer vision. The CD4 + T lymphocyte counts of 30 patients was 0 30 (mean, 15?9/?l), and the survival time ranged from 2 weeks to 18 months (mean, 6.4?3.3 months). The vision was improved and CD4 + T lymphocyte counts was significantly higher in the group treated with ganciclovir, and progression of CMV retinitis occured and the vision decreased in the non treated group. Conclusion CMV retinitis is the most common intraocular complication in patients with AIDS. Diagnosis of CMV retinitis is based on the characteristic of necrotizing retinitis which was typically associated with retinal hemorrhage and vasculitis. Ganciclovir is effective for the treatment of CMV retinitis.
