Cytochrome P450 monoxygenase converts arachionic acid to four epoxyeicosatrienoic acid regiosomes: 5,6-EET(epoxyeicosatrienoic acid);8,9-EET; 11,12-EET and 14,15-EET.Recent studies show that EETs are involved in signal transduction. EETs open Ca 2+ -sensitive K + channel and inhibit Na + channel,Ca 2+ -sensitive Cl - channel and so on. What is more ,EETs have been demonstrated to activate PP60 c-src and initiate a tyrosine kinase cascade that mediates mitogenic effects.

Epoxyeicosatrienoic acids(EETs)are the metabolic products of arachidonic acid(AA). They have the function of stimulating cell division, inhibiting platelet aggregation and regulating the transfer of cell calcium. In recent years, more and more people paid their attention to the effects of EETs on heart. This article will give a review about EETs and the relationship between EETs and heart.

A Review The endothelium derived hyperpolarizing factor (EDHF) has been paied attention to since the late 1980s. But it is not clear which are EDHF. The article reviewed the EDHF works and epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs),an important kind of EDHF.

Objective To evaluate the performance of virtual touch tissue quantification imaging (VTQ) for differential diagnosing in uterine hysteromyoma and adenomyoma. Methods Blood flow parameters and SWV (shear wave velocities) from 42 regular hysteromyomas,14 abnormal hysteromyomas and 25 uterine adenomyomas were compared and analyzed through color Doppler. Results The SWV of regular hysteromyomas was on average of (2.72 ± 0.31) m/s;that of abnormal hysteromyomas (1.88 ± 0.25) m/s;while the SWV of uterine adenomyomas was on average of 1.91 ± 0.27 m/s. The mean SWV in regular hysteromyomas group was significantly higher than that in abnormal hysteromyomas group and uterine adenomyomas group (P < 0.05). There was no significant difference of SWV between abnormal hysteromyomas group and uterine adenomyomas group (P > 0.05).The resistance index and SWV of uterine hysteromyomas and adenomyomas had positive correlation (r = 0.753,0.544,0.506,P < 0.05). Conclusion VTQ can quantify the stiffiness of uterine hysteromyoma and adenomyoma.

ObjectiveTo detect serum soluble B7-H4 (sB7-H4) levels in patients with non-small cell lung cancer ( NSCLC ) and explore its clinical significances.MethodsThe sB7-H4 levels the sera of in 102 NSCLC patients,60 benign lung disease patients and 90 healthy controls were determined by ELISA.The relation between serum sB7-H4 levels and NSCLC of pathological staging was analyzed by use of t test.ResultsThe serum sB7-H4 levels in NSCLC,benign lung disease and heathy control groups were (45.61 ±5.67 ),( 30.14 ± 3.51 ) and ( 28.52 ± 4.76 ) μg/L,respectively.The levels of NSCLC group were significantly higher than those of benign lung disease and healthy control groups ( t =2,59 and 3.61,P ＜ 0.05 ).The serum sB7-H4 levels of Ⅲ/IV stage NSCLC patients ( 63.93 t 4.76 ) μgL,with lymph node metastasis (61.73 ±3.97) μg/L and before operation patients (63.29 ±6.19) μg/L were relatively higher thanthose inthe Ⅰ/Ⅱ stage(35.12 ± 3.88 )μg/L, without lymphnode metastasis (40.26 ± 5.39 ) μg/L,after operation ( 40.51± 4.08 ) μg/L.There were significant difference ( t =6.78,5.73 and 3.67,P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Serum sB7-H4 of NSCLC patients increases significantly and correlates with clinical stages and therapeutic conditions.Detecting on sB7-H4 is helpful for lung cancer diagnosis and therapeutic effect evaluation.

ObjectiveTo explore the levels and clinical significance of osteopontin (OPN) in serum of patients with non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).MethodsOPN levels of 102 cases of NSCLC,42 cases of benign lung disease and 30 cases of healthy control were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).ResultsThe serum OPN levels of NSCLC were significantly higher than those of benign lung disease group and healthy control group (P＜0.01).The levels of OPN in serum were compared between different gender,age,histological differentiation and pathological type groups,but there were no significant difference (P＞0.05).The serum OPN levels of Ⅲ - Ⅳ stage NSCLC patients,with lymph node metastasis,before operation patients,recrudescent patients,survival below 3 years patients were relatively higher than that in the patients with Ⅰ - Ⅱ stage,without lymph node metastasis,after operation,no recrudescent,survival over 3 years patients,and the differences were significant (P＜0.01).ConclusionsOPN levels in serum reflected the severity of the disease,which can be used to determine the effects of surgery and monitor recurrence and evaluate prognosis.

Objective To compare the optical properties and visual quality between Tecnis ZMB00 and AcrySof ReSTOR SN6AD1 multifocal intraocular lens (MIOL) in patients undergoing cataract surgery.Methods A total of 120 patients (130 eyes) who umderwent elective cataract surgery in our hospital from March 2012 to July 2015 were selected prospectively.All patients were treated with diffractive MIOL,and divided into group A (Tecnis ZMB00 group) and group B (AcrySof ReSTOR SN6AD1 group).The uncorrected distance visual acuity (UCDVA),uncorrected near visual acuity (UCNVA),uncorrected medium distance visual acuity (UCIVA),best corrected distance visual acuity (BCDVA) and best corrected near visual acuity (BCNVA) were measured before and after surgery.The defocusing curve was drawn for analysis of the contrast sensitivity,and the postoperative visual function and survival quality questionnaire (VF-14) was used to evaluate the postoperative visual quality.Results At 1 week,1 month and 3 months after surgery,recovery of UCNVA,UCIVA and BCNVA in group A was better than that in group B (all P ＜ 0.05).At 1 week and 3 months after surgery,the recovery of UCDVA in group A was better than that in group B (all P ＜ 0.05).At 3 months after surgery,the spherical equivalent was lower in group A than group B (P ＜ 0.05).The contrast sensitivities under scotopia,photopic glare and scotopic glare of different frequencies in group A were higher than those in group B (all P＜0.05).The VF-14 score in group A at 3 months after surgery was lower than that in group B (P＜0.05).In group A,0.0 D and-2.5 D formed 2 peaks,and from-2.0 D to-2.5 D formed the platform stage,while in group B,only 0.0 D and-3.0 D formed 2 peaks.Conclusion The implantation of Tecnis ZMB00 MIOL after cataract surgery can improve the uncorrected visual acuity of treated eye,contrast sensitivities,postoperative visual function and quality of life of patients.

AIM: In order to study the relationship between the ERK and p38 MAPK activation and the protection of 11, 12-epoxyeicosatrienoic acid (11, 12-EET) and ischemia preconditioning (IP), the effects of 11, 12-EET and ischemic preconditioning on phosphorylated ERK and p38 MAPK during ischemia and reperfusion in rat myocardium were examined. METHODS: The rat heart was subjected to ischemia for 5 min by ligating the left anterior descending coronary artery followed by reperfusion for 5 min (two times) to undergo ischemia preconditioning. The rats were divided into 5 groups: (1) control; (2) sham group; (3) ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) group, in which the rat heart suffered from 60 min ischemia followed by 30 min reperfusion; (4) IP plus I/R group; (5) EET plus I/R group, in which 6.28?10 -8 mol/L 11, 12-EET was injected intravenously 20 min before I/R. The heart function was examined, and phosphorylated ERK and p38 MAPK were detected by Western blot. RESULTS: At 30 min reperfusion, +dp/dt max ,-dp/dt max and LVDP decreased significantly in I/R group compared with sham group, IP plus I/R group and EET plus I/R group; Phosphorylated ERK1/2 level was higher in I/R group than sham group, but was lower in I/R group than IP plus I/R group and EET plus I/R group; Phosphorylated p38 MAPK level was lower in control, sham, IP plus I/R and EET plus I/R group than I/R group. CONCLUSION: 11,12-EET protects rat heart against ischemia/reperfusion injury, the mechanism may be related to activation of ERK1/2 and inhibition of p38 MAPK. [

Objective To investigate the effects of 5-Aza-CdR (methylation transferase inhibitor) on gene expression levels of interleukin-1β (IL-1β),transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) in chondrocytes.Methods Chondrocytes from patients with osteoarthritis (OA) (n=22),rheumatoid arthritis (RA) (n=3) or trauma without rheumatic diseases (n=10) were collected and cultured.The mRNA expression levels of IL-1β,TGF-β and NOS were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).Chondrocytes in trauma group were treated with 5-Aza-CdR(10μmol/L) for 72 h,and the mRNA and protein expression levels of IL-1β,TGF-β and NOS were detected by RT-PCR and ELISA,respectively.Results The mRNA expression levels of IL-1β,TGF-β and NOS were increased in OA and RA group as compared with trauma group (P＜0.05),while they had no differences between OA and RA groups.After treated with 5-Aza-CdR,the mRNA and protein expression levels of IL-1β,TGF-β and NOS in chondrocytes rised in trauma group as compared with pretreatment (all P＜0.05).Conclusions The mRNA expression levels of IL-1β,TGF-β and NOS in chondroytes are higher in OA and RA patients.5-Aza-CdR could increase the mRNA and protein expression levels of IL-1β,TGF-β and NOS by inducing relative gene methylation,which suggests demethylation might play a role in OA pathogenesis by influncing the inflammatory signal pathway or cell apoptosis.

Objective:To investigate oxidative modification of β2-glycoprotein Ⅰ in vit ro.Methods:Rat β2-glycoprotein Ⅰ was purified and characterized,then oxidize d by hypoxanthine plus xanthine oxidase as a supreroxide free radical generating system;carbonl groups of β2-glycoprotein Ⅰ were detected by the reaction w ith 2,4-dinitrophenylhudrazine.Results:There was a significant increase of carbonyl groups formation in β2- glycoprotein Ⅰ oxidized in comparison with native β2-glycoprotein Ⅰ (P <0.05). Conclusion:Carbonyl groups have been formed in vitro on rat β2-glycoprotein Ⅰ after oxidative modification using hypoxanthine plus xanthine oxidase system.
