1.Variation of serum hepatic enzymes, bilirubinemia during the use of RH in the treatment of pulmonary TB
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2003;2():34-37
The prospective study was carried out at Phuc Yen Hospital of tuberculosis and lung diseases from March 2000 to March 2001, on 60 patients with newly acquired AFB (+) tuberculosis. 30 patients of control group were treated by 2 SHRZ/6HE procedure, and 30 of studied group by 2SHRZ/4RH. Danan method (1992) give results that: SGOT, SGPT, bilirubin of the two groups directly increased after first month use of medication, with significantly statistic difference, as comparing before treatment, and returned to normal in 2nd month. SGPT, bilirubin directly increased 2N in 2 groups occurred mainly after the first month. No clinical sign of hepatitis was noted. Between the 2 groups there was not significant variation of liver enzym and bilirubin during the treatment course

2.Assessment of the two procedures of 2SHRZ and 2SHRZ/4RZ in treating AFB (+) tuberculesis by culture of BK in sputum
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;439(1):14-16
60 patients with newly acquired pulmonary tuberculosis AFB (+) treated in Phuc Yen central Hospital of tuberculosis and lung disease from March/2000 to March/2001 were divided into 2 groups. Group I – 30 subjects used the procedure of 2SHZ/6HE and group II – 30 subjects, the procedure of 2SHZ/4RZ. The ratio of becoming negative AFB in sputum is the same in two groups, 93.3% after 2 months of treatment and 100% at the end of treatment. By 2SHRZ/6HE, the succesful resnet accounts for 96.7%, and 2SHRZ/4RH 100%. After 2 months of treatment, most of symptoms were resolved quickly and entirely resolved at the end of treament. In two groups the gain of weight is similar. By X-rays examination, good response appeared similarly in two groups (90-93%)

Journal of Medical Research 2007;52(5):57-63
Background: Obstetric complications always are the risk factors which impact on pregnant women, especially no having care and treatment on time. Objectives: (1) To determine the rate of obstetric complications in some communes of Hoai Duc district, Ha Tay province. (2) To identify some factors which may have impact obstetric complications in the community. Subjects and method: Conducting a cross ?sectional survey with 363 women randomly chosen for sampling from the list of 1.530 women of reproductive age having terminated their pregnancy dressed for a six ?month period (from 1 October 2004 to 31 March 2005) in 10 communes of Hoai Duc district, Ha Tay province. Results: The obstetric complications rate was 9.9%. Obstetric complications recorded under the research often had the following forms: hemorrhage (94.4%), infection and pre ?eclampsia/eclampsia, each of them (2.8%). obstetric complications regularly happened with women of over 40 years old (20%). Those complications were closely linked to vaginal bleeding symptom during pregnant period with p<0.05. Conclusion: Obstetric complication rate was 9.9%, mostly hemorrhage. There was close relation between obstetric complication with vaginal bleeding symptom during pregnant period.

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2007;17(2):50-54
Background: Noise pollution has seriously negative effects on worker’s health, especially their hearing ability. Occupational hearing loss is one of 21 insured occupational diseases. Occupational hearing loss is common in workers in transpostation, construction, energy heavy and light industry areas. Objectives: 1. To determine the degree of noise pollution in Thua Thien Hue Unity Auto Mechanical Joint Stock Company. 2. To evaluate occupational failing hearing and occupational hearing loss among workers in the company. 3. To promote preventive measures which imnimize occupational failing hearing and occupational hearing loss. Subjects and method:A cross-sectional, descriptive study was carried out in 254 employees in Thua Thien Hue Unity Auto Mechanical
', u'Joint Stock Company. Results and Conclusion: 72.7% the employees of Thua Thien Hue Unity Auto Mechanical
', u'Joint Stock Company have exposed to environmental noise at the level higher than the permitted one. The rate of occupational failing hearing among these people is rather high (33.1%), and occupational hearing loss rate is 11.8%. There is a increased rate of occupational hearing loss according to the employee’s age and seniority. Proposed preventive measures should be immediately conducted (P < 0.05).
', u'

Journal of Preventive Medicine 2007;17(4):33-38
Background: In Viet Nam, there were many researches on determining lead level in blood, food and environment. But until now, there were not researches on determining lead level in fishermen community. Objectives: Determine trace amount of lead by von-ampe dissolve anot using electrode BiFE. Analysis on trace amount of lead in blood and urine of fishermen in Canh Duong village. Propose solutions for preventing lead poisoning in studied community. Subjects and method: Fishermen in Canh Duong village, Phu Loc, Thua Thien Hue province. The method differential pulse-anodic stripping voltametry (DP-ASV) using Bismuth Film Electrodic in situ was successfully applied to measure lead levels in blood and 24h urine of fishermen in Canh Duong village. Results: The mean level of lead in blood of the suspected group (fishermen) in Canh Duong village (34,7 \xb5g/dL) was higher than that of the control group (16,3 \xb5g/dL). For both groups, 37 out of 40 blood samples (92,5%) had lead level higher than WHO’s recommended level (10 \xb5g/dL). Especially, 6 of 40 blood samples (15%) had lead level higher than 50 \xb5g/dL. The lead level in 24h urine of suspected group had slightly higher (about 1,2 times) than that in the control group. The lead level of the two groups was much higher than the normal level. Conclusion: The method DP-ASV/BiFE in situ was applied successfully to determine lead level in blood and 24h urine. The investigative results of related information showed that: the risk of chronic lead poisoning in studied community very high.
