1.Measuring potency of Candida albicans allergen through tests in vivo and in vitro
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2005;0(3):41-47
Using tests in vivo and in vitro to assess potency of Candida albicans allergen in 6 lots of rats with 250 - 300g in bodyweight, each lot had 10 rats. Results: anaphylactic value was 3.4±0.04, mastocyte test, prick test and stimulatory test had highly positive rates. Aandida Albicans allergen is one of the rhinitis inducing allergens that have high positive rate of tests: prick test 55.36%, stimulatory test 87.10%. Candida albicans allergen can be used for specific diagnosis in subjects, who are suspected of allergy with Candida albicans

4.Epidemiological characteristics of B virus hepatitis in seamen
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2004;14(6):11-16
A study was carried out on 737 seamen working in maritime transport companies at Hai Phong. The results showed that the prevalence of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection among seamen was 54,86%, in which 15.57% were found to be positive with HbsAg and 39.29% positive with anti HBs. The HBV infection rate increased with age. The highest HBV infection rate was in 30 – 49 age group. Furthermore, the HBV infection rate increased with the number of years of service, and was highest when people had worked for 6 – 15 years. HBV infection rate among the seamen with good knowledge on hepatitis was likely lower than that of the seamen with inadequate or incorrect knowledge about hepatitis

5.Evaluation about effect of dust house through resullt of diagnosis and immunotherapy
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;503(2):44-48
The study have been perfomed in 80 patients (mean age: 28.87) suffered allergic rhinitis by house dust mite at Central Otorhinolaryngology Hospital and 103 Military Hospital and 45 healthy people. Among the patients, 63.75% was from 16 to 30 years old. The older people have less rate of catching disease. 60% patients have allergic individual history and 61.25% have allergic family history. 80 patients have two symptoms of rhinitis, 67 patients have three symptoms . In prick test, the rate of positive 1+ was highest. Positive results for house dust mite was higher, especially in 2+ and 3+ levels. After treatment, diameter of elevated lesions reduced significantly. 65 patients were positive in nasal stimulating test. Before treatment, patients had mastocyte disintegrate level from 6% to 40%. After treatment: IgA increased significantly, IgM increased unsignificantly
Average IgE level in healthy people is lower than that in patients. Result of immune treatment after 6 months is very good and good (80%)

6.Preparation of Candida albicans allergen
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2005;0(3):1-9
The study uses combining allergen preparation process of Coca and Sutherland method to prepare feather allergen with efficiency of 1.87g%. The allergen composes 16 amino acids, among that cyclic ones are of 19.25% and total nitrogen protein levels are 11,940 PNU (1/500 solution). OBJECTIVES: The average alcohol consumption per capita among Vietnamese adults has consistently increased. Although alcohol-related disorders have been extensively studied, there is a paucity of research shedding light on this issue among Internet users. The study aimed to examine the severity of alcohol-related disorders and other associated factors that might predispose individuals towards alcohol usage in a sample of youths recruited online. METHODS: An online cross-sectional study was conducted with 1,080 Vietnamese youths. A standardized questionnaire was used. Respondent-driven sampling was applied to recruit participants. Multivariate logistic and Tobit regressions were utilized to identify the associated factors. RESULTS: About 59.5% of the males and 12.7% of the total youths declared that they were actively using alcohol. From the total sample, a cumulative total of 32.3% of the participants were drinking alcohol, with 21.8% and 25.0% of the participants being classified as drinking hazardously and binge drinkers, respectively. The majority of the participants (60.7%) were in the pre-contemplative stage. CONCLUSIONS: A high prevalence of hazardous drinking was recognized among online Vietnamese youths. In addition, we found relationships between alcohol use disorder and other addictive disorders, such as tobacco smoking and water-pipe usage. Our results highlighted that the majority of the individuals are not receptive to the idea of changing their alcohol habits, and this would imply that there ought to be more government effort towards the implementation of effective alcohol control policies.
