Fifty three of normogravid - normotensive women who subsequently developed pregnancy - included hypertension demonstrated an increase in diastolic blood pressure at least 20 mmHg when turned from the lateral recumbent to the supine position, between twenty eight and thirty six weeks of gestation. Conversely 95.8% percent of women who did not demonstrate such a rise in diastolic blood pressure when turned to supine position did not become hypertensive during that pregnancy. The results demonstrated the high validity of this method as follow: the sensivity of predictive value: 65%. The specificity of predictive value: 93%, the positive predictive value: 53%, the negative predictive value: 96%.

Center for the trauma and orthopady treated 200 cases of foot deformity in which 1,500 cases received operations. Most of them were congenital club foot (70%) followed by club food due to the polio fever(20%) due to the brain paralysis (5%) and due to arthrogrip ossis (5%). The orthopadic equipments were applied for 35 cases. The equipment was used within 5 weeks and continuously fixed by gypsum up to 3 months from the day of operation.

Melaleuca alternifolia Cheel was acclimatized from Australia to grow in Vietnam. The water extracts of Macrotermes anadelei and Polyrachis dives were shown to improve the memorization power of rats at the dose of 10 mg/kg body weight. After the 21-days training for one trial learning avoidance test, the time the rats remained in the bright chamber was reduced to 47.2% for those received M. anadelei, and 43.6% for P. dives, not significantly lower than Ginkgo biloba (50.6%). In Morris Water Maze, both those extracts were also proved to boost the process of learning and memorization in mice.

Subjects: Patients without health insurance were discharged in Gia Luong district hospital, Bac Ninh province in 4/1998; 81,08% population of Gia Luong district have no health insurance 0,8% population received the human health insurance. 383 inpatients without health insurance (58,8%) and 41,2% inpatient with health insurance. The average duration of treatment was 7,4 days, less than this of inpatient with health insurance (8,5 days).Total cost/patient/round of treatment was 375.000 VND. This cost was higher 2,7 times than average income. 40,5% inpatients had to borrow. 1/4 (25%) patients want to early discharged during uncompleted free-disease. The rate of poor population received hospital bursar reduction or was very low because of the complicated procedure.
