1.On occasion of one case of the left posterior communicating carotid aneurysm
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;263(9):156-158
Intracranial aneurysms focus very often in the polygonal of Willis. They appear at the site of carotid-posterior communicating artery with high rate. Headache usually appears in these lesions. Subarachnoid hemorrhage is an early complication. Cerebral angiography plays a very important part in the diagnosis of these lesions but enhanced CT-Scanner can reveal them easily. We used sugita clip in the treatment of this aneurysm and had a good result. This spring clip that remains international standards is applied in spreading around the world.

2.Surgical treatment of 8 patients with cerebral atteriovenous malformation
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1998;225(6):149-155
Most of arteriovenous malformations have the congenital origin and are formed from the mesoderm. They usually are seen under the 40 age and can be ruptured during any time. Sometimes they are also related to stress. Cerebral angiography keeps to play an important role in the diagnosis of AVM Digital Subtraction Angiography is a new advance in AVM diagnosis, it reveals AVM exactly and clearly. So, it helps the neurosurgeons to assess the treatment procedure appropriately. The characteristics of the surgical indications:* AVM in the surface of the cortex or under the cortex.* Size under 6 cm in diameter. * Noneloquent areas.* Without other diseases. Prevention of seizure with phenytoine is nesessary for pre and post operation. Nowadays, gamma knife is applied in spreading around the world with small and deep AVM or eloquent areas.

3.Surgical treatment of cervical spinal stenosid
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2001;261(7):29-43
100 patients involving Cervical Spinal Stenosis have been operated on from 10/1995- 9/1999 in the Spinal Surgery Dep. A Centre for Trauma- orthopedics in HCM city. The clinical data was as following: 32 cases involving Cervical Spondylosis; 63 cases involving Cervical Disc Herniation; 5 OPLL and CDH. Mean age: 49, 95 (29-76). Men: 69. Women: 31. 85 surgical interventions for 81 patients using Anterior Decompression and Fusion for one to three stages (4 reoperated cases: 2 epidural hematomas and 2 graf dislocations). 19 cases operated by posterior Approaches: two laminectomy, 17 using the KUROKAWA technique with four technical failure (turned to ITOH in two cases and lamiectomy in two cases). Grafting technique used: argenson 1, Bailey-Badgley 5, Bohlman 11, Bohlman and Kokubun 1, Kokubun 45, Kokubun for 2 different stages 1, Smith-Robinson and Kokubun for two different stages 1. Good fusion was obtained in all of the cases using the Anterior Decompression and Grafting. The recovery rate for whole group was 71% following the Scale of JOA. 71/87 cases accompanied by the neurological deficits recovered from motor weakness. Among them, there were 60,56% complete recovery, 39.44% partial recovery. 52/81 cases with anterior decompression and arthrodesis were followed between 3 to 39 months. 35 of them have been reviewed further 12 months. 11 of 19 cases operated by laminaplasty have been reviewed from 9 to 29 months. 9 of them with follow-up more than 12 months. Surgical treatment is really an effective method for Cervical Spinal stenosis. The skillfull surgical decompression techniques should be practiced.

4.Microbial in the chronic maxillary sinusitis
Journal of Practical Medicine 1998;348(5):40-41
A study on the bacterials in the chronic maxillary sinusitis among patients more than 15 years has shown that patients with ages of 15-35 accounted for 78.48%. The antibiogram for microbial isolated from sinus found that sensitivity of microbial to Ciprofloxacin, gentamicin, Cephalexin, erythromycine, chloramphenicols, ampicilline, penicillin, Augmentine, Thiophenicole was 100%, 76%, 63.5%, 15.62%, 17.75%, 8.37%, 6.25%, 5.25% and 2.12%, respectively.

5.A propos 1 case of sudden loss of hearing due to meningioma known as acoustic neuroma (tumor of VIII nerve)
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):31-33
Cerebellopontine angle meningioma originates usually from cerebellar tentorium and petrous bone, sometimes expands to the internal auditory canal. In this case, the meningioma extended to the auditory canal and pressed the VIII nerve causing hearing loss suddenly as an acoustic neuroma. Contrast CT-scanning revealed a neuroma with a normal auditory canal. The removed tumor was identified microscopically as a meningioma

6.Situation of haemorrhagic dengue fever (DHF) at Khanh Hoa province
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2002;12(1):23-27
The number of haemorrhagic dengue fever hospitalized at Khanh Hoa province was high during 1989-1998. The recorded peak of outbreak in 1992, 1995 and 1998 were 2212, 5358 and 7454 cases, respectively. The number of patients was high from May to November. 67,1% were the children under 15 years old. The patients at Nha Trang consisted highly 76,1%, followed by Cam Ranh 11,1%, Dien Khanh 95%. The vector controlling indexes were high during 1995-1997, the intervention was decreased, but it quickly returned to the beginning.

7.Histopathological lesions in chronic maxillary sinusitis
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):39-42
94 patients who were 15 years or more were involved in study. These patients were underwent histological examinations. Histopathological revealed variable and complex lesions, with multiple lesions in the same sinus such as mucous degeneration, hyperplasia, dysplasia, atrophy, papiloma, fungus. Lesions in buffer tissues include significant edema, bleeding, congestion, gland proliferation and structural abnormalities.

8.Some opinions of diagnosis of acoustic neurinomas by CT scanner and magnetic resonance image.
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):44-46
Exact diagnosis of the acoustic neurinomas depends on CT Scanner and Magnetic Resonance Imaging 41 of these 47 cases were done CT Scanner and MRI with 12 cases revealed the wonderful positive results in diagnosis. So it is very easy in order to choose the procedure in the treatment via CT Scanner and MRI.

9.47 cases of microsurgery operating for the tumor of VIII nerve (acoustic neuroma).
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):25-29
47 studied cases aged from 18 to 75 years with a prevailing of women against men were diagnosed by CT-scanning and by MRI. The function of VIII nerve was assessed by clinical examination and by audiogramme. Tumors of VIII nerve occupied 8-10% of the total of intracerebral tumors and 70-80% of all cerebellous angle tumors. Microsurgery manifested good results for facial nerve function on 100% of small tumors, 40% of medium and 22.22% of large tumors. Functional hearing results were also evaluated with respect of the sizes of tumors. Complications of the surgery consisted mainly of cerebrospinal fluid leakage (2.12% of all patients). There were 8 cases of meningitis postoperatively, their 1 died. Complete resection of the tumor was accomplished on 63.8% of patients (consisting of 100% of small, 70% of medium and 61.1% of large tumors).

Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1999;232(1):13-20
A study on 1,741 patients with diarrhea admitted to Khanh Hoa hospital in 1998 was carried out to evaluate the clinical, epidemiological, microbial features and the antibiotic response. The results have shown that the highest rate of antibiotic resistance ocurred in cephalosporines and quinolons
