1.Study on the changes of biochemical index in rabbit blood before and after receiving "Thap toan dai bo" tablet
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;490(10):20-22
Two spectices of health Rabbit weighing 1,8-2,5 kg were descriptive in comparing before and after studying. Oral administration with "thap toan dai bo" pills- a traditional medicine, in experimental showed that the pill haft an effect to vary some biochemical indices of rabbit. However these variation did not influence on the normal metabolism of the animal as well as on the biochemical function, for instance in glucose with the comparative coefficients of P>0,05, proted P>0,05 and some other indices of chlolesterol, triglycerid… with P>0,05. These comparative coefficient had not statistical significance.

2.The real state of knowledge and practice on reproductive health care in married women aged 15 to 49 years
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;481(6):28-31
In October 2002, a study was carried out in 2 communes Dan Tien and Cuc Duong, Vo Nhai district, Thai Nguyen province, concerning the knowledge and practice of reproductive health care in married womens, aged 15-49 years old. Almost pregnant women were aware that it takes 3 times to frequent the maternal clinics, to give breast feeding early immediately after child birth, and the breast feeding prolonged enough. However, in practice, only 75.6% and 78.1% in 2 above mentioned communes respectively. 4.Continue to study on influences of Morinda citrifolia L. Rubiaceae fruits on experimental animals immuno-suppressed by radiation
Pharmaceutical Journal 2005;347(3):16-19
Study on the extract of Morinda citrifolia (MC) fruit with the ratio of 5:1 (1g extract was prepared from 5g of dried MC fruit) in order to determine the effects of extract on radiation-induced immunosuppressive mice. The results showed that: oral administration of this extract with daily dose of 6 g/kg in 9 consecutive days (3 days before and 6 days during receiving gamma ray) has increased the relative weight of spleen and thymus, total leukocyte count, number of lymphocytes, natural killers and monocytes, rate of immune rosette forming cells, hemolytic halo, and the skin test with OA antigen, compared with the mice group that has been only received gamma ray without drug

5.Eye dry syndrome and ocular surface
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2002;269(2):55-58
The eye dry syndrome is increasingly and a difficult problem in the ophthalmology. There were about 15% of people over 60 years experienced the eye dry of which 10% must be treated. This disease usually considered because initial mild symptoms. However, these symptoms can lead eye burn that can not be treated. The superficial corneitis with severe pain and vision loss occurred subsequently. The corneal and conjunctival surface usually protected from chemical component, mechanical agent, microbial and virus and film of aqueous humor as a first barrier.

6.Results of operation of modified Sapejko in the treatment of patients with cicatricial entropion of eyelid
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2002;269(2):15-19
Doctors operated 29 patients (35 eyes) with cicatricial entropion of eyelid, among them there are 15 eyes (42.85%) with complication of burn; 14 eyes (40%) with complication of Stevens-Johnson syndrome and 6 eyes (17.15%) with recurrent entropion. The follow-up ranged from 1-6 months. Results: of the 35 eyes operated, 27 eyes (77.14%) were successfully treated (the eyelid was corrected); only 1 eye (5.72%) needed a repeat operation. This study indicated that mucous membrane graft is an effective treatment for patient with cicatricial entropion of eyelid. But, these are the first results. Further studies are necessary to confirm the long time effectiveness of method.

7.Some chemicals in the water and their relationship to goiter in a mountain commune
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;435(11):32-35
The study was conducted on 593 children, 325 salt samples, 60 urinary samples and 30 fresh water samples, using the descriptive epidemiological method. Ca, Na, K, Cl, Cyanide, Fl, Cu, Pb and Iode contents were quantified. The data was processed by statistic method. The results showed that Ca and Fl contents were within acceptable limit. Iode was provided sufficiently. The content of cyanide, an anti-thyroid agent, was higher than acceptable limit

8.The primary evaluation of current water environment and the rate of goiter at Trµng X¸ commune, Vâ nhai district, Th¸i nguyªn Provice
Journal of Practical Medicine 1998;345(2):23-24
An investigation were carried out in 642 families and 51 water samples. The results: number of used mine-water families occupied high rate 77,24%. The CN content in drinking water source is 7,14+/- 1,9, 10 times higher than this the limited standard, the rate of goiter : 53,91%, the rate of goiter: among the used mine- water family is higher 2,28 times than this of the families does not use mine- water.

9.Treatment of the primary pterygium by pterygium excision with intraoperative application of mitomycin C within 3 minutes
Journal of Medical Research 2001;263(9):28-33
The authors evaluated the efficacy of intraoperative application of mitomycin C 0.4 mg/1 ml x 3 minutes in primary pterygium excision and compared this method with other’s. 166 patients (170 eyes) with primary pterygium were asigned randomly to 3 groups: group 1 received pterygium excision with intraoperative application of 0.4 mg/1 ml mitomycin C for 3 minutes (58 eyes: 14 eyes with pterygium. II degree, 44 with pterygium III-IV degree); group 2 received conjunctival autograf (56 eyes; 12 with pterygium II degree, 44 with pterrygium III-IV degree). Patients were followed 1,3,6 and >12 months after operation. Results: after a folow-up time there were not recurrences in patients of group 1 and 2; recurrences developed only in 15 (26.77%) of 56 eyes in group 3. There were not complications in and after operation. Conclusion: this study indicates that intraoperative application of mitomycin C in primary pterygium excision is an effective treatment for prevention of recurrence of pterygium.

10.The nasolacrimal duct obstruction operated by DCR with intraoperative mitomycin C
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 1998;225(9, 10):55-60
In this prospective randomized controlled study, a total of 70 patients (76 eyes) diagnosed with acquired nasolacrimal duct obstruction operated by DCR with intraoperative mitomycin C 0.4mg/ml appication to the osteotomy site for 3 minutes. The results of the DRC surgeries were evaluated by objective findings such as irrigation, height of tear meniscuc, ostium size and subjective symptoms. Among the 76 eyes, 96% of patiets remained total symptoms free after 6 months of follow up. Mean ostium size 2.861 (0,785mm. There were no complications such as abnormal nasal bleeding, mucosal necrosis or infection
