2.Mucosal melanoma of the male urethra
Kathleen Adryon Tan ; Maria Sarah Lenon
Philippine Journal of Pathology 2023;8(2):43-47
This is a rare case of a mucosal melanoma, located in the urethra of a 59-year-old male. Malignant melanomas of the genitourinary tract are rare, representing <1% of malignancies in the genitourinary tract, and <0.1% of all melanomas. In the male genitourinary tract, the most affected sites are the glans penis and the distal urethra in the fossa navicularis. Urethral melanomas comprise 4% of all urethral cancers.

Congenital prepubic sinus(CPS) is an extremely rare congenital anomaly of the external genitalia of uncertain etiology. Herein, a case of CPS, where immunohistochemical staining was performed to elucidate the etiology of the sinus, is reported. The results of the immunohistochemical study demonstrated the lining epithelium was transitional proximally and squamous distally. These findings suggest that CPS is a variant form of dorsal urethral duplication.

9.A Case of Primary Prostatic Urethral Tumor in Male.
Jong Kook LEE ; Hei Young SHIM ; Young Key CHO
Korean Journal of Urology 1989;30(6):954-956
Primary malignancies of the urethra are uncommon and prognosis is poor except in patients with disease that is limited to the anterior urethra. Urethral tumors in the male patient comprise less then one percent of all urologic malignancies. We experienced a case of malignant urethral tumor(transitional cell carcinoma). Herein we report this case with brief review of the literatures.
