Deepening the ideological and political construction of curriculum and carrying out the fundamental task of cultivating people with morality are the important requirements of education reform and talent cultivation in the new era. Microbiology Experiment is an important basic course and core practice course of Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Food Science and Engineering, et al. In order to give full play to the education function of Microbiology Experiment, this article deeply developed the ideological elements contained in the curriculum referring to the guidelines for the construction of ideological and political courses in institutions of higher education. And the article explored the ideological and political reform of Microbiology Experiment from three aspects: teaching content reform, teaching method innovation and improvement of teachers' ideological and political construction ability. Strive to integrate the value shaping, knowledge transference and ability training, cultivate high-quality professionals with firm ideals and beliefs.

4.Relationship Between Coping Strategies And Thinking Styles Among University Students
ASEAN Journal of Psychiatry 2014;15(1):14-22
This study aims at exploring the correlation between coping strategies and thinking styles. Methods: The study sample consisted of 62 students (30 females and 32 males) from the Medical Science College in Hodeidah University,
Yemen. They responded to the Scale of Coping styles and Inventory of Thinking styles quetionnaire. Results: Active coping strategy was affected significantly by legislative, local and hierarchical thinking styles, while avoidance strategy was affected significantly by oligarchic thinking styles, behavioral conducts by judicial, global and anarchic thinking styles. Significant gender differences were found in behavioral conducts (from coping strategies), anarchic and internal thinking styles with advantage with females. Conclusion: Coping strategies are
not independent of thinking styles. These results offer justification and support for future research in larger samples. Potential implications of the impact of
thinking styles on coping strategies are also considered.

International Journal of Public Health Research 2013;3(2):370-375
Osteoporosis-related fractures have been recognized as a major health problem, particularly in the elderly with a high morbidity and mortality rate. The aims of the study were to identify knowledge and perception toward calcium intake among students at UiTM and to explore the differences between genders in dietary calcium intake. A cross sectional study was conducted through 336 students aged 18 to 34 years old. The participants were randomly chosen from the student’s enrolment list. A modified questionnaire was used to obtain the knowledge and perception of the participants. More than half of the participants have low knowledge regarding dietary calcium intake (58.6%), positive view towards the benefits of calcium intake and low perception towards the barrier of calcium intake. Chi square analysis showed a significant difference between male and female for knowledge (p=0.034) and barrier (p=0.002) for calcium intake. Intervention programs should be adopted to increase the knowledge among young adults to improve their health and prevent risk factors. So, health education specifically on calcium intake will be very useful to improve the knowledge and behavior of students.

Acta Medica Philippina 2010;44(3 Supplement):35-38
Barangay Tinajero is one of the most depressed barangays (barrios) among the 21 barangays of Bacolor, Pampanga. Two UPCM (University of the Philippines, College of Medicine) Class 2012 Regionalization Program (RP) students conducted their three consecutive summer immersions (2008-2010) in Barangay Tinajero, Bacolor, the student's activities and their reflection on their experiences in the barangay.

Institutions of higher learning undertake the important responsibility of personnel training. Teaching and scientific research are two indispensable functions of colleges and universities, and the relationship between them is unbalanced and low integration in the current education and teaching. According to the existing problems in the experimental course of human anatomy and animal physiology, we explored how to apply the ideological and political education of scientific research to improve students' cognitive ability, develop experimental projects combined with scientific research practice, and strengthen the combination of classroom teaching and scientific research practice, aiming to establish the basic concept of the integration of science and education. These are favorable for the realization of the training goal of high-quality innovative talents.

Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion 2022;42(12):1357-1362
OBJECTIVE:
To compare the clinical efficacy between governor vessel moxibustion combined with warming acupuncture based on the supporting-yang theory and simple warming acupuncture for knee osteoarthritis (KOA) with yang deficiency and cold congelation.
METHODS:
A total of 64 patients with KOA of yang deficiency and cold congelation were randomized into a combination group (32 cases, 2 cases dropped off) and a warming acupuncture group (32 cases, 1 case dropped off). In the warming acupuncture group, warming acupuncture was applied at Zusanli (ST 36), Guanyuan (CV 4) and Dubi (ST 35), Neixiyan (EX-LE 4), etc. on the affected side, once a day. On the basis of the treatment in the warming acupuncture group, governor vessel moxibustion was applied in the combination group, once a week. The 14-day treatment was taken as one course, and totally 2 courses with 2-day interval were required in the two groups. The clinical symptom score, the visual analogue scale (VAS) score and the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities arthritis index (WOMAC) score were observed before treatment, after treatment and in the follow-up of 12 weeks after treatment; the volume of suprapatellar bursa effusion was detected before and after treatment; the clinical efficacy was evaluated after treatment and in the follow-up in the two groups.
RESULTS:
After treatment and in the follow-up, the scores of clinical symptom, VAS and WOMAC were decreased compared before treatment in both groups (P<0.05), and those in the combination group were lower than the warming acupuncture group (P<0.05). After treatment, the volume of suprapatellar bursa effusion was decreased compared before treatment in both groups (P<0.05). After treatment and in the follow-up, the total effective rates were 93.3% (28/30) and 86.7% (26/30) in the combination group, which were superior to 87.1% (27/31) and 74.2% (23/31) in the warming acupuncture group respectively (P<0.05).
CONCLUSION
Governor vessel moxibustion combined with warming acupuncture can improve the clinical symptoms i.e. pain and dysfunction and reduce the volume of suprapatellar bursa effusion in KOA patients with yang deficiency and cold congelation, its short-term effect and long-term effect are both superior to simple warming acupuncture.

Microbiology is a key basic professional course for all the students specializing in biology, biotechnology and related majors. To date, microbiology is mainly taught in Chinese within colleges and universities in China. Development of a microbiology course that is taught in English may satisfy the diversified learning needs of the students and promote the "Double First-Class" initiative. We started to teach the microbiology course in English at the East China University of Science and Technology since 2016. This practice was associated with reform and innovation in the teaching methods and contents. The microbiology course taught in English greatly attracted the interest of the attending students and helped improve their professional English learning as well as scientific research. This course provided important support for fostering innovative professional first-class undergraduates under the context of the "Double First-Class" initiative.
