A study on 5 cases of severe complication of gastroduodenal ulceration after urological operation and restrospective study on the medical records in Viet Duc hospital have shown that the treatment of gastroduodenal ulceration involved ages, time of hospitalization, pathoanatomical lesions. The severe complication of gastroduodenal ulceration indicated by emergency operation for cutting 2/3 stomach with safe results.

With regard to biopathology, diabetes- induced foot ulcers caused by nerve pathology and artery and vessel lesions. The foot’s lesions was often easy to treat because they were small and secondly surinfection. The nerve pathology caused deformation and sensation disorders. The ulcer’s position arranged in gradual decreased order: fingers, skin area opposite the tip of foot bone, middle area of foot and heel. S.aureus and Streptococcus sp. were the two most common bacteria in surface infections. Inversely, in deep infections, bacteria often changed and combined strains. Local care had an important role in the treatment.

Studies have shown that autoimmune disease (AID)-related ulcers are disease complications that lead to serious poor prognosis such as infection and disability. It is difficult to make a clear diagnosis and there are contradictions between the applications of immunosuppressive therapy and anti-infectious therapy. Improper diagnosis and immunosuppressive therapy can easily delay the timing of anti-infectious therapy and surgery for patients, which bring adverse effects on the prognosis of patients. This paper reviews the concept, clinical characteristics and treatment suggestions of each subtype of AID-related ulcers, in order to provide more ideas for AID-related ulcers' clinical diagnosis and treatment.

One hundred and fourteen patients(72 males and 42 females) who received a conjunctival flap for uncontrollable corneal ulcers with medical therapy between June 1983 and October 1994 were studied retrospectively. The range of the patients' ages were 7 to 81 years in which 60s' were popular and the patients were followed up for 15.2 months in average. Major underlying conditions of the patients were microbial infection(40%, 46 eyes) and trauma (25%, 29 eyes). The pathogenic organisms were identified by culture in 35 cases. Gram positive organisms of which staphylococcus species were the commonest were found in 23 cases, while Gram negative organisms of which pseudomonas species were the commonest were found in 11 cases. The location of the corneal ulceration was central(48.2%, 55 cases), paracentral(25.4%, 29 cases), total(19.3%, 22 cases) and marginal(7.0%, 8 cases) in order. The methods of operations were consisted of bipedicle bridge flap(82 cases), total conjuncti val flap(20 cases) and partial conjunctival flap(12 cases) in which 108 cases could be followed up and 96 cases(89%) were healed completely with one operation. As a postoperative complication retraction and displacement (12 cases), melting(10 cases), corneal perforation under the flap(5 cases) and corneal staphyloma (3 cases) etc. were found. Conclusively, the conjunctival flap can be a choice of the procedure for improving corneal wound healing for persistent corneal ulceration recalcitrant to medical therapy.

The pathological changes of the gastric rumen produced by rocking stress in 38 young male albino rats fed on low protein diet for a short period and in 20 young male albino rats fed on low protein diet only as the control rats, were investigated macroscopically and histologically. The ulcerative lesions of the gastric rumen were observed in 17 out of 38 experimental rats accompanied with hyperplasia and cornification of the ruminal epithelial layer and more or less edematous changes of the tunica propria near the ulcer site. The authors, finding of the ruminal ulcer in albino rats produced by rocking stress associated with feeding on a low protein diet for a short period were compared with the results of others. The authors discussed other opinions concerning of the gastric ruminal ulcer of the albino rats produced in various ways.

A 11-year-old child diagnosed as chronic tonsillitis and adenoid hypertrophy underwent adeno-tonsillectomy under general anesthesia. After surgery, patient complained with abdominal discomfort, paleness and vomiting, which presented as the old black contents. Complete blood count showed: 45.2 g/L, hemoglobin of red blood cells 2.57 x 10(12)/L, An emergency gastroscopy confirmed gastric ulcer with hemorrage. Hemorrage was controlled and complete blood count results restored to normal after supportive therapy. Gastric ulcer completely recovered two weeks after discharge.

Study conducted on 56 patients with gastrointestinal bleeding because of gastroduodenal ulcer with H. pylori (+) and 27 with H. pylori (-), treated at the Hospital 19/8 in ther period of 1995-2000. These 2 groups were similar at age, gender, duration of the disease and at the first time of bleeding. Results showed that in H. pylori (+) group, there are the symptoms of cardiovascular colapsus and of bleeding, recurred after 3 years of follow-up.
