Serum and fluid specimens that were collected from 228 tuberculosis patients at the Hospital of Tuberculosis and Pulmonary Diseases and B¹ch Mai Hospital and from 100 patients with diseases other than tuberculosis and 600 serum specimens that were collected from healthy subjects were tested by ELISA. The results showed that ELISA with ultra-pulverized M. tuberculosis antigen for specific IgG is a simple and cost-effective technique and can be performed in standard laboratories. It can be used to assess the tuberculosis infection in general population, determine high-risk groups, therefore, it is possible to manage and control the infection
