1.Identification of Seoul virus in R.novergicus in Hai phong port
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2008;97(5):61-64
Background: Hantavirus causes two distinct human diseases: Hemorrhagic Fever with Renal Syndrome (HFRS) and Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (HPS). Hantaviruses are maintained in the rodent reservoir and are transmitted to humans via contaminated excreta or bites. Objectives: This study aims to identificate of Seoul virus in R.novergicus in Hai phong port. Material and method: In this study, we trapped 25 of R. novergicus. Results:The results show four R. novergicus are positive for Seoul virus. Partial M segment sequence was recovered from the lung tissue of R. novergicus trapped in Hai Phong port in 2006. M segment of the Seoul virus of Hai Phong sequenced shown is similar to M segment of the Seoul virus of Hanoi. Conclusion:We discovered the Seoul virus in R.novergicus in Hai Phong port in 2006. The sequence belongs to the Seoul virus genotype and is most closely related to the strain B-1 from Japan and the strain AJ620583 from Indonesia.\r\n', u'\r\n', u'

2.Surveillance of Hantaan virus serology in Rattus Novergicus rodent in Thanh Hoa province, 2003
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;471(1):55-56
Hantaan virus is the pathogene of 2 forms of high mortality of hemorrhagic fever with kidney syndrome and lung syndrome. By using the 4 techniques of enzyme addhesion ELISA, immue fluorescemce, and western blot, 61 samply of serum of Rattus Novergicus, in Thanh Hoa, year 2003, ELISA rat serum was (+) and 9/61 were suspected. More over, by immunofluoresceime and western blot, antihantavirus antibody was confirmed on 6/9 samples. These 6 sample from the rats, were studied by WB technique with specific serum SEO, in 2 samples, 51 KDa band was found. Results concluded that in Rattus Novergicus from Thanh Hoa, anti Hantaan virus antibody was detected.

3.Serological investigation on hantavirus in rodent of Hanam province in 2002
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2003;13(2):38-41
42 samples of serum of Rattus novergicus in Ha Nam province were tested for Hantaan virus by ELISA and IFA methods. Results: 4/42 samples (9.25%) had anti-bodies against Hantaan virus. With IFA method, 2/4 samples were confirmed again. It is necessary to supervise serum of people in community and unknown fever

4.Detection of a hantavirus infected patient in Hai Duong province, in 2004
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2004;14(6):26-29
A study was conducted on 18 patients with Dengue hemorrhagic fever like symptoms in July 2004 at Hai Duong province. All 18 serum samples of these patients were negative to Dengue serology tests. ELISA tests had been used after that and shown the presence of antibodies (IgG) against Hantaviruses in one of 18 patients. Moreover, anti-hantavirus antibodies un this patient was also detected by using immunochromatographic test of Standard Diagnostics Korean company

5.Preliminary study on serology of hantaviruses in rats at Lao Cai and Hoa Binh
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;445(3):17-19
By ELISA assay, 26 sample of rats (Lao Cai: 14 samples, Hoa Binh: 12 samples) were studies in the year 2002. Serum-positive results in suspective rats of Lao Cai accounted for 28.57%, Hoa Binh 25%. The rate of antihantanvirus antibody was 26.92% in both provinces, Positive serum sample in ELISA technique were verified with mediate immunofluorescein technique giving 14.2% positive in Lao Cai samples. The results were consistent with the epidemiological characteristics of Hantan fever, an endemic of mountain regions
