An cross-sectional epidemiologic study on 216 cadres of Hoan Kiem Industry and Commercial Bank in Hanoi showed that: the average BMI was 16.7 ± 8.7, mild malnutrition 6.9%; overweight at 1st level 10.2%; health at IV level 0.9%. Internal diseases included rheumatism (8.3%), gastro-duodenal ulcer (4.2%), cardiovascular diseases (4.2%); urinary inflammation (2.8%) and bronchial asthma (1.9%). Eye diseases included conjunctivitis 32.4%; cornea calcification 7.4%; amblyopia 1.9% and rentina degradation 1.9%. In Vietnam, the renal transplantation by kidney from live relative increased the addictive survival rate after 1 year of transplantation was 88,6% of transplanted cases. The rate of the renal with good function was 85,7%. Up to August 2001, many patients after 9 years of transplantation had a good health and have been continuing to work.

During 1992-2002, 63 cases of renal transplantation implemented in Vietnam. The donors were live relatives. The results have shown that the regulation of histocompatibility in the selection of renal donor and receiver was closely implemented. The acute rejection related with the histocompatibility of pairs of donor - receiver and use of immunosuppressive agents before, during and after transplantation.

Bao tho tea prepared from black tea, stevia rebaudiana Bertonia and phylamin (a herbal preparation). A study on the bioactivity of Bao tho has shown that Bao tho tea had no acute or chronic toxicity, had a sedative effect and recovering the health. The preparation reduced the blood cholesterol concentration from 155 to 131mg%. Its coefficient of alpha radioactive protection was 0.33. The Bao tho tea supported the health of old soldiers in the nursing friendship village.
