1.Endoscopic surgery in treating inguinal hernia
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;0(6):51-53
Endoscopic surgery in treatment of inguinal hernia was first used in 1884 and published as perfect technique in 1887. Nowadays, this technique has been applied widely in developed countries, especially in Euro and United State. There are three common graft techniques through endoscopy: Graft in peritoneal, graft through abdominal in front of peritoneal, graft outside peritoneal. Inguinal hernia can be treated by both standard open surgery technique and modern endoscopic surgery. Endoscopic surgery in treatment of inguinal hernia is safe and effective for about 95 patients with inguinal hernia. This technique has been applied in Vietnam in recent years, but it has not been published widely.

2.Evaluation the initial results in treatment inguinal hernia by laparoscopic extraperitoneal method
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;515(7):68-71
This study consisted of 35 patients who had 41 times of inguinal hernia (IH) operated at the Hospital of Pharmacy – Medical College, Ho Chi Minh City from May 2000 to November 2004. All patients were male, aged from 28 to 80. The site and classification of IH were investigated by Nyhus 1991 as followed type II: 3 patients; type IIIa: 11 patients; type IIIb: 19 patients; type IV: 2 patients. 2 patients had old operative scar followed by recurrent IH. 6 patients were used method of spinal anesthesia, the rest of 82.8% patients were used endotracheal anesthesia. The operation time of IH one site and two sites was not significant different. The duration of motor recovery was from 1 to 2 days. The duration of hospitalization was from 1 to 5 days.

3.Study on some clinical characteristics and surgical treatment in acute necrotic pancreatitis
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;512(5):34-37
Study on 70 acute pancreatitis patients (40 males, 30 females, aged 19 - 76) operated in Viet Duc Hospital from January 1999 to May 2002. Exclusive criteria: edema acute pancreatitis, necrotic pancreatitis without operation, necrotic pancreatitis was operated in basic settings. The results: the most of necrotic pancreatitis had no clear causes (74.28%). Mechanic causes included gallstone, worm (17.15%), acute pancreatitis after gall-pancreas area operation (1.43%). The disease was common in adults, mainly in 41-60 years old. In necrotic pancreatitis, pancreas could be necrotic very fast during the first 24 hours with shock, multi-organs failure, tympanites, vomit, peritoneum reaction and induction signs. The common symptoms were : increased blood amylase and urine amylase, leukocyte, blood urea, blood glucose; decreased blood calcium. CT scanner with a high accuracy rate (100%), was a gold criterion in diagnosis of necrotic pancreatitis. In operation, should minimized intervention. It is necessary to perform jejunotomy to decrease the expense due to intravenous feeding regularly.

Background: Coordinating between soldiers and people bring significant results in protecting healthy for soldiers and people in malaria epidemic area.\r\n', u'Objectives: To evaluate epidemic supervision and propose solutions protecting healthy for soldiers and people in malaria epidemic area.\r\n', u'Subjects and methods: A retrospective cross sectional study was carried out on two provinces Binh Phuoc and Dak Lak\r\n', u'Results: there was 4 main disease types were fever, tuberculosis, diarrhea and malaria. Malaria at investigated times still accounted high rate comparing with general fever rate. Malaria risk contained in people living or working in forest and mountain field; free emigrants; armed forces and border guard. These subjects needed to improve regularly protection from malaria. Communication of health education is one of important method to prevent and control malaria.\r\n', u'Conclusion: It is necessary to implement strong methods (such as providing insecticide treated bed nets, indoor residual spray) to prevent and control malaria. \r\n', u'

Objective: To investigate the antitumor effect of maesopsin 4-O-β-glucoside (TAT2) isolated from the leaves of Artocarpus tonkinensis (A. tonkinensis) A. Chev. ex Gagnep. Methods: The antitumor activity of TAT2 was evaluated in Lewis lung carcinoma (LLC) tumor-bearing mice. BALB/c mice had tumors induced by implantation with 2 × 10
