A study on the lymphocytic protective effect of HHKV was carried out on 20 samples of lymphocyte precipitated from peripheral blood of elderly. The lymphocytes suffered the oxidant lesion and exposure with HHKV. The results have shown that the HHKV recovered the function of lymphocytes with the oxidant lesion to normal level. These results indicated that the HHKV helped the elderly to limit the oxidant lesions for cells, which are responsible for immunoresponse and improve the ability of response to unspecific immune.

Materials and methods: The flowers of Lonicera dasystyla were collected at the suburbs of Ha Noi city. The total flavonoid extract of the flowers was chromatographed to obtain the fraction F1KN, which was submitted to the examination for the stimulatory effect on the blast transformation of human lymphocytes. Results: At the dose of 30 mcg/ml in PBS, F1KN was proved to have a good effect. After 72h in vitro culture, the 30 mcg/ml dose increased the potential transformation of human lymphocytes by about 7 times compared with the control samples (1600 versus 230 pulses/min, respectively), while in the same condition, phytohemagglutinin (PHA) at the dose of 10 mcg/ml, increased the redioactivity by about 13000 pulses/min.
Materials and methods

The detection of structural ARN in ribosom-16sr RNA existing in living M.leprae has the value of valuating the efficacy of the treatment and make prognosis of the recurrence . NASBA is performed on 91 samples of biopsy of ear tissue of 2 groups of patients immediately after the treatment of the group I and 5 years after the treatment of the group II. In group I, the positive rate of NASBA is 1/29 and in group II is 3/62. All patients with positive NASBA are in the group of numerous bacilli (MB). In finishing the treatment, there is only 1 patient of MB group who has positive NASBA. Among 60 patients who finishes multichimiotherapy, after 5 years there are 3 patients with positive NASBA

33 loprosis patients (12 females, 21 males) aged 12-47, were divided into 2 groups: a group of many bacteria (MB) and other group of few bacteria (FB). Many bacteria were divided into subgroup with reaction (MB+R) and subgroup without reaction (MB-R) to PGL-1 antigene. In first stage of treatment, the reaction of transformation of MB-R raised higher than MB+R, reduced gradually to the 9th month, then raised to 21st month, and reduced again. The few bacteria group had no responding to this antigene. The response is similar with the response to crushed M leprae antigene and ND-BSA

ELISA technique was used to determine the process of production of specific antibody to ND-BSA in vitro. IgM antibody was detected in the culture of leprosis sample culture as well as of persons contacting with the patient and health persons. In each individual there can be IgM reaction, or only IgG and IgG together with IgM reaction to this antigene. 58 leprosis patients, aged 12-47 years old, treating in the South, were detected cellular immunity response to ultracrushed M. leprae and ND-BSA. Patients had positive response with ND-BSA. Cells having transformed responsed with ND-BSA are lymphocyte and in 5/12 patients there is a participation, mainly of subpopulation of T lymphocyte, there are Tgamadenta cells. When Tgamadenta was removed from cellular mixt, the absorption of H3-Thymidin uncreased dramatically in both ND-BSA nad BSA culture

The study on blood samples of 20 cancer patients in Hanoi Cancer Hospital and 10 healthy subjects showed that peripheral blood lymphocytes of cancer patients and healthy subjects contacting with low concentration H2O2 (10-8 mol) were damaged dramatically. At the present of HHKV extract 30 mcg/ml in same condition of oxygenated stress lymphocytes were protected partly. There was a higher statistically significant difference of imfulse number in these samples in comparing with no HHKV samples. Apart from antioxidant effect, HHKV had also a stimulant effect in the transformation of lymphocytes. The responses of lymphocyte samples with PHA in healthy persons were 8894.60701.49 and in cancer patients 1890.86459.30

Background: There are many methods used in epidemiological studies of tuberculosis (TB) bacteria but Spoligotyping method is widely used with high accuracy, simple procedure, and carried out on strains containing a little of IS6110 segment \r\n', u'Objectives: To improve Spoligotyping technique and apply this technique to classify Mycobacterium tuberculosis\r\n', u'Subjects and method: Subjects and methods: The study included 12 medical waste samples collected at Thai Binh Hospital of Tuberculosis and 19 samples obtained from the The Hanoi Institute for Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases. Spoligo model of 31 samples were analyzed based on Spotclust and SpoIDB4 database and divided up into family and subfamily.\r\n', u'Results: Spoligotyping technique has good results with the PCR product amplified 40 cycles and presented the film in 18 hours. Obtained results in 31 medical waste samples belong to 4 families: Beijing, EAI, T1 and H3-LAM9. EAI and Beijing are dominant families with 45.16% and 38.7%), respectively. T1 and H3-LAM9 are 12.9% and 3.22%, respectively.
