1.Evaluation of the value of blood gas in thoraco-abdominal postoperation in newborns admitted to rehabilitation Department of Children N0 II hospital
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;515(7):17-21
A retrospective study of the value of blood gas in prognosis of early respiratory failure postoperation was performed on 50 newborns admitted to Children N0 II hospital, HCM city from 2000 to 2002. Examination of blood gas 24 hours before and after operation in 50 newborns. The results as followed: the lower PaCO2 and CRIB score were the good predictor for non respiratory failure in postoperating patients. This study suggested, tests of blood gas before and after operation should be done routinely to predict early respiratory failure for the newborns in NICU

2.Pulmonary lymphangioleiomyomatosis in Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital: a case report
Ho Chi Minh city Medical Association 2003;8(2):104-106
This rare condition was diagnosed in the stage of a history of resection of left renal tumor of angiomyolipoma and recurrant pneumothrax with PCR of positive tuberculosis bacilla, special chest CT scan with thin wall cyst. These female patients are in reproductive age, using consistantly sex hormone. The prognosis is similar with COPD. Early detection and treatment of the case slowers the progression of disease.

3.Acute toxicity and some pharmacological effects of "c?t khí c?", a traditional pharmaceutical material
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;425(5):35-37
The study was carried out with healthy white mice of the strain of Swiss, weighed 202 g, fed properly in good supply of water and food. Results a pain relief and narcotic effects of the material. An intensive dose 200 times higher than usual clinical dose did not manifest toxicity in the animal

4.The anti- inflammation and pain relief effects of " Cau tich" in experiment
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;425(5):42-44
Cau tich fluid extract was studied on white mice. The dose of 4 g/kg of body weigh exerts against acute inflammation and relief the pain 2 hours, 4 hours, and 6 hours after the onset of inflammation. On the experimental granuloma, Cau tich has a moderate effect on chronical inflammation. In experimental model of “hot plate” Cau tich manifests a pain relief effect centrally and peripherally

5.Remark on epidemiology and clinical complication of wisdom teeth
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2005;0(2):32-35
A prospective study was conducted on 120 patients (65 males and 55 females) with displaced wisdom tooth at the Dentistry and Stomatology Department of Hospital 103 between 9/2003 and 10/2004. Results: There was no difference between male and female. The surgery for extracting displaced wisdom tooth caused complications depending on ages 25-34 (51.16%), 15-24 (37.5%), 35-45 (8,33%). Patients need examination and treatment for pain (55.85%), swelling (11.66%), choking on food (29.16%) and the other causes (33.3%). Two kinds of displaced wisdom tooth that have high rates were: Mesio–angular wisdom tooth: (54.16%), vertical wisdom tooth, jaw-bone clamp (22.5%)

6.Treatment for displaced tooth due to trauma by duracryl and steel thread
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2005;0(3):10-14
The study evaluates 2 methods use duracryl combining with steel-thread and steel thread alone in conservative treatment for 24 teeth displaced by trauma. Following up 1 week, 2 weeks and 1 month showed that duracryl combing with steel thread provided good outcomes in 83.33%; moderate in 16.66%; nobody had bad result. Steel thread alone provided good outcome in 50%; moderate in 25%; and poor in 25%. Using duracrul combining with steel thread is efficient in fixation of teeth displaced by trauma at facilities with simple equipment. These two materials are available at all lower level medical units

7.Study on anatomical basis of skin flaps based on the blood supply of the rectus abdominis muscle
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;530(11):59-62
The investigation was performed in 20 cadavers (dissection in 17 formaldehyde preserved and dye injection in 3 fresh ones). The results of study showed that: average, each rectus abdominal muscle has 4.97 vessel with 0.5-0.6 mm in diameter arising from the anterior gone up through the sheath of abdominal muscle. Among them, 4.56 arising from the deep inferior epigastric artery (DIEA) and they concentrate mainly in the paraumbilical area (87.7%). The cutaneous blood supply (dye coloured area) of the DIEA was 19.5 x 14 cm in the supra and infra umbilical regions. The DIEA and the vein form a suitable pedicle for free tissue transfer. The design of different skin flaps patterns was proposed by results.

8.Application of BT98 drug in treating gingivalis and periodontitis
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;298(5):25-28
112 patients with gingivitis and periodontosis were treated topically with BT 98 for 1 week to 2 months. For gingivitis in 81,94% of cases, there were good results, 12,50% moderate and 5,56% bad. For periodontosis 75% good, 15% moderate and 10% bad. The preparation is of low cost, safe and convenient

9.The structural characteristics of odonto-stomatology diseases of soldiers on some unit of hospital 103
Journal of Vietnamese Medicine 2004;298(5):33-36
From October 2002 to October 2003, in Military Hospital No103 and its sub-units, odonto-stomach morbidities were investigated. In 54,04% of subjects, there were dental caries; 1,52% dental stop lost, epiodontosis reached 95,40%, which progressed with age: in 15,80% of subjects, there were loss of tooth, in 3,26% tooth extract was needed and in 14,51% prothesis needed

10.Investigation of anti acute inflammatory activity of beta-aminoceton which is derivative of anilin.
Pharmaceutical Journal 1999;282(10):18-19
Healthy rats with weight of 120-180 g were randomly divided into 4 groups. They tested the anti-acute inflamatory activity of T1 (3 -methoxy 4 hydroxy-5 bromobenzylidien para bromo anilin) and T2 (3-methoxy 4 hydroxy-5 nitrobenzylidien p-nitro anilin). The results have shown that T1 had a significant antiinflamatory activity after 2 h and 4 h of the test but had no antiflamatory activity after 6 h of the test comparing with the control. While the anti-inflamatory activity of T2 was not different from this in the control. This study concluded that the anti-inflamatory activity of derivatives of 5 bromo vanilin was better than this of derivatives of 5 -nitroanilin.
