1.Synthesis of some derivatives with biological properties of 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl-pirimidine
Pharmaceutical Journal 2003;327(7):15-16
The 2- hydroxy-4,6-dimethyl pyrimidine (8),2-amino-4,6 –dimethyl pyrimidine (10) and sulfamet-hazine(1)were prepared by condensation of urea (4), guanidine (5) or sulfaguanidine (6) with acetylacetone(7) and then the 2-chloro-4,6-dimethyl pyrimidine (9) was obtained by treating the compound (8) with phosphorylchoride (POCl3)

2.Some consideration about clinical symptoms and patho-anatomical features of liver teratoma
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;481(6):41-42
A case of teratoma in a male patient aged 53 years old at the liver left lobe, hospitalized 25 November 2002 at The Hospital 198 was persented. It was a special form of mature teratoma of dermoid cyst. Macroscopically, it was a cyst of large size with thick fibroid shell, containing fat fluid, caseinous matter, hair, cartilaginous bone and even 3 molar teeth. Microscopically, it was a lining of cells of keratinoid epithelial scale tissue in the wall. Under the epithelial cover there was a conjunctive tissue inserted by sebacenous tissues, sweat gland tissues, hair alveoli and vessels with thick fibrous wall.

3.Some remarkable on indication and conservation splencectomy results in closed abdominal injury
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;490(10):59-60
45 patients with spleen trauma were treated in the hospital No 19-8. Among then, 17 underwent a prevervative operation for suturing the spleen according to the state of trauma in site, the surgeon's qualification and the follow- up conditions. The preservative suture must be safe, spleen function must be preserved, any spleen edge could be partialy removed in case of injury. Early result can be altained in 94,11% and early post operative complication in 5,89% of cases.

4.Study on hypertension in leaders in Thai Binh province
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;0(6):87-89
The study was performed on 727 currently working and retied officials in Thai Binh province to evaluate reality of hypertension. Results: the overall percentage of hypertension was 51% and tended to increase gradually by age- groups: < 60 years of age accounted for 8.8%; 60-70 years of age 14.7%; over 70 years of age 27.5%. The rate of hypertension in males was more than females. Hypertension level 1 accounted for 25.45%, level II 15.4% and level III 10.8%. The rate of hypertensive patients with left ventricular hypertrophy was 21%, coronary insufficiency 18.59% and heart rhythm disorder 3.5%. The rate of coronary insufficiency, left ventricular hypertrophy and heart rhythm disorder in hypertension level I group were 10.8%, 4.86%, 1.6%, respectively, lower than hypertension level II group (37.8%, 47.2%, 6.8%, respectively)

5.Clinical characteristics and surgical treatment in 131 patients with thyroid carcinoma
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2004;0(8):29-33
This study was carried out on 131 patients (101 women and 30 men) with surgery for thyroid cancer at University Hospital No 103 from 1995 though March 2002. 49 patients (37.4%) were operated for the thyroid pathology before hospital admission.
Based on clinical examination and laboratory measurements, the authors found that the rate of thyroid cancer was 1-2% of all cancers. The rate of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) was 62.6%, follicular (FTC): 19.8% medullary (MTC): 5.3%, squamous (STC): 2.3%, and nondifferentiated (NDTC) tumors: 9.9%. All surgical procedures were performed according to principal rules of oncologic surgery. 12 sternotomy and 5 tracheotomy during operation were performed. Accidental injuries of the esophagus (2 cases) and the trachea (3 cases) occur during the resection of tumor. After the surgical resection, the chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy have been used in various combinations, one patient died and all survivors have been followed up

6.The cause of acute diarrhea is rotavirus: Fast rota/adeno combistick testing
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;0(12):79-80
Rotavirus is one of the major causes of pediatric gastroenteritis and diarrhea. Based on the Rota/Adeno combistick one-step test for rotavirus and adenovirus in human feces, the authors studied causes of pediatric diarrhea. Some results: the rate of diarrhea induced Rotavirus accounted for 64.4%, mainly in children under 2 year of age. The highest prevalence of the rotavirus diarrhea is experienced in cool months of the year. Clinical symptoms were diarrhea and vomiting. Vomiting presented in 54.9% of cases.

7.Oil Chemical Composition of Tanaka in Viet Nam
Journal of Medicinal Materials - Hanoi 2003;8(4):126-127
Severinia monophylla (L.) Tanaka was widely distributed in many northern provinces of Viet Nam. The plant was a good folk remegy for cold, fever, cough. Materials and methods: Leaves and fruits of S. monophylla were collected in Me Linh district (province of Vinh Phuc), and analysed for essential oil by using gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. Results: The yield of oil from leaves and fruits was 0.2% compared with air-dried materials. The main constituents of the oil included: caryophyllene (17.2%), sesquiphellandrene (15.1%) and alpha-caryophyllene (13.8%).

8.Follow up the changes of hepatitis B viral makers in patients with acute and chronic hepatitis B and liver cirrhosis
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;430(9):19-22
Makers of HBV were investigated in the groups of acute and chronic hepatitis B and liver cirrhosis patients, using radioimmunological assays. 170 patients were followed up and treated in the Clinical Medicine Institute for Tropical Diseases during 1997 and 1998. Changes in HBsAg, anti-HBs, HBeAg, anti-HBe, anti-HBc and IgG markers were followed up.

9.Clinical changes and hepatic functional disorders in patients with acute hepatitis B
Journal of Practical Medicine 2002;430(9):15-19
A study aimed to compare some clinical features and hepatic functional tests in patients with common acute hepatitis B and patients with long-lasting acute hepatitis B from which to find factors that contributing to prognosis of hepatitis B. 101 patients with ages of 16-30 in the Institute of Clinical Medicine and Tropical Diseases during 9/1997 -10/1998 participated to the study have shown that the most of patients had a moderate disease and disease's symptoms were improved within 6 weeks. The disease occurred in men higher than in women. The duration of before jaundice in patients with common acute hepatitis was shorter than this in patients with long-lasting acute hepatitis B. The clinical symptoms in patients with the long-lasting acute hepatitis B were tired, small liver, edema in limbs, ascities and hepatic coma.

10.C-reactive protein (CRP) in rheumatic diseases
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2001;1():25-28
C-reactive protein (CRP) is an acute-phase protein in normal serum which increases significantly with tissue necrosis due to inflammation. To discover the level of protein C-reactive as a screening parameter for inflammatory diseases and rheumatic diseases, the CRP latex quick test was performed in 172 patients who were treated at the Rheumatology Dep. Bach mai Hospital from 2/1998 to 2/1999. The result shown that 100% patients with rheumatic fever had CRP positively, as well as 85,4% patients with rheumatics arthritis, 75% patients with connective disorders, 70% patients with ankylosing spondilitis and 20% patients with osteoarthritis. CRP is a valuable screening test in acute rheumatic arthritis as a routine diagnostic test, especially with the group of patients with rheumatic fever. However, this examination has an adequate sensitivity and specificity as well as erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR).
