The study was carried out on children aged under 15 (male 64.44% and female 35.56%) suffering from endophthalmitis with 45 eyes. Three opening on the eye ball were made through pars plan area for inserting the water nail, the vitrectome and the ocular endoscope with the help of a coaxial surgical microscope and a lense, the target part of vitreous body was precisely located by the ocular endoscope. Pathological tissues of vitreous body was removed and replaced with ringer lactate solution. Antibiotics and Depersolon were injected into the pathologic eye ball to end the operation. 12 months after the surgery, among the operated eyes 12.83% showed clearly visible fondus, 15.38% slightly turbid, 7.69% reached a visual acuity of 0.4-0.7 and 17.95% of 0.1-0.3. Results showed that with the children suffering from endophthalmitis, this surgical treatment is an efficient approach.

Study on 91 patients whose110 eyes with congenital collapsus of eyelip who surgeried by hanging eyelids on forehead muscle. After surgery, number of eyes with vision higher before surgery increase. Result when come out of hospital: 71% good, 25,4% average, 3,64% bad. After 6 months, the rate is: 66% good, 23% average, 11% bad. The surgery apply for collapsus with function of hang eyelid muscle bad or average. The surgery use simple material, easy carry out, low cost, few complication, easy repair, suitable with congenital collapsus in children

Homocysteinuria was manifested by the cardiovascular, ophthalmologic and systemic symptoms in which the luxation and subluxation of lens were reasons for consultation. The biochemical cause was the cystathionin synthetase deficiency leading the metabolic disorder of methionin. The treatment involved the long-term use of high dose of vitamin B6 and reduction of the food that containing much methionin. It should not operate in the anesthetic condition. With a goal to do study on clinical characteristics, experiments and determination of treatment method for Marfan's syndrome, the author has conducted research in 2 group patients (with 84 eyes) of which male patients account for 59.22% and female patients account for 40.78%. From the study results, we see clearly those two groups of symptoms that often had changes in shape and abnormal appearing in eyes (100%). The disorder of cardiovascular system is less seen (14.28%). For treatment, drug therapy was applied in 29.76% cases and surgical intervention: 70.24%. In which the lentectomy: 69.49%, the extraction surgery of dislocated lens. That has very encouraging results, however the further study is needed

The study involved 57 patients (61 eyes), including 32 males and 25 females who underwent intra- or extra-capsular lens removal and who were candidates for artificial lens placement. The result showed that artificial lens can be placed by one of two ways: placed in anterior chamber or trans-scleral suture fixation of artificial lens for eyes where the posterior capsule is absent or ruptured. Postoperative outcomes are encouraging. At 6 months after operation, the vision is less than 0.1 in 24 eyes; between 0.1 to 0.4 in 32 eyes; more than 0.05 in 4 eyes and one eye have unmeasurable vision. At 3 months after operation, intraocular pressure is less than 25 mmHg in 28 eyes and more than 25 mmHg in 3 eyes.

17 cases of luxation and subluxation of the lens due to the acute uveitis received an operation for removal of lens and implantation of the artificial lens in the posterior chamber and fixation of it in the sclera during 1993-1997. The monitoring duration was 3 years. The results of anatomy and tolerance were good. The rate of patients with vision improvement after 3 years of operation was 100% in which 57.14% of patient had vision ability of 0.1-0.6. This depended mainly on the treatment of visual insufficiency after operation.

Senile ptosis is a disease often seen in ophthalmology. If not treated timely, this condition can result in unwanted consequences both cosmetic and functional terms. This paper addressed to clinical features of senile ptosis and the efficiency of surgical correcting procedures. Subjects: Target groups of the study consist of over sixty years old patients suffering senile ptosis who were treated at the National Institute of Ophthalmology between 2002 - 2005. Method: the author had investigated senile ptosis clinical features and its correction surgery with three ways: excision of excessive skin, frontalis suspension operation, aponeurotic resection and resection of Muller's muscles (by Tyers A. G.). Results and conclusion: References drawn from the study on senile ptosis clinical features are as follows: Senile ptosis is often seen in patients aged between 60 and 65, the highest rate of ptosis (56.25%) at the over 70-years-old group, 100% of such patients have excessive skin; These surgeries are highly efficient for correction of senile ptosis. Our series of 55 eyes, 70,59, per cent (36 eyes) achieved a good results, 25.49 per cent (13 eyes) achieved an average results and 3.92 percent (2 eyes) achieved a poor results with an average follow up of 12 months. Though preliminary results are very encouraging, further study is still needed to optimized the treatment.

Our research has been done on 64 eyes from 62 patients whose elevator muscles had average and good function. The results are encourage: 64.58% of the eyes operated using Berke's method have results with average and good quality. The complication of amblyopia in ptosis has reduced meanwhile the patiens' postoperative vision has subtantially increased. Ptosis correcting surgery with resection of the elevator muscles using Berke's R.N. method has proved to be an efficient surgical procedure in treatment of congenital ptosis, we recommend that this procedure be further studied for better application.

At The Central Insititute of Opthtalmology from 10/1998 to 11/2003, Trabeculectomy was conducted on 44 eyes of pediatric geaucoma patients with placing a 5 fluouracyt saturated gelaspon (50mg/ml 5 F.U on 2 x 2mm gelaspon flap) under the diseased eye in 5 minutes, then 5- FU was washed away with Ruiger lactat solution. The surgery was efficacious for treating glaucome in young person and children.
