During 1992-1997 year period, 41 eyes with the loss of posterior capsula were submitted to a surgery of insertion of artificial vestibular vitreous lens of S. flex from Alcon firm. Results affirmed its proper application in all cases. The possible complications were noted lately in some cases such as oedema, dystrophy of the cornea and a raise of ocular tension. The study was conducted on 20 patients with bilateral lens luxation (40 eyes) and 30 patients with lateral lens luxation (30 eyes), total 70 eyes. All patients were under 25 years old. The results showed that using the vitrectomy Erbe device in lens luxation removal is application of advanced achievements in our condition. It allows achieving the best surgical outcome for lens luxation, giving facilities for inserting artificial lens in later and contributing to regaining the vision of patients. This technique can be applied in facilities where the vitrectomy devices are available for all patients with lens luxation who have indication of operation

Senile ptosis is a disease often seen in ophthalmology. If not treated timely, this condition can result in unwanted consequences both cosmetic and functional terms. This paper addressed to clinical features of senile ptosis and the efficiency of surgical correcting procedures. Subjects: Target groups of the study consist of over sixty years old patients suffering senile ptosis who were treated at the National Institute of Ophthalmology between 2002 - 2005. Method: the author had investigated senile ptosis clinical features and its correction surgery with three ways: excision of excessive skin, frontalis suspension operation, aponeurotic resection and resection of Muller's muscles (by Tyers A. G.). Results and conclusion: References drawn from the study on senile ptosis clinical features are as follows: Senile ptosis is often seen in patients aged between 60 and 65, the highest rate of ptosis (56.25%) at the over 70-years-old group, 100% of such patients have excessive skin; These surgeries are highly efficient for correction of senile ptosis. Our series of 55 eyes, 70,59, per cent (36 eyes) achieved a good results, 25.49 per cent (13 eyes) achieved an average results and 3.92 percent (2 eyes) achieved a poor results with an average follow up of 12 months. Though preliminary results are very encouraging, further study is still needed to optimized the treatment.

Our research has been done on 64 eyes from 62 patients whose elevator muscles had average and good function. The results are encourage: 64.58% of the eyes operated using Berke's method have results with average and good quality. The complication of amblyopia in ptosis has reduced meanwhile the patiens' postoperative vision has subtantially increased. Ptosis correcting surgery with resection of the elevator muscles using Berke's R.N. method has proved to be an efficient surgical procedure in treatment of congenital ptosis, we recommend that this procedure be further studied for better application.

At The Central Insititute of Opthtalmology from 10/1998 to 11/2003, Trabeculectomy was conducted on 44 eyes of pediatric geaucoma patients with placing a 5 fluouracyt saturated gelaspon (50mg/ml 5 F.U on 2 x 2mm gelaspon flap) under the diseased eye in 5 minutes, then 5- FU was washed away with Ruiger lactat solution. The surgery was efficacious for treating glaucome in young person and children.
