BACKGROUND:Hip’s anatomy structure is complex, and the traditional two-dimensional imaging, such as X-ray film or CT scan, is susceptible to image overlap and other soft tissue. As a result, there are some limitations in the diagnosis of hip disease. The digital model is built based on reverse engineering and rapid prototyping. It is comprehensive, intuitive and accurate of the stereo configuration of the hip and the spatial relations of other parts’ anatomical structures. This study has a broad application prospect. OBJECTIVE:To reconstruct the personalized three-dimensional entity model of the hip bone with computer aided technology. METHODS: The human hips were scanned with a portable three-dimensional laser scanner, and then the point cloud data of the hips were gotten. The point cloud was processed and the three-dimensional model reconstruction was carried out by using the engineering software Geomagic and the computer aided software CimatronE. Three-dimensional print of hip was completed and the model was gotten, which was consistent with the geometry of hip bone, through the rapid prototyping machine. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:A model with good geometric similarity and biomechanical characteristics was built by digital modeling method based on reverse engineering and rapid prototyping. This way of digital modeling provided the basis for digital manufacturing of artificial hip, virtual assembly, stress analysis and surgical simulation.

Objective To explore the value of elastography score and strain rate ratio in the diagnosis of small breast malignant focus. Methods We retrospectively analyzed 22 patients with breast small malignant foci less than 10 mm. Ultrasound characteristics were summed up in breast small cancer. Results On elastogram, 2 patients scored 3, 14 scored 4 and 6 scored 5.The average strain rate ratio of all foci was 4.76, and there was correlation between it and elastography scores. Conclusion Ultrasonic elastography has important value in the diagnosis of breast small cancer.

Objective:To observe the reliability and validity of using a head-neck relocation test (HRT) in assessing cervical position sense. Methods:A total of 62 subjects were recruited, including 32 with neck pain and 30 healthy subjects. All received two HRTs conducted by two independent assessors at a first session, and then they received another HRT 24 hours later administered by one of them. The joint position error (JPE) was measured in the four directions of cervical motion: flexion, extension, levorotation and dextrorotation. The intra- and inter-rater reliability was quantified in terms of intra-class correlation coefficients (ICCs) and the difference in JPE between the two groups was also determined for validity. Results:The intra- and inter-rater reliability for the HRT in the four directions had ICC values of 0.603-0.830 and 0.597-0.837 respectively. The corresponding standard error of measurement (SEM) values were 1.52-2.15cm and 1.69-2.09cm, while the minimal detectable change (MDC) values were 4.20-5.97cm and 4.69-5.79cm, respectively. The patients with neck pain had significantly larger JPE in cervical extension and right rotation compared to healthy individuals, on average. And their JPE for cervical extension had an area under the curve (AUC) of the receiver′s operating curve of 0.755.Conclusions:The HRT showed good intra- and inter-rater reliability in assessing cervical joint position sense. The JPE for cervical extension can be used to discriminate those with neck pain from healthy subjects.
