1.Application of transanus ilues tube in the case of left-semicolon cancer with intestinal obstruction

Objective To investigate the case of left-semicolon cancer with intestinal obstruction for the methods of one-stage resection and anastomosis.Methods The clinical data of ten patients with left-semicolon can- cer with intestinal obstruction treated by transanus ilues tube,were restrospectively analyzed from October 2004 to December 2006.Results No postoperative anastormotic leakage was found and the patients were clinically cured. Conclusion The technical problem that left-semicolon cancer with obstruction for one-stage resection and anastomo- sis was resolved by the application of transanus ilues tube.
2.Effects of Bingdouting Capsule on Heart Rate and Sinoatrial Node Function in Rabbit Model of Sick Sinus Syndrome

Objective To observe the effect of Bingdouting capsule(BC)on rabbit model of sick sinus syndrome.Methods Rabbit models of sick sinus syndrome were established by external application of 20 % methanal on the region of sinoatrial node.The effect of BC on heart rate and electrophysicological parameters of sinoatrial node was observed.Results BC markedly increased the heart rate,shortened the sinoatrial conduction time(SACT)and corrected sinoatrial node recovery time(CSNRT).Conclusion BC has an obvious effect for the treatment of sick sinus syndrome in rabbits.
3. Effects of inhaling vehicle exhaust on lung microbiome in mice

Objective: To observe the changes of lung tissue and lung microbiome in mice after inhalation of vehicle exhaust, and to assess the impact of air pollution caused by vehicle exhaust on the respiratory system of the population. Methods: Ten C57BL/6 mice were divided into experimental group and control group randomly. Experimental group was inflicted with continuous exposure to automobile exhaust for 5 d (1 h/d), while the control group was exposed to clean air. After a 5-day of environmental exposure, the lung microbial composition was analyzed by 16S rRNA pyrosequencing and the structure of the lung tissue was assessed by histological analysis. Results: There was no significant difference in pathological changes of lung tissue between the experimental group and the control group. However, there were significant differences in the composition and abundance of bacteria in the experimental and control groups. At the phylum level, comparing with the control group the Firmicutes was significantly increased in the experimental group, while the Bacteroidetes and Proteobacteria were significantly reduced. At the genus level, the increase of the Firmicutes was mainly related to the increase of the Coprococcus. The reduction of the Bacteroidetes was related to the reduction of Cytophaga while the reduction of the Proteobacteria was related to three main strains namely Ochrobactrum, Methylobacterium and Acinetobacter. Amycolatopsis was also reduced significantly. Conclusion: Short-term exposure to vehicle exhaust conditions changes the species composition and abundance of lung microbiome in mice, but no lung tissue lesions were observed.
4.Anatomical study of the third palmar interosseous muscle and its dominate nerve

Objective To explore the anatomical characteristic of the third palmar interosseous mus- cle as well its dominate nerve,and to investigate the anatomical basis of difficult recovery of digitus minimus adduction.Methods Twenty aduh fresh hands without deformity and trauma were obtained.Dissect and observe the third palmar interosseous muscle and its dominate nerve and adjacent structure under surgical mi- croseope,measure the size of the third pahnar interosseous muscle and its dominate nerve,the data were pro- cessed by stastistics method.Results Among palmar interosseous muscles and its dominate nerves,the third palmar interosseous muscle and its dominate nerve is the smallest.There are conspicuous tendon bundle on the surface of the third palmar interosseous muscle partly,which have a potential compression on the third palmar interosseous muscle dominting nerve.Conclusion The third palmar interosseous muscle is the smal- lest among palmar interusseous muscles and it is the only digitus minimus adduction muscle.The sominating nerve of the third palmar interosseous muscle is small anti the tendon bundle of the third palmar interosseous muscle have a potential compression.All these can cast light on diffcult recovery of digitus minimus adduction.
5.Application of ring-like double tubes with negative pressure drainage after radical surgery of breast cancer

Objective To investigate the appropriate and pragmatic drainage after the breast cancer by radi- cal surgery.Methods 120 patients treated by the radical surgery from July 2003 to July 2005,were divided into the experimental group(ring-like double tubes with negative pressure drainage) and the control group(armpit single tube drainage with pressure bind).The differences between the two groups were analyzed in the same period,respectively sixty cases.Results The outflow of the first three days after operation in the experimental group was more than that in control group(P0.05).The incidence of sinoma and incision delaying healing in experimental group was lower than that in con- trol group(P

In this article, the implementation of eye movement tracking system includes three procedures: hardware acquisition, data extraction and overall analysis. The system is based on Camshift algorithm with an eye tracking module added, developed on VC++ 6.0. The system can track the eye movement effectively in simulated phosphene evaluation experiment based on prosthetic vision.

7.Expression of TGF-β1 protein in orbital bone after enucleation with placement of an orbital implant

Background Placement of an orbital implant is a main way to prevent orbital atrophy with aging.But its mechanism is under clear.Researchs showed that bone growth factors play important role during the development and repair of bone,especially transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1).Objective Present study was to investigate the expression of TGF-β1 protein in orbital bone after enucleation or enucleation with placement of an orbital implant and its function in the mechanisms of preventing and treating the orbital malformed development after enucleation with placement of an orbital implant.Methods Twenty-one age- and weight-matched New Zealand white young rabbits were randomly divided into the enucleation,implant and control groups,and each group including seven rabbits.Eyeball nucleation surgery was performed in the left eyes of 7 1-month-old rabbits,and a spherical orbital implant was inserted after enucleation of the left in matched rabbits in implant group.The left eye of normal rabbits served as controls.The rabbits were sacrificed in 1 month after surgery.The expression of TGF-β1 protein in the left orbital bone was detected using enzyme immunoassay and FITC labelling immunoassay technique in the sections of zygomatic bones.The content of TGF-β1 protein in the left orbital bone tissue was measured by ELISA method.This use of animals complied with the Regulations for the Administration of Affair Concerning Experimental Animals by State Science and Technology Commission.Results The height and width of orbital in enucleation group were significantly lower than those of implant and normal control groups(height:P=0.00,P=0.00;width:P =0.00,P=0.00).The positive bone cells of both enzyme immunoassay and FITC staining were increased in the implant and control groups in comparison with enucleation group,but the positive response intensity for TGF-β1 was resembled between implant group and control group.ELISA result revealed that the content of TGF-β1 protein in bone tissue was significantly lower in the enucleation group than in implant and control groups(P=0.00,P=0.00).The expression and content of TGF-β1 protein in bone tissue is similar between the implant group and the control group(P=0.41). Conclusion The experiment results indicate that TGF-β1 protein participate in the orbital development.TGF-β1 played important role in the prevention and treatment of enucleation-induced orbital malformation in the eye with placement of an orbital implant.

10.Alcohol-induced proliferation of neurons in mouse hippocampal dentate gyrus: a possible role of ceramide.

To investigate the role and mechanism of ceramide (Cer) regulation in alcohol-induced neuronal proliferation and the newborn neurons formation, we used sphingomyelin synthase 2 (predominant enzyme of Cer metabolism) knockout (SMS2(-/-)) and wild type (WT) female mice to establish the model of prenatal alcohol exposure. In 24 h after being given birth (postnatal day 0, P0), the offspring of model mice received blood sphingomyelin (SM) measurement with enzymatic method. On P0, P7, P14 and P30, the proliferation of granule cells in the dentate gyrus and newborn neurons were investigated with immunofluorescent labeling. The expression of protein kinase Cα (PKCα) in the hippocampus was tested with Western blot analysis. The results showed that the SM level of blood in SMS2(-/-) pups was significantly lower than that in WT pups. No matter in SMS2(-/-) or WT mice, the prenatal alcohol exposure down-regulated the SM levels in pups with dose-dependency. In both SMS2(-/-) and WT pups, the number of proliferative neurons and newborn neurons in the dentate gyrus gradually decreased with the growing age. Compared with the WT pups, SMS2(-/-) pups showed significantly more proliferative neurons and newborn neurons in the dentate gyrus. Notably, prenatal alcohol exposure dose-dependently increased proliferative neurons and newborn neurons in the dentate gyrus in both WT and SMS2(-/-) pups. The hippocampal expression of PKCα protein in SMS2(-/-) mice was lower than that in WT mice, and prenatal alcohol exposure could up-regulate the PKCα protein expression in both WT and SMS2(-/-) mice with dose dependency. These results suggest that alcohol exposure during pregnancy can induce the compensatory neural cell proliferation and the production of newborn neurons in offspring, and the Cer-ceramide-1-phosphate (C1P) pathway is involved in alcohol-induced neural cell proliferation. The activation of PKCα may be a key step to start the Cer-C1P pathway and up-regulate the alcohol-induced neural cell proliferation and the newborn neurons formation.
