1.Advances in the study of aspirin in colorectal cancer prevention and treatment and related mechanisms

Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers in the world with high morbidity and mortal-ity. Clinicians spare no effort to look for effective prevention and treatment strategies for colorectal cancer. Research shows that aspirin plays a unique role in colorectal cancer prevention and treatment. However, the effect is associated with the course of treatment, users’ genetic backgrounds and some other factors. This review aimed to summarize the prevention and treatment effects of aspirin on colorectal cancer, the possible molecular markers for predicting aspirin effcacy and related mechanisms.

Objective To establish the animal model with stress ulcer(SU) and probe the relationship between the gastric mucosal injury and lasting stress time,the dynamic structural changes of pH of gastric juice.Methods Twenty-four SD young rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:control group,45 min(groupⅠ),90 min(groupⅡ),3 h(groupⅢ)groups under water immersion restraint stress(WRS).The change of gastric mucosal ulcer index(UI),pH of gastric juice were observed.Results Acute gastric mucosal damage was induced by WRS,with the WRS time prolonged,UI increased gradually and pH of gastric juice remarkably decreased in experimental rats.UI was positively rela-ted with stress time(r=0.957 P

In 2015, American College of Endocrinology ( ACE), American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists ( AACE ) , European Association for the Study of Diabetes ( EASD ) , Chinese Society of Endocrinology, American Diabetes Association ( ADA ) , American Association of Diabetes Educators ( AADE ) , Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics(AND), etc. published several guidelines and statements on diabetes and its complications. The selection of hypoglycemic drugs, diabetes self-management education and support, the characteristics of blood pressure and blood lipid, the efficacy and adverse reaction of hypoglycemic drugs were also suggested and recommended. These guidelines and statements will play key roles in the clinical diagnosis and treatment of diabetes mellitus, which is reviewed in this article.

To solve separating problem of natural soda, fifty-seven strains screened from soil, floul water and activated mud were of flocculating activity. Two strains of bacteria, which were screened from above mentioned strains have higher activity and better steady than the whole culture liquid of bacteria was observed that its flocculating use to natural soda was strong and the mean flocculating rate of two strains were 79.80% and 87.% respectively.
5.Peripheral blood stem cell transplantation in the treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy: A 3-month follow-up in 42 cases

AIM: Recent studies showed that stem cells could replace injured cardiomyocyte and increase the number of functional cardiomyocytes. Researching the pertinent literature in China Journal Full-text Database (CJFD) published between 2005 and 2008 indicated that the researches on stem cell transplantation in the treatment of primary dilated cardiomyopathy were few. This study investigated the therapeutic efficacy and security of peripheral blood stem cell transplantation in coronary artery in treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy and its effects on left ventricular function. METHODS: Forty-two patients with dilated cardiomyopathy between December 2006 and September 2007 were enrolled at the Department of Cardiology of First People's Hospital of Yunnan, including twenty-eight males and fourteen females, averagely aged (56?3) years. Inclusive criteria: patients with less than 65 years, left ventricular enlargement, and left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) ≤ 45%, and without coronary artery disease after coronary arteriongraphy. Informed consents were obtained from patients. Patients were divided into stem cell transplantation group (n=15) and control group (n=27) on the basis of whether being treated by stem cell transplantation. Patients in the stem cell transplantation group were consecutively administered granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) by hypodermic injection to stimulate bone marrow stem cells themselves based on conventional treatment for five days. Peripheral blood stem cell suspension was disassociated on the 6th day, and the collected suspension was injected into left anterior descending branch over the wire saccule tube for autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation. Patients in the control group were administered by conventional treatment of dilated cardiomyopathy. Security and adverse reaction were observed during the mobilization, collection and returning injection of peripheral blood stem cell by coronary artery. Morphous, cardiac function and motion index of left ventricle wall were evaluated using ultrasoundcardiogram before and 3 months after transplantation. Survival rate and incidence rate of heart incidents were compared. 6.Value of 18F-FDG PET/CT in evaluation of curative effect and progression-free survival on lymphoma

Objective To evaluate the value of 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT in evaluation of curative effect and progression-free survival (PFS) for lymphoma patients.Methods The data of 85 lymphoma patients were retrospectively analyzed.Before and after 4-8 cycles standardized chemotherapy,the patients were evaluated with 18F-FDG PET/CT.The two-year PFS rate was compared.The value of 18F-FDG PET/CT in evaluation of curative effect and PFS for lymphoma patients received chemoradiotherapy was analyzed.Results The non Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) was the common type,and the common pathogenic sites were head and neck lymph nodes,mediastinum and retroperitoneum.The majority of patients were accompanied with spleen enlargement and local lesions with high metabolism.The complete remission (CR) rate of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL)patients in PET/CT negative group was significantly higher than that in positive group (86.4% vs.42.9%,P =0.038).The two-year PFS rates in PET/CT positive group and negative group were 42.9% and 81.8%,and the difference was statistically significant (x2 =7.70,P =0.006).Thirty-five NHL patients achieved CR,13 achieved partial remission (PR),and 8 achieved stable disease (SD) or disease progression (PD).The two-year PFS rates in the CR group,PR group,SD or PD group were 89.7%,65.3% and 19.4% respectively,and the difference was statistically significant (x2 =12.41,P =0.002).PET/CT imaging had a strong PFS predictive effect on T cell lymphoma (TCL) patients (x2 =13.85,P =0.001) and diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL)patients (x2=13.51,P =0.001),and had no predictive effect on follicular lymphoma (FL) patients (x2 =4.63,P =0.099).Conclusion 18 F-FDG PET/CT can evaluate the curative effect of lymphoma effectively and early predict prognosis,and has great guiding significance in choosing therapeutic schedule.
7.Factors influencing neuropathic pain in patients with spinal cord injury

Objective To investigate the neuropathic pain (NP) accompanying spinal cord injury (SCI),and to analyze the related factors to provide references for its prevention and treatment.Methods Seventy SCI patients with NP were selected using the DN4 scale.Their age,gender,occupation,education level,monthly income,injury position,marital status and other data were surveyed using a general questionnaire.Their NP situation was surveyed using a simplified McGill pain questionnaire (SF-MPQ).Results The patients' average visual analogous scale (VAS) score was 4.37.Their average pain rating index (PRI) according to the SF-MPQ was 8.23,with the PRI-sensory and PRI-emotional components 5.23 and 3.00 respectively.The average degree of present pain intensity was 1.86,between mild pain and discomfort,and discomfort was the description most commonly used.The most common pain descriptor was prickling pain,followed by burning pain and bulge pain.85.7% of the patients felt that their pain had an adverse effect on their affective state,and exhaustion occurred more often than any other descriptive words.Univariant analysis showed that the degree of injury,education level,marital status,monthly income,family support and medication history were all factors correlated with NP perceptions.Multi-variate logistic regression analysis showed that being unmarried and severity of injury were independent protective factors against NP.No family support,no medication and low income were independent risk factors for NP.Conclusion The type of neuropathic pain varies in patients with spinal cord injury.The intensity of the pain is mostly at a medium level.The emotional state of most patients was affected.Neuropathic pain involves many factors.Being unmarried and severely injured are independent protective factors,while lack of family support,no medication,and having low income were independent risk factors.
8.Preparation and Characteristics of Patterned TiO2 Thin Film onTC4 Made by Sol-gel Method

Objective To improve the long-term biocompatibility and mechanical stability of Titanium alloy implants. Method micro-nano patterned TiO2 thin films have been prepared on TC4 substrates via a sol-gel dip-coating method with Ti(OC4H9)4 (TEOT) as precursor and polyethylene glycol (PEG) as organic template. The influence of PEG concentration upon the morphology of the target films has been studied by using AFM. The wettability and tribological properties of the target films have been studied by means of optical contact angle measuring instrument and UMT-2. Results When increasing the PEG concentration to 3.5g/100mL, a parallel arranged groove structure can be obtained on the surface of the sample; compare with TiO2 sol-gel film without adding organic template, the wear resistance of the patterned film is better. Conclusions The feature of the patterned TiO2 films can be controlled by adding different amount of organic template; and it has been proved that a certain kind of patterned structure can improve the wear resistance of the film.
9.Surgical treatment for internal rectal prolapse

Objective To evaluate operative effect on internal rectal prolapse. Methods Sixty-two patients with internal rectal prolapse who underwent operation were studied by retrospectively analyzing the treatment and followed up results. Results The total success rate of surgical treatment for internal rectal prolapse is 73%. The rate of symptoms improvement as difficulty in defecation,anal aboating, incomplete defecation,asistation with fingers,and defecating dependent on laxatives were 77%,80%,71%,86%,97% respectively. Conclusion the operative indications of internal rectal prolapse should be strictly controlled. Only those who received standard conservative treatment and failed to improve should be a candidate for surgery.
10.Content Determination of Carbohydrates in Osseous and Cucumis Extract Injection by Ion Chromatography

OBJECTIVE:To establish a method for the content determination of carbohydrates in Osseous and cucumis extract injection. METHODS:Ion chromatography was conducted on the column of Dionex CarboPac PA20 with mobile phase of water-1 mol/L Sodium acetate solution-250 mmol/L Sodium hydroxide solution(gradient elution)at flow rate of 0.45 ml/min,column tem-perature was 35 ℃,and injection volume was 10 μl,detector was electrochemical analysis detector. RESULTS:The linear ranges of galactose,glucose,mannose,sucrose and fructose were 0.5-10.0μg/ml(r>0.998 0);RSDs of precision,stability and reproduc-ibility tests were lower than 2%;recovery was 94.8%-99.1%(RSD=0.52%-0.89%,n=9). CONCLUSIONS:The method is sim-ple,fast and accurate,and can be used for the determination of carbohydrates in Osseous and cucumis extract injection.
