AIM:To explore the differences between unilateral recess-resection (R & R) and bilateral lateral rectus recession (BLR-rec) in the treatment of basic intermittent exotropia.METHODS: A retrospective analysis of treatment of basic intermittent exotropia in 89 patients,in which 49 cases underwent unilateral recess-resection,40 cases underwent bilateral lateral rectus recession of external rectus retroperitoneal surgery January 2013 to January 2015 in our hospital.The stereopsis and strabismus were observed in 1d,1,6mo,1 and 2a after operation.RESULTS: There was no significant difference in the success rate and oblique degree between the two groups after 1d,1,6mo,1 and 2a (all P>0.05),but the success rate of the operation was reducing as time passed.After 2d of the operation,the drift of the R & R group was 12.10±5.74PD and the drift of the BLR-rec group was 7.78±4.21PD,the difference was statistically significant (P=0.021).The R & R group was more likely to cause lateral slanting than BLR-rec group.Two groups of patients with nearly stereopsis were both significantly improved,there was no significant difference between the two groups in the two groups (x2=4.530,P=0.210).CONCLUSION: The long-term stability of BLR-rec is superior to R & R.

Abstract? AlM: To explore the effect of Danshen injection iontophoresis combined with lumbrukinase on early patients with retinal vein occlusion ( RVO ) , and observe the prognosis to provide objective basis for clinical?METHODS: Eighty-two patients ( 117 eyes ) with early RVO were randomly selected in our hospital from January, 2011 to April, 2014, 41 cases (59 eyes) of control group treated with Lumbrokinase. Forty-one cases ( 58 eyes) of the observation group, treated with Danshen injection iontophoresis combined with lumbrokinase. The main indexes were the treatment effect, visual acuity and retinal circulation time.?RESULTS: The total effective rate of the observation group was 85. 4% ( 35/41 ), more than that of control group 68. 3% ( 28/41 ), the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The invalid rate of the observation group was 14. 6% (6/41), lower than that of the control group 31. 7% ( 13/41 ), the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). The vision of the observation group 4. 8 ~5. 0 was 53. 7% (22/41), more than that of control group 41. 5% ( 17/41 ), the difference was statistically significant ( P < 0. 05 ). The restore vision of the observation group 4. 3 ~ 4. 7 was 31. 7% (13/41), lower than that of the control group 41. 5% ( 17/41 ), the difference was statistically significant ( P<0. 05 ). After treatment, retinal circulation time of two groups were lower than before treatment, the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05). After treatment of retinal vein circulation time of the observation group was 8. 15 ± 1. 30s, 9. 70 ± 1. 28s lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0. 05).?CONCLUSlON: There is better effective on Danshen injection iontophoresis combined with Lumbrokinase for early retinal vein occlusion, and can improve the patient's visual acuity, promote the rehabilitation of patients.

Objective To study the pathologic characteristics of eutopic endometrium in patients with endometriosis.Methods Pathologic characteristics of eutopic endometrium were studied in 176 patients with endometriosis in Peking Union Medical College Hospital from January 2007 to December 2008 retrospectively.Results About 72.2％(127/176)of eutopic endometrium were in proliferative phase,19.9％(35/176)of were observed as endometrial polyp,including 32 cases with simple endometrial polyp and 3 cases with abnormal hyperplasia combined with endometrial polyp.And 4.0％(7/176)showed abnormal hyperplasia.The incidence of pathologic changes in eutopic endometrium was 22.2％(39/176).Among 53 endometriosis patients combined with infertility,the incidence of pathologic changes of eutopic endometrium was 35.9％(19/53),which was significantly higher than 16.3％ in non-infertile patients (x2 =8.24,P =0.004).Among 65 cases with irregular menstruation,the incidence of endometrial polypus and endometrial hyperplasia were 20.0％(13/65)and 10.8％(7/65),which were significantly higher than 17.1％(19/111)and 0 in normal menstruation patients(x2 =13.839,P =0.003).Conclusions The eutopic endometrium of endometriosis were in proliferative phase state.The pathologic changes of eutopic endometrium were more in patients combined with infertility and irregular menstruation.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the effect and safety of extracorporeal shock wave (ESW) in the treatment of pain symptom of type III B prostatitis.

METHODSWe treated 50 cases of type III B prostatitis by ESW once a week for 4 weeks. Then we evaluated the clinical effect and safety of the therapy based on the NIH-CPSI scores, visual analogue scale (VAS) scores, IIEF-5 scores, prostate volume and morphous, state of urination, color of urine, results of routine semen analysis, and changes of cytokines (IL-6, TNF-α and IL-1β) in expressed prostatic secretion (EPS).

RESULTSAll the patients successfully accomplished the treatment. Compared with the baseline, decreases were observed after 4 weeks of cytokine treatment in the pain scores (14. 61 ± 1. 82 vs 9. 36 ± 1. 47, P <0. 01), urination symptom scores (4. 59 ± 1. 01 vs.4. 66 ± 0. 89, P >0. 05) , quality of life scores (6. 51 ± 1. 03 vs 4. 56 ± 1. 02, P <0. 01), NIH-CPSI (25. 43 ± 1. 72 vs 18. 28 ± 2. 32, P <0. 01 ), and VAS (6. 59 ± 1. 10 vs 3. 02 ± 1. 07, P < 0. 01). The concentration of IL-6 in the EPS was significantly increased ([55.82 ± 6. 28] vs [86.59 ± 4. 55] ng/ml, P <0. 01) , while the level of TNF-α ([3.89 ± 0. 12] vs [3. 19 ± 0.22] ng/ml, P<0.01) and that of IL-1β ([3.21 ± 1.01] vs [1.48 ± 0.95] ng/ml, P< 0. 01) remarkably reduced after treatment. However, there were no statistically significant differences in IIEF-5 scores (18. 58 ± 2. 03 vs 18. 51 1. 89, P >0. 05) or various sperm parameters before and after treatment (P >0. 05). And no significant changes were observed in the prostate volume, morphous or internal echoes.

CONCLUSIONThe ESW therapy is effective and safe for the pain symptom of type III B prostatitis.

Objective By means of analyzing the antihypertensive use of hypertension patients of Guiyang in 2013 and impact factors for basic drug use,to evaluate the impacts of the essential medicines list in place in Guiyang to hypertension patients in communities in Guiyang.Methods 969 hypertension patients were surveyed with structured questionnaire of stratified random sampling at 6 community health centers in Guiyang city.Results Hypertension patients in communities averaged 1.4 types of antihypertensive,and the essential medicines used accounted for 39.8％of all the antihypertensive.The distribution differences of the ratio of essential medicines use are significant interms of age,gender,and household annual income.Use ratio of non-essential medicines of the 55～64 age group and 65～74 age group are 3.48 times and 0.47 times over that of the 75 and above age group.For hypertension patients of low income and medium income,their probable use of non-essential medicines is 2.05 and 2.87 times that of high income households.Conclusion As the use ratio of hypertension patients in Guiyang is relatively low,and the factors for it are age and household income,focused intervention is recommended for the 65～74 age group and low-income households,for the purpose of high use ratio of essential medicines of such people.

Objective To evaluate the effects of gestational weight gain(GWG) in different prepregnant body mass index (BMI) women on perinatal outcomes and to provide evidences for gestational weight management protocol.Methods Totally,2409 healthy singleton pregnant women accepted regular prenatal examinations in Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital from January 2009 to April 2010 were recruited in this study.They were divided into three groups according to pre-pregnant BMI,which were low BMI group (BMI＜18.5),normal BMI group (BMI 18.5-) and high BMI group (BMI≥24.0).According to GWG,the difference between pre-delivery maximal weight and prepregnant weight,the low and normal BMI women were divided into ＜10 kg,10 kg-and ≥15 kg GWG subgroups,and the high BMI women were divided into ＜5 kg,5 kg-,10 kg and ≥15 kg GWG subgroups.Data including gestational age,delivery modc,newborns' birth weight,Apgar score and incidences of gestational complications,such as hypertensive disorders complicating pregnancy (HDP),gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM),macrosomia,fetal growth restriction (FGR) and preterm birth,were recorded.Analysis of variance,Student-Newman Keuls,Chi-square test and Fisher exact test were applied for statistics.Results (1) Among the 2409 women,the percentages of low,normal and high BMI groups were 18.5％ (n=445),69.9％ (n=1685) and 11.6％ (n=279),respectively.The incidences of HDP,GDM,macrosomia and caesarean delivery in high BMI group were 12.9％ (n=36),17.9％ (n=50),13.6％ (n=38) and 52.3％ (n=146),respectively,higher than those in low BMI group [3.4％ (n=15),4.3 ％ (n=19),3.8％ (n=17) and 25.8％(n=115),x2 =23.8,37.1,23.5 and 50.2,P＜0.05] and those in normal BMI group [5.5％ (n=92),7.8％ (n=132),7.8％ (n=132)and 31.6％ (n=532),x2=21.8,29.0,10.1 and 3.4,P＜0.05].(2) In normal BMI group,the rates of FGR and preterm birth in GWG ＜10 kg subgroup were 3.5％ (4/115) and 8.7％ (10/115),higher than those in GWG 10 kg-subgroup [0.7％(4/548) and 3.3％(18/548),x2=6.0 and 6.9,P＜0.05] and GWG ≥15 kg subgroup [(0.8 ％ (8/1022) and 3.6％ (37/1022),x2=7.2 and 6.7,P＜0.05].The rates of macrosomia and cesarean delivery in GWG ≥15 kg subgroup were 10.7％ (109/1022) and 34.5％ (353/1022),higher than those in GWG＜10 kgsubgroup [3.5％ (4/115) and 32.2％ (37/115),x2=6.0 and 63.0,P＜0.05] and GWG 10 kg subgroup [3.5％ (19/548) and 25.9％ (142/548),x2=24.7 and 31.0,P＜0.05].(3) In high BMI group,the incidences of all pregnancy complications and perinatal outcomes did not show statistical significance among the four GWG subgroups (P＞0.05).Conclusions High prepregnant BMI is a high risk factor of pregnancy complications.It is suggested that normal BMI women should control GWG at 10-15 kg to lower the incidences of pregnancy complications.
