35 % and the intraoperative blood loss was expected to be 800-1 600 ml. The operations were performed under combined general-epidural anesthesia. General anesthesia was induced with fentanyl 2-4 ?g?kg-1 , thiopentone 5 mg?kg-1 and succinylcholine 1.5mg? kg-1 and maintained with isoflurane inhalation and intermittent iv boluses of vecuronium. Epidural anesthesia was performed at T5-6 (thoracic surgery), T10-11 (upper abdominal surgery) or L3-4 (lower abdominal surgery) . A mixture of 0.1% lidocaine +0.2% dicaine was used for epidural block during operation. The patients were randomly divided into 2 groups: (1) ANIH group ( n = 18) and (2) AHH group ( n = 20) . Blood volume (BV) was calculated according to following formula: BV (ml) (male) = Height (cm)? 28.5 + Body weight (kg) ? 31.6 - 2 820,BV(ml) (female) = Height(cm)? 16.25 + Body weight (kg) ? 38.46 - 1 369. 1 000-1 200 ml of 6% HES (200/0.5) and 500 ml of lactated Ringer's solution (about 25%-30% of BV) were infused at a rate of 50ml?min-1 when induction of anesthesia was started in both groups. In group I (ANIH) 400-600 ml of blood (about 10%-15% of BV) was removed through radial artery before induction of anesthesia. The removed blood was reinfused at the end of surgery. Vital signs (BP,HR,CVP and ST-T changes) , Hct, oncotic pressure and arterial blood lactate concentration were monitored during operation. Results The vital signs were fairly stable during perioperative period in both groups. Transient hypotension developed in 16.7% (3/8 in group Ⅰ ) and 15.0% (3/20 in group Ⅱ ) of patients during induction of anesthesia. CVP was significantly elevated in both groups but the increase in CVP was significantly higher in group Ⅱthan that in group Ⅰ . In group Ⅰ (AN1H) moderate hemodilution was achieved (Hct = 29.9% 2.9%) while in group Ⅱ (AHH) only mild hemodilution was achieved (Hct = 32.9% ?2.9%) .Hct was significantly higher in group Ⅰ(31.5% ?5.1%) than that in group Ⅱ (27.7% ?3.6%) at the end of surgery. Blood loss was comparable between the two groups, and oncotic pressure and blood lactate level were within normal range in both groups. Conclusion ANIH is more effective and safer than AHH without obvious adverse effects, and can avoid exceedingly high CVP commonly seen in AHH. ANIH is a hemodilution technique of choice in the elderly patients.

The pathological changes of high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU) for organ ablation involve three periods:acute stage, subacute stage and chronic phase. The pathological characteristics include hyperemia, edema, and coagulative necrosis of tissues, tissue proliferation, recovery, the infiltration of fibroblast and formation of scar tissue. This paper introduced the bioactive mechanism of HIFU,effects of HIFU on human and animals, indicating HIFU technique can damage target organs and tissues of human and experimental animals, which has specific biological effect. And it has great potentials to treat benign and malignant tumor and chronic pain.

Aim To study the mechanisms of protective effects of extract of astragalus against focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury in rats. Methods Focal cerebral ischemia was induced by intraluminal thread occlusion of middle cerebral artery. Immunohistochemistry was used to determine expression of TNF-?,IL-1? was measured by radioimmunity, and the apoptosis was observed by TUNEL. Results EA(20、40、80 mg?kg -1,ig)could decrease the expression of TNF-? and the level of IL-1? and reduce cell apoptosis. Conclusion EA has inhibitory action on the increase in the expression of TNF-?,the level of IL-1? and the apoptosis of neurons induced by focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion.

Aim To study the effects of extract of astragalus on hippocampal delayed neuronal death of totalcerebral ischemia and 7 days reperfusion in rats. Methods Global ischemia was made by four-vessel occlusion. Electron microscope was used to observe the ultramicrostructure of dorsal hippocampal neurons.Light microscope was used to survey the structure of hippocampal neurons and to count the number of normal neurons in CA1 sector. Glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) was detected by immune histochemistry. Results Compared with ischemia and reperfusion group(I/R),EA improved the ultrastructure of hippocampal neurons, suppressed the decrease of normal neurons in CA1 and degraded the expression of GFAP .The number of normal neurons in I/R group was 38?11.5,and in EA(20,40 mg?kg -1) groups,63?12.8(P

As a treasure resource of novel drug lead compounds, how to rapidly and high-efficiently screen and isolate active components from natural products is critical. Thanks to its high resolution, high automation and flexible integration, online two-dimensional liquid chromatography has great potential for screening active ingredients from complex matrices by integrating a highly specific bio-recognition process into a two-dimensional liquid chromatography system before, on or after the column separation. This review comprehensively summarized recent developments, applications and shortcomings of online two-dimensional liquid chromatography for natural product screening from different integration modes, including pre-column, on-column and post-column screening methods.

Objective To explore role of 64-slices spiral CT in differetiation of acute chest pains. Methods Thirty six patients with acute chest pains were performed 64-slices spiral CT chest angiography.Two-dimensional and three-dimensional reconstruction was performed in all patients by means of multiplanar reconstruction(MPR)(coronal, sgittal oblique),curved planar reformation(CPR), maximum intensity projection(MIP),and volume rendering(VR).All images were blindly reading by two experienced radiologist.DSA were performed at the same time in 16 cases. Results The coronary artery branches, pulmonary artery and aortic artery in all patients were showed clearly,The acute myocardial infarction were showed in 10 cases,The pulmonary artery embolism in 14 cases,The aortic dissection in 6 cases respectively,The Coronary embolism in One case ,pneumothorax In One case The constrictive pericarditis in 1 case respectively.Normal findings in 4 cases. Conclusion 64-slices spiral CT is a useful and noninvasive examination in acute chest pain.

A temperature-sensitive mutant strain was isolated after transposon mutagenesis with Tn5 and named MT54.PCR was carried out with primers designed according to the sequence of transposon, the PCR products showed that the MT54 carried transposon in the genome. The mutant grew well at 30℃in minimal medium(MM)containing p-nitrophenol(PNP)as sole carbon source, while it cannot grow at 37℃in the same medium,NO_2.detection results also proved that.Comparing the degradation rate of PNP and hydroquinone of MT54 and DLL-E4 at different temperature,it was speculated that the mutant site locate in the PNP degradation related genes.
