4.Research on"Five evolutive phases and six climatic factors"and Chinese medical constitution
China Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Pharmacy 2005;0(11):-
The doctrine of"Five evolutive phases and six climatic factors"has a solid foundation of astronomy. In the traditional Chinese calendar, the years are designated by the circles of the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, which reflects the cyclical regularity of the movement of the Sun,the Moon, the Earth and the stars. The cyclical movement brings up the qi transforming patterns(produce, growth, transformation, contraction and store)of the living things. The patterns are also the underlying foundation of human constitutional tendency.According to the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches of someone’s pregnant period and birth time,we could know the universe qi transforming characteristics of that time, thereby conjecture the constitutional tendency of the person. This is a very important way to research Chinese medical constitution.

Objective: To optimize the formula and preparation process of docetaxel-loaded pluronic P123 micelles. Methods:Docetaxel-loaded pluronic P123 micelles were prepared by a thin-film hydration method and optimized by central composite design and response surface methodology. The influencing factors including the quantity of docetaxel, volume of organic phase, volume of hydra-tion and temperature of hydration were investigated with the entrapment efficiency as the index. The morphology of micelles was ob-served under a transmission electron microscope. The particle diameter and zeta potential were determined. The in vitro release property was measured by a dialysis method. Results:The relationship between the influencing factors and the evaluation parameter was fitted by multi-linear equation, quadratic polynomial equation and cubic polynomial equation, respectively. The results showed that the cubic polynomial equation was superior to the others according to the correlation coefficient. Docetaxel-loaded pluronic P123 micelles were spherical with the mean diameter, zeta potential, polydispersity index, encapsulation efficiency and drug loading of 108. 3 nm,-3. 99 mV, 0. 265, (97. 91 ± 0. 28)% and (3. 72 ± 0. 12)%, respectively. The cumulative release in vitro reached 95. 03% in 120 h, and docetaxel-loaded pluronic P123 micelles had notable sustained-release property. Conclusion: The technical process for do-cetaxel-loaded pluronic P123 micelles is simple and usable, and docetaxel-loaded pluronic P123 micelles show high encapsulation effi-ciency and notable sustained-release property.

Objective: To investigate primary gastrointestinal B cell non Hodgkin’s lymphoma for clinicopathological features, proliferation, apoptosis and its association with Helicobacter pylori (HP). Methods: Classification of tumors, expression of HP, proliferation and apoptosis related gene products were studied by immunohistochemistry. Apoptosis was studied by TUNEL (TdT [terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase] dUTP nick end labeling). Results: There were 15 cases of mucosa associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma (9 in stomach, 6 in intestine) and 42 cases of diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) (28 in stomach, 14 in intestine) in all the 57 cases of primary gastrointestinal BCL. The average apoptotic indexes (AI) were 0.16%, 2.54% in MALT lymphoma and DLBCL respectively. The average proliferation indexes (PI) were 2.22% and 8.71%,respectively. The p53 positive rates were 6.7% and 35.7%. PI ( P =0.026) and p53 ( P =0.044) had significant differences; But Bcl 2 positive rates were 60.0% and 35.7%,and HP positive rates were 66.7% and 23.8%, respectively. HP had significant differences ( P =0.005). Conclusion: HP and gastrointestinal MALT lymphoma had significant relation. Apoptosis and proliferative activity were higher in DLBCL than in MALT. The higher Bcl 2 expression in MALT may be related to lower apoptosis. p53 promotes apoptosis and p53 gene mutation may play a role in the progression from MALT to DLBCL. HP antibody may be used in HP detection in gastrointestinal BCL.
