1.Progresses of ultrasonography in diagnosis of biliary atresia
Chinese Journal of Medical Imaging Technology 2017;33(4):628-631
Biliary atresia (BA) is the most common cause of persistent jaundice in infant,it can rapidly advance to biliary cirrhosis and death.Surgical treatment in time can decrease mortality,so it is essential to be differentiated from other diseases as early as possible.Main diagnosis methods of BA include clinical feature of patients, liver biopsy, and high-frequen cy ultrasonography,MR cholangiopancreatography (MRCP),hepatobiliary scintigraphy.High-frequency ultrasonography is superior to other methods with high diagnostic specificity and sensitivity. The progresses of ultrasonography in diagnosis of BA were reviewed in this article.
2.Analysis on risk factors for community-acquired pneumonia in the elderly
Chinese Journal of Geriatrics 2015;34(7):720-722
Objective To explore the risk factors for community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) in the elderly,in order to provide the basis for clinical prevention and treatment. Methods 168 elderly patients with CAP (observation group) and 100 elderly patients without CAP (control group) were chosen from our hospital from Jan.2013 to Dec.2014.The clinical data were investigated, and the risk factors for CAP were analyzed. Results Single factor analysis showed that there were significant differences between the two groupsin serum protein level,pets-raising,smoking,dust exposure, bronchial disease, renal dysfunction and diabetes mellitus (all P<0.05).Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that serum protein level,pets-raising,smoking,bronchial disease and diabetes were the independent risk factors for CAP in the elderly (OR=2.793,2.578,3.017,3.168 and 2.643,all P<0.05).Conclusions The community-acquired pneumonia is related with many risk factors in the elderly. The clinical corresponding prevention and treatment for the risk factors should be developed, which have an important significance in the early diagnosis, early treatment and prognostic improvement in community-acquired pneumonia.

5.Germ cell membrane lipids in spermatogenesis.
Ting WANG ; Xiao SHI ; Song QUAN
National Journal of Andrology 2016;22(5):450-454
Spermatogenesis is a complex developmental process in which a diploid progenitor germ cell transforms into highly specialized spermatozoa. During spermatogenesis, membrane remodeling takes place, and cell membrane permeability and liquidity undergo phase-specific changes, which are all associated with the alteration of membrane lipids. Lipids are important components of the germ cell membrane, whose volume and ratio fluctuate in different phases of spermatogenesis. Abnormal lipid metabolism can cause spermatogenic dysfunction and consequently male infertility. Germ cell membrane lipids are mainly composed of cholesterol, phospholipids and glycolipids, which play critical roles in cell adhesion and signal transduction during spermatogenesis. An insight into the correlation of membrane lipids with spermatogenesis helps us to better understand the mechanisms of spermatogenesis and provide new approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of male infertility.

Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2013;(1):35-37
Objective To investigate the effect of meridian massage on the growth and development of premature infants. Methods 60 preterm infants were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group with 30 cases in each group, the control group adopted modified domestic simple meridian massage method, and the observation group increase meridian massage based on the control group,2 times a day and 15 minutes one time.Body weight, length, intake of milk, sleep time, time to regain birth weight, and meconium drained time were eomparel between two groups. Results The observation group was significantly better than the control group in body weight, length, intake of milk, sleep time, time to regain birth weight, and meconium drained time. Conclusions Meridian massage based on the domestic simple touch method plays a significant role in promoting the growth and development of premature infants.

Journal of Clinical Pediatrics 2015;(4):306-308
ObjectiveTo study the risk factors of childhood functional constipation.MethodsA cross-sectional analysis of risk factors associated with 182 cases of functional constipation in children was conducted from March 2013 to February 2014. ResultsThe male patients were more than females, mainly in preschool children. The risk factors were did not like fruits and vegetables (52.2%), drank less water (44.0%), did not develop the habit of daily bowel movement (39.5%), defecation fear (36.3%), inadequate food intake (25.8%). There were different risk factors in different age stages.ConclusionsFunctional constipation is related to gender, age, diet habits and mental psychology.

Chinese Journal of Schistosomiasis Control 2016;28(4):475-477,480
Objective To diagnose the first imported case of Plasmodium ovale infection by laboratory detection. Meth?ods The epidemiological data and blood samples of the case were collected, and the samples were detected by the microscopic examination, rapid diagnostic test(RDT)and nested PCR. Results The patient was a construction worker backing from Con?go,Africa. He experienced the symptoms of irregular fever and weakness one month after returning in Lingyang Town,Junxian County. The results of RDT only suggested no?Plasmodium falciparum infection. Under the microscope,it was seen that the in?fected RBC were obviously disfigured and in irregular shape, the ring forms were thick and big,and also thick granulas in big trophozoite stage and schizont stage were found. The results of PCR showed that the size of amplified product was about 800 bp, which was conformed to that of P. ovale. Conclusion Though microscopic examination is the golden standard for malaria diag?nosis,as P. ovale is difficult to be identified under microscope, the microscopic method combined with PCR test can be used for definite diagnosis.
10.Sulfogalactosylglycerolipid in spermatogenesis and fertilization.

National Journal of Andrology 2015;21(2):175-178
Sulfogalactosylglycerolipid (SGG) is the main glycolipid in male mammalian germ cells, which is selectively and highly expressed in mammalian testes and helps form the lipid bilayer of cell membrane. In the process of spermatogenesis, SGG is involved in the meiosis of spermiocytes. Either deficiency or accumulation of SGG will lead to male infertility. SGG homeostasis in the testis is the premise of normal spermatogenesis. In the process of sperm-zona binding, SGG becomes a component of lipid raft and provides a platform for signal transduction. The SGG binding protein plays a role in sperm-egg recognition and membrane fusion. SGG has a great research value and application prospect in male reproduction.
