Objective To investigate the status of career resilience and job satisfaction among specialized nurses and to analyze the correlation between them.Methods Totally 288 specialized nurses were investigated with Career Resilience Scale and Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire.The correlation between career resilience and job satisfaction was analyzed using a Pearson correhtion analysis.Results The overall score of the career resilience was (37.12±4.78); the overall score of the job satisfaction was (68.51±7.87).They correlation coefficient between career resilience and job satisfaction was 0.310.Conclusions The level of career resilience and job satisfaction need to be enhanced among specialized nursing.There is a low to medium positive correlation between career resilience and job satisfaction.Measures should be carried out to enhance the nursing staffs' career resilience and to further improve their job satisfaction.

Objective To investigate the level of psychological capital of nursing administrative personnel and analyze its influencing factors.Methods A total of 302 nursing administrative personnel of Anhui Province were investigated with Chinese Version of Nurses Psychological Capital Questionnaire (PCQ-24) and a self-designed question-naire about demographic information.Results The overall score of psychological capital was (106.23±10.67) points,and the dimension scores from high to low were selfefficacy (26.79±3.40) points,resilience (26.60±3.25) points,hope(26.56±3.55) points,and optimism(26.27±3.34) points.Multiple regression analysis showed that health?level and positions entered the regression equation,t=2.904,1.838,P＜0.05.Conclusions The overall nursing administrative personnel psychological capital is in the middle level,health level and positions were influencing factors of nurses psychological capital.It is suggested that the psychological capital should be introduced into nursing administrative field and take diversified measured to improve their psychological capital.

Objective To investigate the career resilience and its influencing factors among nurse specialists.Methods Totally 288 nurse specialists were investigated by General Information Questionnaire,Career Resilience Scale,Core Self-Evaluations Scale and Simplified Coping Style Scale.Results The score was 37.12±4.78 for career resilience,35.46±4.78 for core self-evaluations,23.57±5.2 1 for positive coping,and 9.39±3.74 for negative coping,respectively.There were statistic difference (P＜0.01) among the total score and 2 dimensions score of career resilience on different level of self-assessment of health among specialist nurses.Specialist nurses,career resilience had a obvious positive correlation with the age,nursing age,core self-evaluations,and positive coping(P＜ 0.01).The results of multivariate linear regression analysis showed that age,self-assessment of health,positive coping and core self-evaluations entered the regression equation of career resilience.Positive coping was a partial intermediate variable of core self-evaluations and career resilience.Conclusion The level of career resilience is medium and it should be enhanced among nurse specialists.The age,self-assessment of health,positive coping and core self-evaluations are possible influencing factors of career resilience.And core self-evaluations can improve career resilience of specialist nurses via the effects of positive coping.

Objective To construct a recombinant bacillus Calmette-Guérin(BCG) vaccines based on different tandem repeats of MUC1 and GM-CSF, rBCG-MVNTR1/4/8-CSF, and to observe the ability of three recombinant BCG vaccines in the inhibition of breast cancer. Methods After MUC1 variable-number tandem repeats (MVNTR1/4/8) were cloned in a stepwise manner, the E. coli-Mycobacteria shuttle expression vector pDE22-MVNTR1/4/8-CSF were constructed by fusing MVNTR1/4/8 and GM-CSF, and then used to transform competent BCG by electroporation after identification by restriction endonuclease digestion analysis and DNA sequencing. A novel breast cancer vaccines, rBCG-MVNTR1/4/8-CSF was constructed. The expression of fused MVNTR1/4/8-CSF protiens was analyzed by SDS-PAGE and Western blot. The ability of rBCG vaccines inhibiting the growth of breast cancer was observed in hu-PBL-SCID mice. The specific T cell responses in mice were assessed by immunohistochemistry. Results The expression of recombinant MVNTR1/4/8-CSF fusion proteins were detected by SDS-PAGE and Western Blot in rBCG-MVNTR1/4/8-CSF vaccines, respectively. Tumor incidence in mice prophylactic immunized with rBCG-MVNTR4-CSF (37.5%) or rBCG-MVNTR8-CSF (25%) significantly decreased compared with PBS and BCG-pDE22 control ( 100% ) at 42 days after tumor implantation ( P ＜ 0. 05 ). MCF-7 tumor growth inhibition in rBCG- MVNTR4/8-CSF-immunized mice was more significant than that in controls ( P ＜0. 01 ).The inhibition effect of three rBCG vaccines on breast rumor growth appeared to rise with increase of numbers of the tandem repeats of MUC1. Survival rate was 75% of mice in the rBCG-MVNTR4-CSF-treated group and 87. 5% of mice in the rBCG-MVNTR8-CSF-treated groups at 70 days after tumor implantation; however,survival rate was only 12. 5% in control group( P ＜0. 05). The CD4-positive and CD8-positive lymphocytes were detected only in rBCG-MVNTR4/8-CSF-immunized mice. Conclusions rBCG-MVNTR4/8-CSF immunization inhibits breast cancer growth in mice.

Objective To undemtand the rhythm of urinary iodine level of children aged 8-10 in Chongqing city.Methods In April 2008,using the stratified random sampling method,we sampled 60 children aged 8-10 in a lodging primary school in Chongqing(20 per age group,half male and half female),the urine samples were collected in the morning and at 10:00,12:30,16:00,iodine in urine was detected by method of Ce and arsenic catalytic speetrophotometry(WS/T 107-2006).The difference of the urinary iodine level was compared by age,sex and time of day.Results The median urinary iodine of 60 children was 265.07μg/L on the overall.Irrespective of the stratification factors,excluding morning urinary iodine(366.75μg/L)and urinary iodine at 10:00(338.30 μg/L),the urinary iodine between 12:30(235.15μg/L)and 16:00(251.50μg/L)was not significant(all P>0.05),statistically significant differences(all P<0.05)were found between any two.The urinary iodine of 8-year-old group at different times of the day was significantly different(all P<0.05),except between morning urinary iodine (298.90 μg/L)and at 10:00,16:00(279.00,286.59 μg/L),between urinary iodine at 10:00 and 16:00(all P>0.05).The 9-year-old group's urinary iodine were not significantly different between morning urine(366.15μg/L)and 10:00(368.10 μg/L),and between 12:30(244.00 μg/L)and 16:00(186.30 μg/L,all P>0.05),significant differences were faund at other times of the day(all P<0.05).The 10-year-old group of urinary iodine changed very little before 12:30 (382.85,449.60,337.00 μg/L, all P > 0.05 ), followed by rapid decline to 16: 00 (269.35 μg/L), and compared with the morning urine and 10:00, there was significant difference(all P < 0.05).Regardless boys or girls, the urinary iodine at different times qf the day was significantly different (all P < 0.05),except between morning urinary iodine(337.32,309.28 μg/L) and at 10:00(316.15,288.27 μg/L), between urinary iodine at 12:30(251.18,211.45 μg/L) and 16:00(235.02,211.45 μg/L, all P > 0.05). Conclusions The change of urinary iodine level in children aged 8 - 10 was not obvious before noon, changes can be seen in the afternoon.Urinary iodine level before 10:00 is indicative.

Objective To explore the effect of theta-burst stimulation (TBS) of the motor cortex on the suprahyoid muscles and the mechanism through which the bilateral motor cortex regulates the suprahyoid muscles.Methods Continuous TBS (cTBS) was applied to the left motor cortex followed by intermittent TBS (iTBS) applied to the right motor cortex of 24 healthy subjects.The motor-evoked potentials (MEPs) of the suprahyoid muscles on both sides were recorded before the stimulation and after 15 and 30 minutes.The MEP amplitudes of the left and right suprahyoid muscles were analyzed using repeated measures analysis of variance.Results Before stimulation, the average MEP amplitudes of the left and right suprahyoid muscles were (375.29 ± 176.09) μV and (368.17 ± 149.02) μV respectively, significantly lower than the values after the stimulation.Conclusion iTBS can distinctly enhance the excitability of the right motor cortex controlling the suprahyoid muscles and reverse the inhibition caused by cTBS applied to the left motor cortex.Clarifying the effect of TBS on the excitability of the bilateral motor cortex is important for the rehabilitation of dysphagic stroke survivors.

Objective:To explore the role of group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2) in atopic dermatitis (AD) .Methods:C57BL/6J and Rag1 -/- mice served as research objects. The C57BL/6J mice were divided into 2 groups: model group topically treated with calcipotriol (MC903) on both ears every day for 14 consecutive days, control group topically treated with anhydrous ethanol alone at the same time. On day 15, peripheral blood samples were collected from the mice. After the sacrifice, the ear skin tissues were obtained for histopathological examination, and the spleens were resected. Real-time fluorescence-based quantitative PCR was performed to determine the expression of inflammatory factors in the skin and spleen tissues, and flow cytometry to determine the proportion of ILC2 in the skin tissues. The Rag1 -/- mice were divided into model group, control group and experimental group: the Rag1 -/- mice in the model group and control group received the same treatment and evaluation as the C57BL/6J mice; two days before the topical treatment with MC903, the Rag1 -/- mice in the experimental group started to be intraperitoneally injected with the monoclonal antibody CD90.2 at a dose of 300 μg/150 μl once every other 2 days for 7 sessions, with the purpose of antagonizing the function of ILC2, and other treatments were the same as those in the model group. Skin manifestations were observed, and histopathological features were evaluated. Two-independent-sample t test was used for comparisons between 2 groups, and one-way analysis of variance for comparisons among multiple groups. Results:In the model group, the ear skin of the C57BL/6J mice was apparently red, swollen and dry with crusts, and hematoxylin and eosin (HE) staining showed increased thickness of the epidermis and dermal infiltration of eosinophils; the serum level of IgE (6 751.016 ± 282.324 μg/L) was significantly higher in the model group than in the control group (6 387.038 ± 267.853 μg/L, P= 0.007) , so were the expression of interleukin (IL) -4, IL-13 and interferon (IFN) -γ in the skin tissues ( P= 0.005, 0.012, < 0.001, respectively) , but there was no significant difference in IL-5 expression ( P= 0.190) ; the expression of IL-4, IL-13 and IFN-γ in the spleen was significantly higher in the model group than in the control group (all P < 0.001) , but there was no significant difference in IFN-γ expression ( P= 0.278) ; moreover, the model group showed significantly increased proportion of ILC2 (5.604% ± 2.105%) compared with the control group (1.750% ± 1.104%, P= 0.003) . In the Rag1 -/- mice, the ear skin was obviously red, swelling and dry with crusts in the model group, and HE staining showed increased epidermal thickness and eosinophil infiltration in the dermis; the model group showed significantly increased expression of IL-4, IL-5, thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) and IL-33 in skin tissues ( P= 0.010, 0.043, 0.034, 0.007, respectively) , but no significant difference in the expression of IL-13 or IFN-γ ( P= 0.274, 0.697, respectively) compared with the control group; the proportion of ILC2 was significantly higher in the model group (5.165% ± 2.436%) than in the control group (0.835% ± 0.578%, P= 0.014) ; the experimental group showed markedly attenuated skin lesions, reduced epidermal thickness and number of eosinophils infiltrating in the dermis, but no significant difference in the expression of IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, TSLP or IL-33 compared with the model group (all P > 0.05) . Conclusion:ILC2 play a role in the mice with AD-like inflammatory response induced by MC903, which dose not depend on adaptive immunity.

OBJECTIVETo observe the effect of Wenyang Yiqi Huoxue Recipe (WYHR) on the apoptosis of photoreceptor cells in retinal degeneration slow (RDS) mice, and to investigate its molecular mechanisms.

METHODSRDS mice were randomly divided into the model group and the Chinese medicine group,and C57BL/6J mice were selected as the normal control group. Each group consisted of 4 female mice and 2 male mice. Mice in the Chinese medicine group were administered with WYHR (10 mg/g) by gastrogavage since mating. Baby mice drunk WYHR decoction instead of drinking water once they were born. The offspring were administrated with low dose WYHR decoction by gastrogavage from the 7th postnatal day, and the dose was increased to that for adult mice from the 21st postnatal day. Physiological saline was administrated to mice in the model group and the normal control group by gastrogavage. At 18, 28 and 48 postnatal days, electroretinogram (ERG) was used to evaluate the retina functional variation, and the apoptotic rate of photoreceptor cells was determined by TUNEL staining. HE staining was performed. The number of photoreceptor cells of the outer nuclear layer was calculated. Furthermore, effect of WYHR on Rhodopsin and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) expression was examined using immunochemical assay.

RESULTSCompared with the model group, a- and b-wave latency and amplitude, as well as the bFGF expression sharply increased in the Max-ERG of the Chinese medicine group (P < 0.05, P < 0.01) at 18 postnatal days. At 28 and 48 postnatal days, a- and b-wave latency and amplitude sharply increased, photoreceptor cell layer numbers of the outer nuclear layer obviously increased, the apoptosis rate of retinal photoreceptor cells obviously decreased, expressions of Rhodopsin and bFGF in the Chinese medicine group significantly increased (P < 0.05, P < 0.01).

CONCLUSIONWYHR could effectively inhibit the apoptosis of photoreceptor cells in RDS mice, which might be attributed to up-regulating bFGF expression.

OBJECTIVETo investigate effects of paraquat on the mRNA expression of key elements of Notch signaling (Notch1, Jagged1 and DTX1) during differentiation process of human neural stem cells (hNSCs).

METHODShNSCs exposed to PQ at the concentrations 0.10, 1.00, 10.00 M. Cell proliferation ability was assessed using MTT assay and mRNA expressions of Notch1, Jagged1 and DTX1 were detected by Real-time RT-PCR at 2, 4, 8, 12 d of differentiation.

RESULTSCompared with control group, NOTCH1, JAG1 mRNA expression levels exposed to PQ at the concentration of 0.10 M significantly reduced at 2, 4, 8 d and significantly went up at 12d (P < 0.01). Compared with control group, NOTCH1, JAG1 and DTX1 mRNA expression levels exposed to PQ at the concentration of 10.00 M significantly reduced at 2, 8, 12 d (P < 0.01). PQ could down-regulate Notch1, Jagged1 and DTX1 mRNA expressions at the early stage of differentiation, then up-regulate Notch1 mRNA expression, and down-regulate Notch1, Jagged1 and DTX1 mRNA expressions at the end of differentiation.

CONCLUSIONNotch signaling pathway may be involved in differentiation of neural stem cell exposed to PQ.
