4.A survey on knowledge of sexual health in freshmen
Chinese Journal of Practical Nursing 2014;30(19):38-40
Objective To understand the knowledge of sexual and reproductive health of undergraduates with different nationalities and provide scientific basis for sexual and reproductive health education in the nationalities university. Methods A self-developed questionnaire about sexual, reproductive health and sexual attitude was used to carry out investigation among 2 200 freshman. Results Formal education (family and school) do not become the main source of the sex knowledge; there were statistic significance of the comparison of sexual, reproductive knowledge and sexual attitude among minority undergraduates and Han nationality undergraduates,as well as among undergraduates from different minorities. Conclusions The undergraduates are thirsty for gaining general sexual knowledge from school and family during the period of university. It is necessary to improve sexual and reproductive knowledge through various ways for minority undergraduates.

World Science and Technology-Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine 2014;(12):2664-2670
Alkaloids are a kind of natural nitrogen compounds which are widespread in the nature, with special and significant activities in pharmacology. In recent years, immunoassay techniques have been applied for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of alkaloids from traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). However, preparation and identifica-tion of artificial antigen with good immunogenicity are necessary and important for establishment of immunoassay for alkaloids from TCM. This paper summarized the designing ideas and procedures for preparation of artificial antigen and identification for the conjugates of alkaloids and carrier protein, in order to provide reference point for establish-ment and application of immunoassay techniques.
6.Critical Role of Toll-Like Receptors in Regulation of Immune Response
Journal of Applied Clinical Pediatrics 2006;0(21):-
Toll-like receptors are an important pattern recognition receptors that recognize specific components of microbes and certain host molecules.Through initiated cell signaling pathway, they can induce immunocyte.Their activation triggers the innate immune response, and is crucial to the successful induction of Th1/Th2-phenotyped adaptive immunity. This review will give a brief overview of our current knowledge of TLRs as key components in immune responses and their regulation in respiratory tract diseases such as asthma.

The concentration of 5 nucleosides, uracil, uridine, guanidine, adenine and adenosine in culture of Paecilomyces hepialid was determined by the developed method of HPLC. The HPLC method was performed on a Waters SunFire C18 (4.6 mm x 250 mm, 5 μm) column with methanol-water gradient elution as the mobile phase. The detection wavelength was 260 nm and the colunmn temperature was controlled at 30 °C. The linear range was 10.00-200.00 mg · L(-1) (r = 0.9994) for uracil, 10.10-202.00 mg · L(-1) (r = 0.9992) for uridine, 10.00-200.00 mg · L(-1) (r = 0.9991) for guanidine, 10.30-206.00 mg · L(-1) (r = 0.9992) for adenine and 10.45-209.00 mg · L(-1) (r = 0.9991) for adenosine, respectively. The RSD of precision was 0.032%, 0.035%, 0.039%, 0.049%, 0.00080%, respectively. The average recoveries of uracil, guanidine, adenine, and adenosine were 97.34%, 99.10%, 101.6%, 98.61% and 100.2% with RSD of 1.3%, 2.1%, 0.96%, 0.95%, and 1.3% respectively. The method showed high sensitivity, good selectivity, linearity and repeatability, which was suitable for the content analysis of 5 nucleosides components in P. hepialid and its extracts.

8. Mass spectrometry of serum polypeptides of Enterococcus faecium bloodstream infection in mice
Medical Journal of Chinese People's Liberation Army 2019;44(11):925-930
Objective To analyze the serum polypeptide fingerprints of Enterococcus faecium (E. faecium) bloodstream infection in mice at different time points using matrix assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-FOF MS), screen differential polypeptide peaks, and create a corresponding diagnostic model and look for new markers. Methods Ninety ICR mice were used to establish E. faecium bloodstream infection model (including 10 mice as normal control group with PBS injection, and 80 mice as the infection group with 1/2 LD50 E. faecium injection in a volume of 0.1 ml/10 g by the intravenous tail). Blood samples were collected at 8 time points (1, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, 96 and 128 h), and tested for IL-1α, IL-1β and IL-6 detection. Serum samples were then purified with weak cation magnetic beads, the serum polypeptide profiling was recognized by MALDI-TOF MS and BioExplorer software between infection group and normal control group. Amino acid sequences of the candidate polypeptides were identified by nano-liquid chromatography electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (nano-LC/ESI–MS/MS). Results After infected with E. faecium, the mice showed abnormal behaviors compared with the normal control group, including listless and reduced activity; IL-1α was down-regulated, while IL-1β and IL-6 were up-regulated. A total of 102 polypeptide peaks were detected by fingerprints analysis. Screening on the basis of 5 times difference in content in both infection group and control group, 8 polypeptides were higher in infection group than those in control group (P<0.01), and 9 polypeptides were lower in infection group than those in control group (P<0.01). Combining five polypeptide peaks of m/z 1227.4, 1512.9, 4509.7, 5007.3 and 7816.7, the corresponding diagnostic model was established with accuracy rate of 80%, specificity of 76.6% and sensitivity of 83.3%. Identified by secondary mass spectrometry, polypeptide peaks m/z 1227.4 and 5007.3 were the fragment of β2microglobulin and complement C3, respectively. Conclusions MALDI-TOF MS combined with BioExplorer software, when used as a new method to study the E. faecium bloodstream infection, may find the differential polypeptides between infection group and control group, and can effectively establish a diagnostic model of bloodstream infection. β2-microglobulin and complement C3 are expected to become the new biomarkers for auxiliary diagnosis of bacterial bloodstream infection.

Journal of Chinese Physician 2014;(4):479-481
Objective To investigate the change of plasma cholinesterases (CHEs) in the people with diabetes or fatty liver or overweight , and explore the role of CHE in these diseases .Methods The plasma CHEs in 2834 subjects were detected , and these subjects were divided into five groups , including diabetes , fatty liver , overweight , diabetes with fatty liver , and the normal groups . Results The plasma CHE activities in diabetes group , fatty liver group , overweight group , and diabetes with fatty liver group were all higher than the normal group [(8943 ±1896)U/L, (9716 ±1673)U/L, (8798 ±1710)U/L, (9385 ±1687)U/L vs (8028 ±1621) U/L], and the CHE level in the fatty liver group was highest among five groups .However, the CHE level in diabetes group or fatty liv-er group was not significantly different from that in the diabetes with fatty liver group .The CHE level of the people with components of metabolic syndrome (MS) was significantly higher than that without MS component [(8786 ±1514)U/L, (9141 ±1771)U/L, (9705 ±1628)U/L, (9138 ±1768)U/L, (9530 ±1607)U/L vs (7821 ±1324)U/L]),but the CHE level was not increased gradually with the increased MS component. The plasma CHE had a negative correlation with age ( P =0.00),but it had a positive correlation with triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), and body mass index (BMI)( P =0.00).Conclusions The plasma CHE activity was el-evated in diabetes group , fatty liver group , and overweight group , which might be a risk factor in these diseases .Controlling the plas-ma CHE might help to treat the metabolism diseases .
