1.Some epidemiologic factors in psoriasis
Journal of Practical Medicine 2004;471(1):47-51
From March 1999 to August 2000, 134 psoriasis patients were admitted in the Institute of Dermatological cases. Among then, male patients were 2,4 times higher than female, more concentrated at the age of 20-60 years old, with the age of onset from 20 to 40 years old and 7,46% had the family history of psoriasis, 35,8% had got the history of various chronical diseases and 23,1% had used the alcohol. The itching medicaments should be used in combining with sedative systemic corticosteroides were not recommended.

2.Emergency treatment of bronchial rupture due to trauma
Journal Ho Chi Minh Medical 2004;8(1):17-21
From January 2002 to November 2003 in the Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgical department of Cho Ray hospital, 12 cases of bronchial rupture were operated. The causes of trauma were trafic accidents or working accidents. Male: 10 cases, female: 2 cases. Indications of thoracotomy were: persistence of massive pneumothorax, ineffective drainage, atelectasis, confirmation of bronchial lesions from flexible bronchoscopy before operation 10 cases, 2 other cases performed during operation (with different thoracotomy indications: massive hemopneumothorax: 1 case, large open thoracic wound because of falling: 1 case). Procedure: direct suture of bronchial rupture: 9 cases, main bronchus repair: 1 case, lobectomy: 2 cases. Complications were respiratory failure: 3 cases, pneumonia: 1 case. Death: 2 cases due to respiratory failure, pneumonia, empyema, septicemia

3.The relation between clinic, paraclinic manifestations and the decrease of TCD4 number in HIV/AIDS patients
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;469(12):19-21
In 275 patients with HIV/AIDS in Hanoi, the reduce of TCD4 count was studied. The patients whose TCD4 count reduced seriously, the incidence of occupational infection increased, AIDS incidence enhanced while body mass index and Karnofsky mark decreased, red blood count, hemoglobine level, platelet count, number of TCD8, TCD3, TCD4/TCD8 ratio, TCD4/TCD3 ratio reduced while creatinine concentration, SGOT levels, SGPT level, total bilirubine and TCd8/TCD3 ratio enhanced

4.Immuno IG and C3 complement residue in skin tissue of psoriasis patients
Journal of Practical Medicine 2003;469(12):47-50
The study was carried out on 27 patients with psoriasis and 9 heatlhy volunteers. Results showed no difference between IgA residues in various skin tissues of psoriasis patients. There is an increase of IgM residue in psoriasis lesions, but in healthy subjects there is not. In the lesions after the treatment and in the tissue without sporiasis, IgM residue is less than in the lesions before treatment. There is an increase of IgG residue in the lesion but in healthy skin there is not. IgG residue in healthy skin is less than in psoriasis. After the treatment, in psoriasis skin lesion, IgG is reduced slowly in comparing with that before the treatment C3 complement residue in the lesions is more than in healthy skin

5.Clinical and laboratory symptoms in non-AIDS patients with HIV infection
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;501(1):46-48
The study involved 197 non-AIDS patients with HIV infection treated in the Infectious Department of Dong Da Hospital, Ha Noi City showed that clinical features were poor. The common symptoms were enlarge nodules (28.4%), itching (8.6%), diarrhea lasted more than 1 month (8.1%), oral-throat candida infection (7.6%), recurrence of zona (6.6%). Habitus and working ability of patients were less affected. Most of hematological and bio-chemical test findings of patients in nomal range, except decreasing haemoglobin in 48.7% patients. Immune response was disordered. This opposited to poor clinical symptoms of disease. The number of TCD4 reduced lightly and moderately in 65% patients, the number of TCD8 increased in 78.7% patients and TCD4/TCD8 ratio reduced in 98% patients

6.Study on clinical and laboratory symptoms in AIDS patients before death
Journal of Practical Medicine 2005;503(2):18-20
A cross-sectional survey was carried out on 29 patients with AIDS before death at Dong Da hospital. Two common opportunity infections were tuberculosis (44.8%), Candida infections (10.4%). There was a rather high rate of patient died in condition of fever, diarrhea, weight loss (24.1%) or unknown reason pneumonia (10.4%). Tests indicated several hematological, biochemical and immune disorders: hematocrite level reduced in 100% patients, SGOT increased in 44% patients, SGPT increase in 32% patients, the number of TCD4 reduce under 200 TB/mm3 in 96.6% patients

7.Liquidation of the hospital bursar according to the health service cost - A potential risk
Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Information 2001;(10):5-8
The Vietnam Health Insurance was deploying the pilot method of liquidation and separating the hospital bursar for patients with the health insurance from the regulation of partial liquidation of hospital bursar, i.e from the liquidation according to the health service cost. It means that there must be the adjustment and correction of the regulations of government about the partial collection of the hospital bursar and liquidation mechanism of the health insurance budget

8.Overview of the antineoplasic agents having vegetal origin
Pharmaceutical Journal 1999;282(10):7-8
Nature has been a source of medical treatments for thousands of years, and plant based systems continue to play an essential role in the primary health care of 80% of the world’ population. Nature has provided many of the effective anticancer agents in current use, such as the microbial derived drugs, dactinomycin, bleomycin, and doxorubicin, and the plant derived drugs vinblastine, irinotecan, topotecan, etoposide and paclitaxel. The search for novel anti-cancer from nature source continues with botanists, marine biologists and microbiologist team-ing up with chemists, pharmacologist, toxicologists and clinicans in the investigation of coral reefs, rain forests, and deep subsurface thermal vents for novel bioactive compounds. The wealth of anticancer drugs of nature origin and critical aspects of the ongoing discovery and development process are discussed.

9.Preliminary study on antimitotic effects of some medicinal plants utilized for treatment of cancer according to the people's experiments
Pharmaceutical Journal 1999;282(10):6-7
In Vietnam, some medicinal plants have been administrated for cancer treatment. But those medicinal plants have only been used based on experiences and their actual anticancer efficacy have not been proven yet. For that reason, studying to prove anticancer efficacy of those plants is very necessary. In 16 selected medicinal plants had been researched, there were 14 medicinal plants having effect on anti cellular division rate on schizogenous tissue of raphanus sativus L. higher than 50%. They were agave americana L., acanthopanax aculeatus seem, angelica decursiva (Miq) Fr.et Sav., spilanthes acmella (L.) Murr., garcinia cambodgiensis vesque, gleditsia australis hemsl, hippeastrum equestre (Ait.) herb., grium sp. (X2, X3, X4), amarathus tricolor L. and allium sativum L..

10.Situation of the main communicable diseases in VietNam, 1991-2000
Journal of Preventive Medicine 2000;10(4):8-12
During 10 years from 1991-2000, the main communicable diseases are still existing as an important health problem in Vietnam. However, the trend has changed, particularly for vaccine preventable diseases. Poliomyelitis was eradicated by the year 2000. Neonatal tetanus has decreased below 1/1000 live births at the district level, therefore, it was eliminated in Vietnam. Pertussis has diminished under 0.4/100,000 population since 1994. Japanese encephalitis (JE) has been controlled in some districts where coverage of JE vaccineation was high. Cholera still occurs in Vietnam, but the morbidity rate has decreased under 0.85/100,000 inhabitants since 1996. Plague happens in the Central, Southern and High Plataeux region, but the number of cases and deaths have dramatically decreased
