Objective To investigate the pathologic base of breast cancer malignant halo. Methods The status of margin of 80 cases confirmed breast nonspecific invasive ductal cancer by pathology were determined preoperatively.80 cases were divided into two groups:malignant halo group and non malignant halo group. The estrogen receptor (ER),progesterone receptor (PR),human endothelial growth factor receptor (CerB-2),nuclear protein antibodies (Ki-67) expression were detected by immunohistochemical method. The histological grade, mitotic count and documented tumor size, patient age and the number of lymph node metastases, breast cancer margin on pathology were observed.Halo tissue were drawn from specimens and the tissue structure were observed. Results Ki-67 expression in malignant halo group were significantly lower than those in non malignant halo group. The observing results of the margin status of breast cancer on ultrasound and pathology were consistent.Halo tissue was mainly composed of fatty tissue and scattered clumps of cancerous tissue, fibrous tissue, normal lobular and tubular. Conclusions Malignant halo is a special manifestation of breast cancer on gray-scale ultrasound.

Objective To explore the difference of normal breast artery feeding pattern between benign and malignant breast neoplasms with color Doppler flow imaging (CDFI).Methods CDFI were performed for 248 cases breast neoplasms confirmed by pathology.Spatial location were observed between normal breast arteries and breast neoplasms. The difference of breast artery feeding pattern was compared between benign and malignant breast neoplasms.Resnlts CDFI showed that penetrating vessels, branches of penetrating vessels, branches of direct vessels and central large vessels were characteristic breast cancer vascular distribution patterns, which were completely different from that of breast benign neoplasms. Conclusions The patterns of breast artery feeding breast cancer were different from that of breast benign neoplasms, that can identify both.

Objective To evaluate the effects of simvastatin on the vascular elasticitv in fat-fed rabbits by echo-tracking(ET)technique.Methods Twenty seven rabbits were divided randomly into 3 groups:normal control group(group A),high fat diet group(group B),simvastatin group(group C:high fat diet for the 1st 4 weeks and high fat diet+simvastatin for the 2nd 4 weeks).β,EP,AC,and PWVβof abdominal aorta (AO) and femoral artery(FA)of rabbits in group A、B、C were measured by ET technique at the end of 4th week and 8th week respectively. The expression of iNOS was measured at the end of 8th week. Results At the end of the 4th week,β,Ep,and PWVβ of FA were significantly inereased and AC was significantly decreased in group B compared to those in group A(P<0.05).At the end of the 8th week,β,Ep,PWVβof AO were significantly increased and AC was significantly decreased in group B compared to those in group A(P<0.05);β,Ep,PWVβ of FA were statistically decreased and AC was statistically increased in group C compared to those in group B(P<0.05),however there was no significant difference of AO between groups B and C.Conclusions Short-term administration of simvastatin can improve the elasticity of some muscular arteries such as FA but not AO.

Thyroid nodule is a common diseases of neck, which property is usually identified by ultrasound examination.Color doppler ultrasonography can reflect the distribution of blood vessels and blood flow within the nodules. And with development of new technologies,three-dimensional ultrasound increase the accuracy of identification.Three-dimension power doppler ultrasound (3D-PDUS) can reflect blood flow information within the nodule space, which is more accurate than two-dimensional ultrasound and it can be used to evaluate the blood flow in nodules qualitatively and quantitatively, provide a new reference for clinical diagnosis of thyroid nodule.

Ultrasonography can clearly show pelvic anatomic structures,as well as the location and length of mesh after pelvic floor reconstructive operation. The consistency of ultrasonic diagnosis of severe pelvic organ prolapse with pelvic organ prolapse quantitation is good.Furthermore, ultrasonography can provide imaging basis for evaluating the safety and efficacy of pelvic floor reconstruction. The progresses of ultrasound in diagnosis of severe pelvic organ prolapse and postoperative evaluation of pelvic floor reconstruction were reviewed in this article.

Objective To explore the diagnostic value of comparing enhanced transvaginal ultrasound (E-TVS),none enhanced transvaginal ultrasound (TVS),and transrectal ultrasound (TRS) in preoperative detection of deep infiltrating endometriosis (DIE) in the rectosigmoid by Meta-analysis.Methods The literatures published from January 1990 to June 2016 were searched. The information of literatures were selected and evaluated. The included data was statistically analyzed by Meta-disc 1.4 software. Results Totally 25 literatures were enrolled. The pooled sensitivity, specificity, positive likelihood ratio, negative likelihood ratio, diagnostic odds ratio were 0.92,0.96,16.64,0.09,227.95 for E-TVS,0.83,0.97,16.95,0.17,112.97 for TVS,0.94,0.96,14.43,0.08,208.72 for TRS,respectively.Area under the curve were 0.980 4,0.966 3,0.979 0,respectively.Conclusion Diagnostic value of the three ultrasonography in preoperative detection of DIE in the rectosigmoid are E-TVS,TRS,TVS.E-TVS can be used as the preferred method of ultrasonic diagnosis of DIE in the rectosigmoid.

Objective To explore the effect of exogenous hormones on the pelvic floor function in delivery of term pregnancy using transvaginal 3D ultrasound. Methods Ninety puerperae delivered transvaginally were classified into three groups according to exogenous hormones, natural labor group (n =30),oxytocin group (n =30) and prostaglandin E2 group (n=30).Hiatal diameter and area at resting,Valsalva, levator ani muscle maximum contraction states were obtained in hiatal images and were compared among 3 groups in 42 days postpartum. Results There were no significant differences of hiatal diameter and area at resting,Valsalva, levator ani muscle maximum contraction state between natural labor group and oxytocin group (all P>0.05).There were significant differences of hiatal diameter and area at resting,Valsalva, levator ani muscle maximum contraction state between prostaglandin E2 group and natural labor group, oxytocin group (all P <0.05).Conclusion Different exogenous hormones have different effects on the pelvic floor function in delivery of term pregnancy. The injury of the pelvic floor of using prostaglandin E2 is bigger than natural labor and using oxytocin. And the use of exogenous oxytocin is not significant correlated with pelvic floor function injury.

Objective To explore the effect of different delivering methods on the pelvic floor function in vaginal delivery by transvaginal three-dimensional ultrasound. Methods Eighty-four patients delivered transvaginal were classified into three groups according to the mode of delivery (perineal integrity group [n=32],episiotomy group [n=30] and forceps delivery group [n=22]).The hiatal images at resting,Valsalva, levator ani muscle maximum contraction were obtained and compared in three groups. Results There were no differences between perineal integrity group and episiotomy group in hiatal diameter and area (P>0.05).There were significantly differences between perineal integrity group and forceps delivery group in hiatal diameter, area and change in hiatal area from rest to pelvic floor muscle contraction and from rest to Valsalva (all P<0.05).Conclusion The injury of the pelvic floor of forceps delivery group is bigger than perineal integrity. And episiotomy is no significant difference with pelvic floor function injury.
