3.Experimental study on the glutamine's intervention effect on the opening of permeability transition pore in myocardial mitochondrial membrane.
Chinese Journal of Applied Physiology 2012;28(1):34-37
OBJECTIVETo explore the intervention effect and the possibly mechanism of the glutamine (Gln) on the opening change of the permeability transition pore (PTP) in the myocardial mitochondrial membrane under the overtraining state.
METHODS30 SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups (n = 10): control group (CG group), overtraining group (OG group) and supplementary (Gln) + overtraining group group). Spectrophotometry was used to test the openness of the permeability transition pore in the myocardial mitochondrial membrane. Electrochemistry was used to test the malondialdehyde (MDA) and the glutathione (GSH) content and the phospholipase A2 (PLA2) activity.
RESULTSOG group compared with the GOG group, the absorbance (A0) and the absorbance change (Delta A) were decreased significantly (P < 0.05). Rh123 fluorescence (F0) intensity was significantly increased (P < 0.05). Rhodamine123 (Rh123) fluorescence change (delta F) was significantly decreased (P < 0.05). Compared with the GOG, the mitochondrial GSH was significantly decreased (P < 0.05), the PLA2 activity and the content of MDA were significantly increased (P <0.05).
CONCLUSIONOvertraining could lead to opening increase of permeability transition pore in the myocardial mitochondrial membrane, after overtraining, the production of the reactive oxygen species (ROS) and PLA2 activity were increased, GSH content was decreased. But added exogenous Gln had a significant intervention effect for these changes.

Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation 2015;36(2):97-101
Objective To systemically evaluate the accuracy of CT and MR estimating whole liver volume with evidence based medicine methods.Method Published papers about whole liver volume estimation with CT or MR modality were searched in Cochrane library,MEDLINE,EMBASE,CMBdisc(China biology medicine disc) for English and Chinese abstracts.Inclusion criteria were formulated according to validity criteria for diagnostic research published by the Cochrane collaboration.Heterogeneity test of extracted data of Eligible papers was performed first to determine the appropriate statistical model used to pool the result. Finally, sensitivity and publish bias analysis was performed.Result Seventeen articles with 37 studies including 351 patients met the inclusion criteria. There was no heterogeneity between included studies (I2 =0%,Q =5.85,P =1).Fixed effect model was selected for the meta analysis and there was no statistically significant difference between true and radiological estimated whole liver volume (WMD =21.61 mL,95% confidence interval:-6.33-49.57 mL,z =1.51,P =0.13).Sensitivity analysis revealed the result was robust which was not affected by excluding any of the included studies.Funnel plot and publish bias analysis showed no publish bias (t =-1.55,P=0.13).Conclusion CT and MR volume estimation is accurate for liver volume measurement, which provides important information for preoperative evaluation, postoperative monitoring and follow-up studies of other hepatic pathologies.aximum benefit to patients.

Chinese Journal of Medical Instrumentation 2002;26(2):108-111
It is always very difficult to process the bioelectrical signals, sampling, amplifying and quantifying because of the different sources it comes from and the mechanism it depends on. This paper mainly introduces a method of measuring the peak value of bioelectrical signals, expatiates on the structure, testing result, analysis for error and measure taken for improvement of the circuit designed by this method. At last, the paper also points out that the method is wonderful, simple, easy to carry out, and can be used in many medical systems.

8.The relationship between apolipoprotein E genotype and hypertriglyceridemia-associated recurrent acute pancreatitis.
Chinese Journal of Surgery 2008;46(20):1579-1582
OBJECTIVETo explore the relationship of apolipoprotein E (ApoE) genotype with hypertriglyceridemia-associated recurrent acute pancreatitis.
METHODSTaking the fasting serum triglyceride (TG) level > or = 2.3 mmol/L as hypertriglyceridemia, ApoE genotypes in 115 patients with hypertriglyceridemia-associated recurrent acute pancreatitis were assessed by polymerase chain reaction. According to the fasting serum TG level, all patients were divided into 3 groups: TG mild elevation group (2.3 mmol/L < or = TG < 5.5 mmol/L, Group A), TG moderate elevation group (5.5 mmol/L < or = TG < 11.3 mmol/L, Group B), and TG severe elevation group (TG > or = 11.3 mmol/L, Group C).
RESULTSGroup C had significantly fewer patients with biliary tract disease, improper diet and heavy alcohol consumption, and significantly more patients with passed history of moderate-severe hypertriglyceridemia than Group A and B (P < 0.05). The proportion of patients with E3/4, E3/2, E2/4 and E2/2 genotypes and gene frequency for epsilon 2 and epsilon 4 alleles are significantly higher in Group C than in Group A and B(P < 0.05). Group B had significantly more patients with E3/2 genotype and higher gene frequency for epsilon 2 allele than Group A (P < 0.05).
CONCLUSIONSApo epsilon 2 and epsilon 4 alleles are closely related to moderate-severe hypertriglyceridemia-associated recurrent acute pancreatitis.

Chinese Journal of Experimental and Clinical Virology 2008;22(2):127-129
Objective To investigate the characteristics of seroconversion of HBV NAT screening-positive crowd from blood donors in Dongguan city and provide reference for the safety of blood transfution and disease prevention. Methods With retrospective survey, Nucleic acid testing (NAT) was used to analyze 28 800 HBsAg-negative samples by ELISA from blood donors in Dongguan city from August, 2006 to August, 2007 with Roche Cobas AmpliScreen systems; and follow-up research including NAT for HBV-DNA, ELISA for HBsAg and multiple factors analysis for HBV infection was carried out on HBV NAT screening-positive crowd. Results 10 positive poolings were screened from 28 800 samples; after further detection, 2 of these positive poolings were HBV-DNA negative and 8 HBV-DNA positive samples were found. The 10-week follow-up resesrch on these 8 blood donors showed that6 were HBV-DNA positive and HBsAg-negative at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks respectively, 1 wasn't HBsAg positive until 2 weeks and was positive on follow-up, and considered in "window period", 1 was HBV-DNA negative, HBsAg-negative on follow-up. Of these 8,7 were not only migrant labors with poor condition of work, life and health but also in high risk of secondary infection for HBV, in additon they had little idea of therapy or prevention measures of HBV infection and the other 1 was HBV-DNA negative, HBsAg-negative on follow-up, who was in better condition than the above 7 donors. Conclusion NAT is more sensitive than ELISA in screening HBV, but the probability of being false positive of NAT can not be ignored at the same time. On the hand, only screening HBsAg for HBV is relative limitation in high infection region of China. Some factors would have effect on the serum conversion of blood donors including the quality of work and life, therapy or prevention measures.
