BACKGROUND:Posterior cervical open-door expansive laminoplasty is one of the simple and effective methods to treat cervical spinal diseases, has satisfactory results but low complications. However, the imbalance of sagittal plan, loss of lordosis or axial pain is often reported recently. OBJECTVE:To analyze the correlation between cervical sagittal alignment and clinical outcomes after laminoplasty. METHODS:Between January 2011 and June 2015, 122 cases of cervical spinal disease, who were treated with open-door expansive laminoplasty with mini-titanium plate, were retrospectively analyzed. Clinical outcomes were evaluated by Japanese Orthopaedic Association, Neck Disability Index and Visual Analogue Scale. Radiographic results were assessed by C2-7 Cobb angle, C2-7 sagittal vertical axis and C7 slope. The correlation between sagittal alignment and clinical outcomes were analyzed. RESULTS AND CONCLUSION:(1) Al patients were fol owed up for 7-32 months. (2) Japanese Orthopaedic Association, Neck Disability Index and Visual Analogue Scale scores were improved in the final fol ow-up (al P<0.001). No significant difference in upper limb Visual Analogue Scale scores was determined (P=0.142). In the final fol ow-up, C2-7 sagittal vertical axis increased (P=0.036), but neither the C2-7 Cobb angle nor the C7 slope significantly changed (P=0.092, P=0.184). (3) There were no correlations between sagittal alignment parameters (C2-7 Cobb angle, C2-7 sagittal vertical axis and C7 slope) and clinical outcomes (Japanese Orthopaedic Association, Neck Disability Index and Visual Analogue Scale) (al P>0.05). (4) These findings indicated that posterior cervical open-door expansive laminoplasty with mini-titanium plate can significantly improve the neurological function of patients. However, there is no correlation between cervical sagittal alignment and clinical outcomes.

Objective:To study the technical operation of self-developed investment (FUS-invest) for titanium crown and bridge. Methods:Orthogonal design was done. Four factors were taken into account, i.e. water/powder ratio, adhesive/hardener ratio, fine powder proportion in refractory and agitation time. And each factor was ranked into three levels. Slurry fluidity, initial setting time and setting time of every experiment group were studied. Grain size graduation of the best group was measured. Results:Fluidity, initial setting time and setting time were most greatly affected by water/powder ratio and secondly by fine powder proportion in refractory. When water/powder ratio was 7.5∶1 and the content of fine powder was 35%, slurry fluidity was better and initial setting time and setting time were appropriate. When the content of fine powder of AFS fineness number 300 was 31.31%, fineness number 100 was (40.09%), fineness number 70 was 18.05% and adhesive/hardness ratio was 200∶1, the perfect titanium castings could be fabricated. Conclution:The best rules of technical operation for perfect titanium castings are water/powder ratio (7.5)∶1, the content of fine powder 35% and adhesive/hardener ratio 200∶1.

Objective To detect the B cell epitopes of human MCHR1 recognized by serum autoantibodies in patients with vitiligo. Methods The DNA encoding antigen fragments of MCHR1 from amino acid (aa) 1 to 94 were amplified from pcDNA3/MCHR1 by PCR and inserted into the vector pGEX-4T-1. After identification, the recombinant plasmid pGEX-4T-1/MCHR1 was transfected into E. coli for fusion protein production which was purified by GST agarose affinity chromatography later. The sera from 38 vitiligo patients were examined for MCHR1 antibodies by enzyme-linked immunoabsorbent assay. Results Amino acids (aa) 1 to 94 of MCHR1 which most possibly included in B cell epitopes were selected to express. The recombinant plasmid pGEX-4T /MCHR1 was confirmed by sequence analysis. SDS-PAGE showed that a Mr 37 kD fusion protein was expressed by E.coli. Of the sera from vitiligo patients examined by ELISA, 5 of 38 were considered positive for MCHR1 antibody. Conclusion There are B cell epitopes in amino acids(aa) 1 to 94 of MCHR1 which can be recognized by antibodies from vitiligo patients.

Our earlier research has shown that mono-substituted N-phenyl-2, 2-dichloroacetamide exhibited much higher anti-cancer activity than the lead compound sodium dichloroacetate (DCA). In this paper, a variety of multi-substituted N-phenyl-2, 2-dichloroacetamides were synthesized and biologically evaluated. The results showed that 3, 5-disubstituted N-phenyl-2, 2-dichloroacetamide analogues had satisfactory potency. Among them, N-(3, 5-diiodophenyl)-2, 2-dichloroacetamide had an IC50 of 2.84 micromol x L(-1) against non-small cell lung cancer cell line A549 and could induce cancer cell apoptosis.
