1.Data Mining of Regularities and Rules of Compound Herbal Formulae for Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease

Objective To explore the regularities and rules of compound herbal formulae for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).Methods Compound herbal formulae on NAFLD published in journals of CNKI (1979.1-2014.1), VIP (1989.1-2014.1) and CBMdisc (1979.1-2014.1) were analyzed with association rule, frequency analysis and cluster analysis.Results In 107 prescriptions, 179 herbs were involved, and frequency of usage of those herbs was 1499. A cluster analysis was used to analyze 37 herbs with high frequency (≥10) of usage, which were classified into 9 clusters including promoting circulation, clearing heat herb, diuretic herb, food stagnation herb, regulating qi herb, phlegm-resolving herb, qi tonics herb, yin-nourishing herb, qi-activating herb and purgating herb. 30 pairs of herbs and 33 rules for NAFLD were obtained by association rule analysis.Conclusion It was a point of view to understand the regularities and rules of Chinese herb prescription on NAFLD by data mining.
2.Predictive value of abnormal ECG J wave for short-term prognosis in patients with acute ST-segment el- evation myocardial infarction

Objective:To explore the relationship between abnormal ECG J wave and in‐hospital prognosis in patients with acute ST -segment elevation myocardial infarction (ASTEMI) .Methods :ECG and related clinical data of 204 ASTEMI patients ,who received emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in our hospital from Jan 2007 to Dec 2012 ,were retrospectively analyzed .According to the presence of abnormal J wave or not ,patients were di‐vided into abnormal J wave group (n= 82 ,occupied 40.2% ,82/204) and no abnormal J wave group (n= 122 , 59.8% ,122/204) .Single‐and multiple‐factor Logistic regression analysis were used to analyze risk factors of in -hospital death .Results:During hospitalization ,incidence rate of sustained ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation in pa‐tients with abnormal ECG J waves was significantly higher than those without abnormal J waves (9.8% vs .1.6% , P=0.008) , but among the 12 cases (5.9% ) of cardiac deaths ,only six cases had abnormal J waves .Logistic regres‐sion analysis indicated that abnormal ECG J wave cannot predict in‐hospital death of ASTEMI patients (OR=0.99 , 95% CI :0.34~ 2.90 , P= 0.987) ,while age can be regarded as an independent predictor factor for in‐hospital prognosis of these patients (OR = 1.08 ,95% CI :1.01 ~ 1.15 , P= 0.02) .Conclusion:For ASTEMI patients , though the incidence rate of sustained ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation in abnormal J wave group is significantly higher than those of without abnormal J waves group during hospitalization ,but abnormal ECG J waves cannot pre‐dict short-term prognosis of these patients .

Objective:To explore the predictive value of abnormal ECG J waves for arrhythmias occurred during short term in patients with acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (ASTEMI ) .Methods :ECG and echocardio‐graphic monitoring recordings of 204 ASTEMI patients who received emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in our hospital from Jan 2007 to Dec 2012 were retrospectively analyzed .Univariate and multivariate Logistic regression analyses were performed to analyze the influencing factors of arrhythmias within one week after myocar‐dial infarction .Results:Abnormal J waves detected by ECG were found in 82 cases (40.2% ) among the 204 pa‐tients ,most of which were distributed on inferior leads of ECG .Multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that abnormal J waves (OR=14.05 , P=0.01 ,95% CI 1.70~116.40) ,J waves distributed across ≥ two locations (OR=13.38 ,P=0.01 ,95% CI 1.53~38.68) and J wave amplitude≥0.2 mV (OR=4.28 ,P=0.02 ,95% CI 1.82~16.72) were independent predictors for sustained ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation (VT/VF) ,but they cannot be used as predictors for occurrence of all ventricular arrhythmias ,including non‐sustained VT ,sustained VT and VF (P>0.05 all) ,nor the occurrence of atrial arrhythmias , P>0.05 all .Multivariate Logistic regression analysis indicated that diabetes mellitus was an independent predictor for occurrence of ≥30s atrial tachycardia/fibrillation in ASTEMI patients (OR=2.29 ,P=0.047 ,95% CI 1.01~5.18) .Conclusion:Abnormal ECG J wave is an inde‐pendent predictor for occurrence of sustained ventricular tachycardia/fibrillation during short term after ASTEMI .
4.Plaque accumulation at the fitting surface and cleaning status in patients with full-arch implant-supported fixed prostheses: a cross sectional study

Objective:To observe the plaque accumulation at the fitting surface and oral hygiene status in patients with full-arch implant-supported fixed prostheses, and explore the possible influencing factors.Methods:Twenty-eight patients [17 males and 11 females, (63.0± 10.8) years old] with 40 full-arch implant-supported fixed prostheses (18 maxillary and 22 mandibular) were collected from January 2012 to September 2020 in Department of Implantology, Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology. Plaque accumulation at the fitting surfaces were evaluated during the follow-up visit after 6 months following definitive prostheses delivery, by analyzing the digital photographs recorded by ImageJ. Meanwhile, the cleanliness of the fitting surface of prostheses and oral hygiene status were recorded. The oral hygiene habits and the patients′ satisfaction with the prostheses were investigated by questionnaire, and the difference of plaque accumulation between different cleaning habits of dentures were compared.Results:The debris index of the fitting surface of the 40 full-arch implant-supported fixed prostheses were 3.28±0.75, and the percentage of area covered with plaque was (51.6±19.0)%. The debris index and plaque accumulation of the mandibular prostheses were significantly higher than that of the maxillary prostheses ( P<0.05). In most mandibular prostheses (16/22), calculus was attached to the lingual side of the anterior tooth area. The reserved cleaning space of the restoration showed more plaque accumulation than in other parts. There was no significant difference in the percentage of area covered with plaque between groups with different cleaning habits. The satisfaction survey results indicated the "clean" project had a lowest score. Conclusions:The cleanliness of patients with full-arch implant-supported fixed prostheses was poor, and the hygiene status of the mandibular prostheses was worse than that of maxillary, especially in the anterior tooth area of mandibular prostheses. The influence of different cleaning habits on plaque accumulation was not observed.
5.Oral microbiomes: more and more importance in oral cavity and whole body.

Microbes appear in every corner of human life, and microbes affect every aspect of human life. The human oral cavity contains a number of different habitats. Synergy and interaction of variable oral microorganisms help human body against invasion of undesirable stimulation outside. However, imbalance of microbial flora contributes to oral diseases and systemic diseases. Oral microbiomes play an important role in the human microbial community and human health. The use of recently developed molecular methods has greatly expanded our knowledge of the composition and function of the oral microbiome in health and disease. Studies in oral microbiomes and their interactions with microbiomes in variable body sites and variable health condition are critical in our cognition of our body and how to make effect on human health improvement.

6.Implant-supported fixed full-arch prostheses on oral health-related quality of life and denture satisfaction

Objective:To assess the longitudinal changes in oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL) and the denture satisfaction of immediate rehabilitation by implant-supported full-arch prostheses in patients of the edentulous and potential edentulous jaws.Methods:Patients in the Department of Implantology, Peking University School and Hospital of Stomatology from April 2008 to November 2020 were enrolled in the study. The treatment group (TG) consisted of 73 patients who had been treated with immediate rehabilitation by using implant-supported full-arch prostheses while the control group (CG) consisted of 31 patients who would be treated with immediate rehabilitation of implant-supported full-arch prostheses. The mean age of the patients in the treatment group was (57.5±11.1) years (ranged 31-79) and the average follow-up duration was 5.5±2.9 years (ranged 1-12). The OHRQL ratings were collected using oral health impact profile-20 (OHIP-20) and the visual analogue scales (VAS) was used to assess the denture satisfaction including stability, aesthetics, mastication, ease of cleaning, speaking and general satisfaction. Independent t-test, Mann-Whitney U-test and locally weighted scatterplot smoothing were applied for data analysis. Results:The cumulative survival rate (CSR) of the implants was 97.6% (450/461). The CSR of the prostheses was 93.3% (98/105). The average peri-implant marginal bone loss (MBL) was (0.8±0.4) mm and (1.2±0.6) mm after 1 and 5 years, respectively. The mean OHIP-20 total scores of TG and CG were 5(7) and 32.9±12.6, respectively, which had statistical difference between the two groups ( P<0.001). The general satisfaction in the TG was 95.0(10.0), while the higher scores were for chewing [100.0(7.5)] stability [100.0(10.0)] and esthetics [100.0(10.0)] and the lower scores were for ease of cleaning [85.0(25.0)] and speaking ability [100.0(12.5)]. With prolonged follow-up, the total OHIP-20 score decreased significantly at first and then remained stable with minor fluctuations. Conclusions:Based on the present study, immediate rehabilitation with implant-supported full-arch prostheses was a feasible treatment program that had a long-term positive impact on OHRQoL, provided strong psychological and sociological support to the patients and restored the chewing and speech functions effectively.
