Acta Nutrimenta Sinica 2004;0(05):-
Objective:To study the anti-inflammatory effect of immune milk. Method:Twenty four strains of pathogenic bacteria (including 12 strains of pathogenic E.coli, 8 strains of Salmonella, 3 strains of Shigella and 1 strain of Yersinia enterocolitica) originated from human intestinal tract were selected as antigens, and dairy cows were immunized. Results:Vaccination could not increase the concentration of IgG in the immune milk, but significantly highten the specificity of milk antibodies. The antibody titers against 24 pathogenic bacteria in immune milk was 128, 64 folds of control regular milk. Conclusion:Feeding of immune milk could inhibit edema of rat footpad induced by carrageenin and formaldehyde and the formation of acestoma of mice caused by cotton embedded hypophloedally. Meanwhile, the PGE2 level in inflammatory footpad of rat fed with immune milk was remarkably lower than that of rat fed with regular milk. These results indicate that immune milk has anti-inflammatory property.

45 strains of Lactobacillus were isolated from 17 samples of traditional fermented milk in Gobi region of Mongolia. Based on morphological, physiological, biochemistry test and 16S rDNA sequencing analysis, identified as 31 strains of Lactobacillus fermentum(L. fermentum), 12 strains of L. helveticus, one strain of L. plantarum and one strain of L. casei. Survival rate of IMAU20085 is 81.44% in the screening experiment of resistance to the artificial gastric juice (pH 3.0). The isolation and identification of these strains and the screening of high acid-tolerant strains have important meaning to the preservation and exploitation of probiotic resource.

The treatment rules of point selection and treatment principles for treating chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) can be divided into three categories: regulating and replenishing, invigorating original yang and regulating zang-fu organs. The mechanism of moxibustion includes improving gut microbiota imbalance, regulating immune cell imbalance and correcting endocrine dysfunction. The moxibustion methods include ginger-partitioned moxibustion, thunder-fire moxibustion, warm acupuncture, and governor moxibustion. Acupuncture points such as Shenque (RN8), Guanyuan (RN4), Qihai (RN6), Zusanli (ST36), Baihui (DU20), Yongquan (KI1) and back-shu points are often selected to exert anti-chronic fatigue effects.

OBJECTIVETo investigate the therapeutical effects of visfatin and metformin on insulin resistance and reproductive endocrine disorder in rats with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).
METHODSForty female Wistar rats were divided into 4 equal groups, and in groups A, B and C, the rats were injected subcutaneously with dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) for PCOS modeling, with group D as the blank control injected with soybean oil. Vaginal smears and serological testing were taken to assess the modeling. After the modeling, the rats in group A received 10 µg reorganized visfatin injection and those in group B were treated with metformin (14 mg/100 g) on a daily basis for 15 days. Serum levels of T, LH, FSH, FINS and blood glucose levels during OGTT were measured before and after the treatments, and HOMA-IR and LH to FSH ratio were calculated. The ovaries were then dissected for pathological examination.
RESULTSIn groups A and B, FINS, FPG, T, HOMA-IR and blood glucose levels during OGTT were significantly decreased after the treatments (P<0.05), which resulted in recovery of regular menses in 8 (80%) rats in group A and 7 (77.8%) rats in group B with the development of normal follicles. Visfatin and metformin produced equivalent therapeutic effects in improving the insulin resistance and hyperandrogenism in PCOS rats.
CONCLUSIONVisfatin and metformin have equivalent therapeutic effects in improving insulin resistance and hyperandrogenism and in promoting the recovery of regular menses and development of normal follicles in PCOS rats.

Chinese Journal of Experimental Traditional Medical Formulae 2022;28(14):179-185
Oligozoospermia and asthenospermia are common causes of clinical male infertility. The number of patients increases year by year and shows a younger trend. Its etiology is complex, the mechanism and unclear pathogenesis and rely on empirical therapy. Therefore, it is necessary for exploring the pathogenesis and developing corresponding drugs to establish reasonable animal models. By comparing different animal model making methods, this paper provides ideas for constructing a more standardized animal model of oligoasthenospermia. At the moment, a lot of molding methods for oligoasthenospermia are available. Combined with the animal experimental articles of oligoasthenospermia in recent years, this study described the modeling with adenine, ornidazole, tripterygium glycoside, hydrocortisone, cyclophosphamide, busulfan, paclitaxel, heat stress, ionizing radiation, high-fat diet, and gene knockout, respectively, and compared the modeling methods in terms of the time, indexes, animal line, and model evaluation. Thereby, the advantages and disadvantages of different models of oligoasthenospermia were summarized, and finds that the existing animal models of oligoasthenospermia still have many shortcomings that need to be further improved. The selection, standardization and innovation of animal models need to be solved urgently, and the coincidence between animal models and clinical patients' traditional Chinese medicine syndromes is not coincident. In view of the existing problems, we should further explore how to build a modeling method in line with clinical characteristics and syndrome types, select the compound model method of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, copy the model closer to the law of disease development and in line with traditional Chinese medicine syndrome, and provide animal experimental support for exploring the mechanism of disease, developing characteristic drugs and guiding clinical medication.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) external therapy for sleep disorder of chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) has good anti-fatigue effect and can improve sleep quality of patients. The treatment for sleep disorders of CFS with TCM external treatment mainly adopts acupuncture, moxibustion, massage, TCM bath, transcutaneous acupoint electrical stimulation and auricular point sticking, etc., or alone, or comprehensive application, or combined with oral Chinese materia medica. The appropriate treatment method can be selected according to the patients' condition and compliance, which reflects the unique advantages of TCM syndrome differentiation and treatment and the treatment according to people and time. The existing research still needs to further form a standardized and recognized diagnosis and treatment system, so as to better guide clinical popularization and application.
