The control meaurees and endemic situation were analysed in Dali Prefecture,Yunnan Province. The infection rates of population and livestock decreased from 6.42% and 3. 81% in 2004 to 0.07% and 0.15% in 2008, respectively. No infected snail and acute schistosomiasis case were discovered in 2008. The proportion of villages with serious endemic situation decreased from 49.42% in 2004 to 7.51% in 2008, and 92.48% of villages reached the criteria of transmission control or transmission interruption. The endemic situation and snail status of Dali Prefecture have decreased significantly after the implementation of the comprehensive control project, but the consolidation and enlargement of the control result still remains a challenge.

Percutaneous nephrostomy was applied in some other urologic diseases and the efficacy was evaluated. Percutaneous nephrostomy for percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PNL) was performed in patients with various renal, perinephric and bladder diseases (n=79). The tract establishment, operation duration and complications were observed and the efficacy was assessed. The results showed that the tracts were successfully established in 79 cases. The operation lasted 4-20 min. 12F-16F single tract was established in nephrohydrop patients and 16F-20F single or multiple tracts were established in patients with pyonephrosis, renal cortical abscess, renal cyst and perinephric abscess. During dilation, no leakage of liquor puris was noted. Establishment of 18F single tract was achieved in one urinoma patient. In two patients with foreign body in kidney, the foreign bodies were removed via established 14F single tract. 18F tracts were established in 2 patients with bladder contracture, which was followed by the placement of 16F balloon urethral catheter for drainage. No complications, such as massive bleeding, intestinal injury and spreading of infection took place in our series. All the patients were followed up for 2-12 months. No long-term complications such as dropping of drainage tube occurred. It is concluded that as a minimally invasive technique, percutaneous nephrostomy has the advantages of convenience, simplicity and causing less complications and can be used for various urologic diseases.

OBJECTIVE: To study the diterpenoid alkaloids in Aconitum carmichaeli from Guizhou province, and to provide reference for the further enrichment of chemical constituents of plants from the genus Aconitum and the development and utilization of A. carmichaeli from Guizhou province. METHODS: The root tuber of A. carmichaeli from Guizhou province was collected. The total alkaloids of A. carmichaeli roots were extracted by acid extraction and alkali precipitation method. The diterpenoid alkaloids were obtained by isolating and purifying total alkaloids extract with silica gel column chromatography. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated on the basis of NMR and MS analysis. RESULTS & CONCLUSIONS: Fifteen diterpenoid alkaloids, including 12-epi-15-O-acetyl-17-benzoyl-16-hydroxy-16,17-dihydronapelline(Ⅰ),songorine(Ⅱ),songoramine(Ⅲ),10-aconifine(Ⅳ),hypaconitine(Ⅴ),deoxyaconitine(Ⅵ),aconitine(Ⅶ),mesaconitine(Ⅷ),14-benzoyltalasamine(Ⅸ),talatisamine(Ⅹ),neoline(ⅩⅠ),6-epi-chasmanine(ⅩⅡ),isotalatizidine(ⅩⅢ),sachaconitine(ⅩⅣ)and kalakoline(ⅩⅤ) were identified form A. carmichaeli roots from Guizhou Province. Compounds Ⅸ and ⅩⅡ were isolated from this specie for the first time.
