Objective To investigate the relationship of lacunar infarction (LI) and white matter lesion with cognitive impairment in patients with subcortical ischemic vascular disease (SIVD) Methods Fifty-three patients were diagnosed as SIVD according to the criteria of Erkinjuntti. The symptoms and signs were recorded by an interview and examination, and neuropsychological assessment and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) were performed. A semi-automated MRI quantitative method was used to measure the volume of white matter hyperintensity (WMH) and the number of LI was counted. Correlation and the partial correlation analysis were performed to examine the relationship of general cognitive function with the volume of WMH and the number of LI. Results The pseudobulbar paralysis symptom and the upper motoneuron injury sign were the most common in these patients (18.9% and 37.7%). Correlation analysis showed that there was positive correlation between the volume of WMH and age (r = 0. 518, P < 0. 05), and there was negative correlcction between mini-metal state examination (MMSE) scures and the volume of WMH (r=-0.514, P<0. 05), After controlling confounding factors, only age was positively correlated with the volume of WMH (r=0. 400, P=0. 004). There were negative correlation between the number of LI, the volume of WMH and MMSE scores(r=-0. 456,-0. 514,-0. 385,-0. 382;all P<0. 05), and the years of education was positively correlated with MMSE scores (r= 0. 518, P< 0. 001). Conclusions Age may not be the main risk factor for cognitive impairment in patients with SIVD. The volume of WMH and the number of LI are independent risk factors for cognitive impairment in patients with SIVD. Patients with severer SIVD or more LI show poorer performance on cognitive function.

Journal of Southern Medical University 2013;33(5):772-775
OBJECTIVETo explore the association of fish intake with the risk of renal cancer.
METHODSPubMed, Embase, CNKI and CA databases were searched for case-control studies or cohort studies examining the relationship between fish or fish products intake and renal cancer. Heterogeneity among the selected studies was assessed using I2 score, and the publication bias was assessed using funnel plots.
RESULTSSeventeen articles were included in the analysis with a heterogeneity across the studies (P=0.003, I(2)=52.3%). A random-effects model was used to generate the pooled risk ratio (RR) and 95% confidence interval (CI), and no statistically significant association was found between the risk of renal cancer and fish intake (RR=0.90; 95% CI, 0.78-1.02). In subgroup analysis, no evidence was found that the study design, study region or publication date influenced the results; but in the gender subgroup analysis, fish intake we found to decrease the risk of renal cancer in men but not in women.
CONCLUSIONThe results of meta-analysis do not support an association between fish intake and a lowered risk of renal cancer.

Purpose To establish and validate an ultrasound-based radiomics nomogram for predicting ipsilateral axillary lymph node metastasis in stage T1 breast cancer.Materials and Methods 443 stage T1 breast cancer patients in the First Affiliated Hospital of Wannan Medical College from January 2012 to June 2021 were retrospectively collected. All patients were randomly divided into training(n=310)and validation(n=133)group.ITK-SNAP was used to delineate the tumor margins, and Pyradiomics software was used to extract features.Image omics models and Rad-scores were constructed after feature screening.Clinical model, radiomics model and combined diagnostic models were developed, with the combined model's nomogram constructed. The models'predictive values were assessed via receiver operating characteristic curves. Results Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that the positive axillary ultrasonography, high echo halo and abundant internal blood supply were the independent risk factors of axillary lymph node metastasis. Then the clinical model was constructed, and imaging omics model was also constructed by feature screening. The combined model, which incorporated clinical and imaging features, demonstrated superior predictive performance. In the training group, the area under the curve for the combined model was 0.822,which was significantly higher than that of the clinical model(0.765)and radiomics model(0.723)(P=0.002 1,P=0.001 8).In the validation group, the area under the curve for the combined model was 0.846,outperforming the imaging omics model(0.686,P=0.001 8)and the clinical model(0.783),though the latter difference was not statistically significant(P=0.111 3).Conclusion Ultrasound-based radiomics combined diagnostic model effectively predicts ipsilateral axillary lymph node metastasis in stage T1 breast cancer, demonstrating high clinical predictive efficiency.
