Objective To discuss the genetic relationship between Chaoxian and the other populations with STR polymorphisms, and study the origination of Chaoxian with historical data, analyze the difference among them. Methods Samples were obtained from 91 unrelated individuals of Jilin province. PCR amplification was performed using PE9700, the results were analyzed with the GeneScan software and then using the Genetic Analyzer ABI377 and Genotyper2.5. Tests for Hardy Weinberg equilibrium (HWE) and the clustering map were carried out using SPSS11.5. The DA (genetic distance) according to Nei's was calculated and a phylogenetic tree based on the neighbor-joining method using Mega2 software package was constructed. Results 81 alleles and 196 genotypes were observed, with the corresponding frequencies ranging from 0.0055 to 0.4615 and 0.0110 to 0.2747, the observed and expected of genotypes were evaluated using χ2-test and all of the loci were in accordance with Hardy Weinberg equilibrium (P>0.05). Chaoxian was clustered with the other Chinese ethnic groups, then the American Black and the White; it was clustered with the Baishan Han, the Beijing Han of China first, then the South Korean. Conclusion The differentiation among races is larger than that among minorities, and, the differentiation among minorities is related to and is consistent with their geographic location.

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and therapeutic strategy of acute subdural hematoma. Methods A restrospective study was carried out with a total of 94 consecutive ASDH patients who were confirmed through computed tomographic scan and obtained the clinical characteristics by experienced neurosurgeons.15 cases werepure acute subdural hematoma and the other 79 cases were acute compound subdural hematoma according to CT scan. Results In accordance with the GOS,36 cases had good recovery,19 cases had moderate disability,17 cases had severe disability and 22 cases dead. Conclusion The most important treatment for pure acute subdural hematom was to diagnose the source of bleeding, and acute compound subdural hematoma had poor prognosis than pure acute subdural hematoma since the traumatic severity. Early decraniuim by large bone flap to treat acute compound subdural hematoma could improve survival rate,reduce the fatality rate and decrease postoperative complications.

Objective To summarise the clinical characteristics and surgical treatment experience of primary cardiac tumours treated by tumorectomy under extracorporeal circulation .Methods The clinical data of 352 patients with primary cardiac tumors in our hospital from January 1980 to December 2015,who received surgical treatment of tumorectomy under extracorporeal circulation were retrospectively ana -lyzed.Results Among the 352 cases in all, there were 338 cases (96%) of benign tumor, including 309 cases (87.8%) of myxoma and 14 cases (4.0%) of malignant tumor.There were 4 cases of perioperative death, and all the 4 cases were malignant tumor.Conclusion Myxoma is the most common primary cardiac tumor ,and the best solution for the cardiac benign tumor is surgery .However , the effect of sur-gical operation on malignant cardiac tumors was poor .

Objective To study the genetic relatio ns hips of 15 groups of Guangxi Province, China by using STR polymorphisms. Methods We collected the blood samples of unrelated individuals from different groups and s equenced the STR data with ABI377, and then analyzed all these data with statist ical methods. Results The study on 6 STR loci showed that Jing and Miao n ationalities of Guangxi Province were close to each other, while Yao, Gelao and Mulam nationalities of Guangxi were far from the other groups. Conclusi on The 15 different ethnic groups of Guangxi, China have gene commun ications.

AIM: To investigate the effects of myofibrillogenesis regulator-1 (MR1) on myocardial hypertrophy. METHODS: Three stem-loop structures of rMR1 mRNA were selected as targets to establish RNA interference carriers. After transient transfection with plasmids, cultured cardiomyocytes of neonatal were used to perform RT-PCR for choosing the first target to carry out RNA interference blocking MR1 gene. In order to observe the effect of MR1 gene silence on myocardial hypertrophy induced by angiotensin Ⅱ (AngⅡ), the radiation intensity of tritium-leucine ([3H]-Leu) was used to label the cardiomyocytes. Objective To study the expression levels of N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP),serum albumin of Kawasaki' s disease (KD),incomplete Kawasaki' s disease (IKD),and children whose fever were unexplained and to explore the clinical significance of the levels of NT-proBNP and serum albumin in the early diagnosis of IKD.Methods The levels of NT-proBNP of 246 cases of KD (KD group),61 cases of IKD (IKD group) and 301 cases of children with unexplained fever (fever group)were measured by the enzyme-linked fluorescence analysis (ELFA) at the day of admission,meanwhile,the levels of albumin were tested in KD,and IKD children were underwent ECG and echocardiography.Based on the test results,patients were further divided into the group with cardiovascular damage and the group without cardiovascular damage.SPSS 19.0 was used for statistical analysis.The t test was used to compare the parameters between each group,the variance analysis and association analysis were carried out with Pearson's correlation analysis.The ROC curve analysis was done to identify the cardiovascular damage threshold.Results ① The level of plasma NT-proBNP of the KD group,the IKD group was significantly h igher than the fever group [(789.1±4.7) ng/L,(824.8±4.4) ng/L vs (92.5±2.3) ng/L,F=230.736,all P＜0.05];② The level of albumin of the KD group and the IKD group was significantly lower than that of the fever group [(33.9±2.8) g/L,(33.8±3.1) g/L vs (40.8±3.6) g/L,F=355.648,all P＜0.05]; ③ The levels of NT-proBNPs between the cardiovascular damage group and the groups without cardiovascular damage among the KD group,and those of the IKD groups were compared.In the KD group,the NT-proBNPs level of the two subgroups was (2948±3) g/L (n=103) vs (305±3) g/L,n=143; while in the IKD group,the NT-proBNPs of the two subgroups was (1454±4) g/L (n=38) vs (323±4) g/L (n=23).The dif-ferences were statistically significant (t=16.464,4.356,all P＜0.05).④ The plasma NT-proBNP level higher than 933.5 ng/L was identify as the indicator for cardiovascular damage in both KD and IKD children.Its sensi-tivity was 88.1％,and its specificity was 89％.⑤ When the level of NT-proBNP was higher than 250 ng/L,the sensitivity for diagnosis in the KD,the IKD was 80.9％,85.2％ respec-tively,and the specificity was 85.7％.When the level of NT-proBNP was higher than 250 ng/L and that of albumin was lower than 35 g/L,the sensitivity for diagnosis of KD,IKD was 67.5％,70.5％ respectively,the specificity was 99.7％.Conclusion The level of plasma NT-proBNP (＞250 ng/L) accompanied by decreased albumin (＜35 g/L) may be specific markers for early diagnosis of IKD.In addition,the level of NT-proBNP ≥933.5 ng/L can be used as a diagnostic threshold,which has good sensitivity and specificity for identifica-tion of cardiovascular damage in the KD and IKD in children.

Objective To report the HLA data of volunteer donors of Chinese bank from Northwest China and characterize the distribution of HLA genes in Northwest China. Methods HLA-A, B antigens of 2315 volunteer donors were examined by the method of microlymphocytetoxicity (MLT) test .The antigen frequencies(AF) were assessed by directly counting; and based on that gene frequencies(GF) were calculated. HLA data from other population were collected and distribution characteristics were compared. With the raw data, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, statistical parameters of forensic medicine interest for HLA were computed. Results A total of 18 specific antigens were detected in HLA-A and the most frequent antigen was A2 . AF and GF were 0.5136 and 0.3026, respectively. A total of 42 specific antigens were detected in HLA-B and the most frequent antigen was A13. Its AF and GF were 0.1978 and 0.1044, respectively. The heterozygosity(H), polymorphism information content(PIC), discrimination power(DP) and probability of paternity exclusion (PPE) of HLA-A were 0.8215, 0.8212, 0.9356 and 0.7798 accordingly; while H,PIC, DP and PPE of HLA-B were 0.9322, 0.9322, 0.9878 and 0.9528. Conclusion The polymorphism of HLA-A,B genes is characteristic in Chinese. In this research, the genetic trait of HLA in 2315 volunteers is consistent with Northern Han population.

Objective To compare the efficacy and safety of suction ureteral stent and conventional ureteral stent in the treatment of patients with urinary calculi,so as to evaluate the clinical application value.Methods A total of 196 patients with urinary calculi admitted to in our hospital during Dec.2022 and May 2023 were selected to undergo ureteral holmium laser lithotripsy with hard ureteroscopy or soft ureteroscopy,including 100 with suction ureteral stent(suction group)and 96 with conventional ureteral stent(conventional group).Basic data,visual analog scale(VAS),extubation time,extubation success rate,gross hematuria,lumbar and abdominal pain,and urinary tract infection were compared between the two groups.Results Compared with the conventional group,the suction group had lower VAS[(2.94±1.24)vs.(5.78±1.50)],shorter extubation time[(4.28±0.51)min vs.(13.51±1.81)min],and the differences were statistically significant(P＜0.01).After extubation,the suction group had a lower incidence of complications(P＜0.05).Conclusion Compared with conventional ureteral stent,extraction of suction ureteral stent has the advantages of simpler operation,better patient comfort,fewer complications,shorter extubation time and lower medical costs.

PURPOSE: Previous studies have confirmed that microRNAs play important roles in the pathogenesis of acute aortic dissection (AAD). Here, we aimed to explore the role of miR-145 and its regulatory mechanism in the pathogenesis of AAD. MATERIALS AND METHODS: AAD tissue samples were harvested from patients with aortic dissection and normal donors. Rat aortic vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) were transfected with miR-145 mimic/inhibitor or negative control mimic/inhibitor. Gene and protein expression was measured in human aortic dissection tissue specimens and VSMCs by qRT-PCR and Western blot. Luciferase reporter assay was applied to verify whether connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) was a direct target of miR-145 in VSMCs. Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay was used to detect VSMC viability. RESULTS: miR-145 expression was downregulated in aortic dissection tissues and was associated with the survival of patients with AAD. Overexpression of miR-145 promoted VSMC proliferation and inhibited cell apoptosis. Moreover, CTGF, which was increased in aortic dissection tissues, was decreased by miR-145 mimic and increased by miR-145 inhibitor. Furthermore, CTGF was confirmed as a target of miR-145 and could reverse the promotion effect of miR-145 on the progression of AAD. CONCLUSION: miR-145 suppressed the progression of AAD by targeting CTGF, suggesting that a miR-145/CTGF axis may provide a potential therapeutic target for AAD.

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Redo-Bentall surgery in the reoperation of aortic root lesions.Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on 46 patients who underwent Redo-Bentall surgery for aortic root lesions in our department from June 2010 to April 2022.They were 35 males and 11 females,at a mean age of 43.37±12.79 years,in 4.96±6.76 years since the last operation.General clinical data in perioperative period and during follow-up were collected and analyzed.Kaplan-Meier survival analysis was used to compare the survival rates of each etiological group.Results There were 9 cases of central end otitis,12 cases of Behset's disease,and 25 cases of other causes.After operation,4 cases(8.70％)experienced cardiac arrest,4 cases(8.70％)renal failure,2 cases(4.35％)gastrointestinal bleeding,2 cases(4.35％)new third-degree atrioventricular block and 2 cases(4.35％)permanent pacemaker placement.In perioperative period,3 cases(6.52％)died in hospital.During a mean follow-up of 5.03±3.27 years after discharge,5 cases(11.63％)were lost to follow-up,1 case died(2.33％),1 case had lacunar infarction(2.33％),and no severe bleeding or embolism complications was observed in the rest patients.The long-term survival rate was significantly lower in the endocarditis group(62.3％)and the Behcet's disease group(70％)than the other etiological groups(80％,P＜0.05).Conclusion The application of Redo-Bentall in the reoperation of aortic root lesions is safe and effective,but the survival rate is quite lower in the patients with infective endocarditis and Behcet's disease.
