To investigate the distribution of virulence associated factors of 5 strains of Streptococcus suis type 2 from slaughtered pigs isolated in Fujian province , 7 virulence genes were detected through PCR amplification. They were the glutamate dehydrogenase gene(gdh), the capsular polysaccharides gene(cps), the extracellular factor gene(ef), the muramidate-released protein gene(mrp), the suilysin gene(sly), the fibronectin-binding protein gene(fbps) and the virulence-associated sequence or f2. Among these 5 strains isolated, the virulence genotypes of 4 strains S.suis type 2 and strain SS2PFJ07 was gdh+/cps2J+/mrp+/ef-/sly-/fbps+/orf2+ and the other one strain isolated from slaughtered pigs was gdh+/cps2J+/mrp+/ef+/sly+/fbps+ /orf2+ respectively. This results showed that there are at least 2 virulence genotypes in Streptococcus suis type 2 from slaughtered pigs isolated in Fujian province.

Objective To evaluate the pre- and intra-operative risk factors associated with delayed weaning from ventilator during the early postoperative period in patients undergoing liver transplantation. Methods Two hundred and twelve patients (152 male, 60 female) aged 22-69 yr undergoing liver transplantation from Sept 2004to Aug 2006 were enrolled in this study and were divided into 2 groups according to the time when the patients were weaned from ventilator: normal weaning group (Group A, the patients weaned from ventilator within 24 h after operation) and delayed weaning group (Group B, the patients weaned from ventilator more than 24 h after operation). Routine anesthesia wes performed. Blood and blood products were transfused according to the guidelines for blood transfusion to maintain the mean arterial pressure (MAP)≥60 mm Hg during operation. Sixteen preoperative variables (age>64 yr, gender, BMI ≥ 30kg/m2, PaO2<75 mm Hg,pleural effusion, a history of asthma, smoking, drinking alcohol, coronary artery disease, diabetes mellitus, encephalopathy>grade 3, spontaneous bacterial peritonitis, preoperative MELD score, serum albumin, ascites≥20 ml/kg and moderate hepatopulmonary hypertension) and 7 intraoperative variables (duration of operation, duration of anhepatic stage, transfusions of RBC,fresh frozen plasma (FFP), crystalloid and colloid, and urine output< 1 ml·kg-1·h-1) were recorded and compared between the two groups. Results There were significant differences in 9 preoperative variables (age > 64 yr, PaO2<75 mm Hg, pleural effusion, encephalopathy>grade 3, spontaneous bacterial peritonitis, preoperative MELD score, serum albumin, ascites≥20 ml/kg and moderate hepato-pulmonary hypertension) and 5 intraoperative variables (transfusions of RBC, FFP, crystalloid and colloid, and urine output<1 mi·kg-1·h-1) between the two groups (P<0.05 or 0.01). And logistic regression analysis showed that 5preoperative variables (age>64 yr, PaO2<75 mm Hg, encephalopathy > grade 3, preoperative MELD score, and moderate hepato-pulmonary hypertension) and 2 intraoperative variables (transfusion of RBC and urine output<1 ml·kg-1·h-1) were confirmed to be associated with delayed weaning from ventilator. Conclusion Such variables es age > 64 yr, preoperative PaO2 < 75 mm Hg, encephalopathy > grade 3, preoperative MELD score, moderate hepato-pulmonary hypertension, transfusion of RBC during operation and urine output < 1 ml· kg-1 · h-1 are associated with delayed weaning from ventilator during early postoperative period after liver transplantation.

Objective To investigate neurological function, volume of cerebral infarction, changes of lipid peroxidation, and the intervention effect of compound angelica injection (CAI) on rats with focal cerebral ischemia injury. Methods Models of rat with cerebral ischemia were reproduced by middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO). All animals were randomly divided into sham-operation group, model group, CAI group, and edaravone group. 1 hour after the models were established, rats in the sham-operation group and model group received intraperitoneal injection with normal saline, while rats in CAI group and edaravone group received intraperitoneal injection with relevant medicine for continuing 7 days. Volume of cerebral infarction was detected by Tetrazole staining method, neurologic function were detected by neuroethology, and concentration of MDA in brain tissue was also detected. Results After 7-day cerebral ischemia, compared with the model group, volume of cerebral infarction in CAI group was significantly reduced (P<0.05), and the concentration of MDA was a little lower. Conclusion CAI has significant protective effects which can significantly improve neurological function, reduce volume of cerebral infarction, and alleviate the effects of lipid peroxidation of rats with focal cerebral ischemia injury.

Objective To investigate the multiparametric magnetic resonance technique in diagnosis of bladder urothelial carcinoma. Methods The clinical data of 80 patients with urinary tract disease who were treat-ed in the Department of Urology in our hospital from October 2016 to March 2017 were analyzed. The patients were divided into two groups:the tumor group(39 patients with bladder cancer)and the control group(41 patients with the remaining bladder disease). The basic information of two groups and pathological diagnosis results were record-ed and analyzed. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to screen out the statistical significance of the diagnosis of bladder cancer. The ROC curve was applied to determine the best diagnostic point. Results The multivariate analysis showed that UBC level(P=0.039),NMP22(P=0.038)and ADC(P=0.028)have signifi-cance in diagnosis of bladder cancer. Pearson analysis showed that there was a significant correlation between the ADC value and the NMP22(r = 0.333,P = 0.038). The ROC curve shows that the ADC area under the ROC curve was 0.750. The diagnostic sensitivity of ADC value was 0.9750 × 10-3mm2/s;The diagnostic sensitivity was 73.2% and specificity was 69.2%. Conclusion Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging is of great value in the diagnosis of bladder cancer.
