Objective To evaluate the value of the use of fibrin glue in radical mastectorny for breast cancer. Method 52 patients with breast cancer were divided randomly into two groups. In one group (27 patients) fibrin glue was used during radical mastectomy, while in the other group (25 patients), fibrin glue was not used. The volume of drainage on the first postoperative day and total volume of drainage after the operation were collected and measured. The fluid accumulation underneath the flap was also observed. Objective To investigate the key points in the nursing work of esophageal waterperfused high-resolution manometry (WHRM).Methods Summarized the nursing experiences before,during and after WHRM of 153 patients.Results Only 5 cases could not finish the test due to failure of intubation.23 cases complained about nasopharyngeal discomfort but follow-up monitoring was unremarkable.Conclusion In order to ensure the completion of WHRM,nursing cooperation requires serious assessment and preparation before manometry,intimate observation of patients' condition during manometry,and keep the catheter disinfection after manometry.

Objective To investigate the systemic stress responses after laparoscopic resection in colorectal cancer patients.Methods Sixty patients were randomized into the laparoscopic resection group (30 cases) and open resection group (30 cases) from October 2001 to September 2002 in our hospital.Analgesic dosages, recovery time of intestinal peristalsis, postoperative temperatures, C reactive protein(CRP), IL 6 and white blood cell (WBC) counts were recorded after operation. Objective To assess the predictive value of coronary angiography TIMI myocardial perfusion grade (TMPG), electrocardiogram (ECG) single-lend ST segment resolution (STR), ECG Max-ST-segment deviation (MaxSTE) on judging myocardial reperfusion after primary angioplasty in the patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI). Methods Primary percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) was performed in 42 patients within 12 hours after AMI onset. Coronary angiography and ECG was done before and after angioplasty. TMPG, ECG single-leed STR and MaxSTE were used to assess myocardial reperfusion immediately after PCI. Myocardial perfusion scan was examined in all the patients using99mTc-MIBI SPECT on day 7±2. Results Compared with the level of myocardial perfusion demonstrated in myocardial scan of 99mTc-MIBI SPECT, the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of TMPG, single-lead STR and MaxSTE was calculated. The sensitivity of TMPG, single-lead STR and MaxSTE was 93.75%, 87.50% and 81.25%, respectively, the specificity of them was 20.00%, 80.00% and 80.00%, respectively, and the accuracy was 76.19%, 85.71% and 80.95%, respectively. The findings in single-lead STR and MaxSTE matched well with the results of myocardial scan of 99mTc-MIBI SPECT. Conclusion In the patients suffering from AMI treated with PCI, ECG is an effective method to assess myocardial tissue reperfusion.

Survivin is a protein that inhibits apoptosis and regulates cell division.The cDNA sequence of survivin was amplified by RT-PCR and sub-cloned into the prokaryotic expression vector pET-21b(+),followed by transformation into E.coli strain BL21(DE3) and induction with IPTG.The recombinant survivin protein fusing with 6?His tag was expressed in E.coli in the form of inclusion body at the expression level over 60% of the total cell protein.Results of Western blotting showed that recombinant survivin reacted specifically with anti-human survivin antibody.After gel filtration,the recombinant protein reached the purity over 95%,which facilitate the study of diagnosing and inhibitor agents targeting survivin.

ObjectiveTo find out the electroencephalogram(EEG)change of the children with language retardation.MethodsThe EEG change and prognosis of 78 cases of language retardation children were analysed and compared with normal ones.ResultsThe EEG abnormal rate of language retardation was 69.3%,while that of the normal children was 10%(P<0.001).Conclusions The EEG is helpful to understand the developmental status of brain functions.

Objective To establish a method for high throughput screening single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP) by tag microarray,and then apply the method to study the gene SNP which is related to the motor function of normal people.Methods The genes related to motor function were firstly defined,and then 48 SNP loci were determined.The rs numbers of these SNP loci were fingered out from PubMed,and the primers were designed with the software in web site "www.autoprimer.com".The primer sequences were then downloaded and sent to the biologic corporation for synthesis.After being synthesized and purified by HPLC these primers were used in the experiments according to the instruction of Bakeman's SNPstream machine.The key techniques of SNPstream machine were tag microarray and single nucleotide extension assay.Once the determination was finished,both the gene frequency and allele frequency of every locus could be statistically analyzed.Results The information of the 48 SNP loci that related to motor function had been determined simultaneously by tag microarray,regardless the number of samples to be detected at the same time.The number of the samples was variable to meet the need.The data of gene frequency and allele frequency of these 48 SNP loci may be used in the subsequent studies.Conclusions Tag microarray used to high throughput screening SNP has the advantages of accuracy,speed,efficiency and reasonable cost.Therefore it can be applied to study the relationship between the SNP and many kinds of diseases.

Objective To explore the influence of electrical stimulation on prefrontal cortical neurons and synaptic ultramicrostructure of hypoxic-ischemic brain damage(HIBD)in neonatal rats.Methods The sixty 7-day-old newborn healthy SD rats were randomly divided into hypoxic-ischemic group(model group),electrical stimulation(intervention)group and sham operation group(control group),which 20 for each group.The models of perinatal HIBD rats were prepared by ligation of left common carotid artery with a temporary systemic hypoxia for 2 hours.Intervention group was subject to electric stimulation for 30 minutes,once everyday after surgery.Control group and model group were not subject to electric stimulation but caught to fix in corresponding period.Fastigial nucleus electric stimulations were performed for 3 d,14 d and 21 d.Five rats were killed in each group after the application of electron microscope to observe the brain cortex neurons and synaptic ultrastructure changes.Results In model group,the neuronal shrinkage,the amount of organelles dacrease,ob-vious edema of cytoplasm,obvious swellen mitochondria,and synapse quantity decrease,synaptic space fusion,obvious synaptic vesicle were observed.Intervention group different times,mitochondria hydrops gradually alleviated,synaptic space gradually cleared,synaptic vesicle increased,pathological changes obviously lessened compared to model group at the same time,and there was no apparent abnormality compared with control group on the 21st d.Conclusion Electric stimulation can promote the ultramicrostructures recovery of HIBD rats.
