Estrogen is an important active endogenous substance which is needed by female to sustain normal psychological and physiological function.Studies have demonstrated that estrogen has an extensive effect on the central nervous system. This review explained the relation between estrogen and learning on a few aspects such as neurobiochemistry, neurophysiology, neuroanatomy, signal transduction and so on.

0.05).Conclusion Multi-disciplinary techniques combined with 125Ⅰ seeds implantation is effective in the management of the malignant obstructive jaundice. No significant difference for relief and liver function were found between CT-guided and during operation interstitial 125Ⅰ seeds implantations, but it seems more quickly relief or recovery was achieved in the latter.

This paper focuses mainly on the study of optimal fermentation conditions of S-adenosyl-L-methionine.Effects of carbon sources, nitrogen sources, inorganic constituents, growth factors and adding time of L-methionine on the yield, the content and biomass of S-adenosyl-L-methionine are studied. And ingredients of the culture medium are also optimized by the method of uniform design. The final optimum culture medium contains: glucose 30 g,Yeast powder 11 g,(NH_4)_2SO_4 12 g,K_2HPO_4?3H_2O 5 g,KH_2PO_4 10 g,MnSO_4?H_2O 0.09 g,ZnSO_4?7H_2O 0.14 g,MgCl_20.5 g,CaCl_2 0.3 g,CuSO_4 0.005 g per liter. Using that optimum culture medium, the yield of S-adenosyl-L-methionine can reach 0.9 g/L in Erlenmeyer flask which is 30 % higher than before.Experiment on 5 L fermenter reveals that the accumulation of S-adenosyl-L-methionine can reach 2.66 g/L.Biomass is 23.4 g/L.

Objective To evaluate the effectiveness of mouth gag which can inserted into lavage tube during gastric lavage. Methods The Sixty- six cases of acute poisoning patients with gastric lavage according to random number table method were randomly divided into two groups, 33 cases in each group. Observation group used the inserted mouth gag, and the control group used the metal ones. Results The observation group were lower than the control group at the time required to insert the lavage tube [(2.23±0.19)s to (3.26±0.30)s] and the incidence of complication rate [18.2%(6/33) to 45.5%(15/33)], the oral cavity bleeding [6.0%(2/33) to 30.3%(10/33)], lavage tube displacement [0(0/33)to 24.2%(8/33)], lavage tube twisting[0(0/33) to 24.2%(8/33)], the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01), while higher in the rate of successful intubation[100.0%(33/33)] to [54.5%(18/33)], the difference was statistically significant, χ2=19.4,P<0.01. Conclusions The application of the mouth gag which can insert into gastric lavage improved the successful intubation rate, saved the rescue time, reduced the complication and improved the nursing quality.

AIM: To assess the differentiation of rat mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) in the microenvironment of retinitis pigmentosa(RP) induced by the administration of sodium iodate. METHODS: In vitro cultured Lewis rat MSC were injected into the subretinal space of NaIO3 induced RP rat eyes (30g/L NaIO3 100mg/kg). To observe the trace and differentiation of MSC by immuno-fluorescent method successively in 5 weeks after the surgery.RESULTS: The majority of the transplanted cells stay in retinal pigment epithelium(RPE) layer and cones and rods layer. From the 2nd week after transplantation, the engrafted MSC expressed PCK and rhodopsin under fluorescent microscope.CONCLUSION: MSC can survive mainly in the outer layer of retina in the microenvironment of RP and differentiate forward the RPE cell and photoreceptor.

Objective To investigate whether exposure to particulate matter of diameter equal to or less than 2.5μm (PM2.5) alters the response of lung epithelial cells to extrinsic regulation by globally profiling cell surface ligands and quantifying their binding activity. Methods Human A549 lung epithelial cells (LECs) were treated with or without PM2.5. Ligandomic profiling was applied to these cells for the global identification of LEC-binding ligands with simultaneous quantification of binding activity. Quantitative comparisons of the entire ligandome profiles systematically identified ligands with increased or decreased binding to PM2.5-treated LECs. Results We found 143 ligands with increased binding to PM2.5-treated LECs and 404 ligands with decreased binding. Many other ligands showed no change in binding activity. For example, apolipoprotein E (ApoE), Notch2, and growth arrest-specific 6 (Gas6) represent ligands with increased, decreased, or unchanged binding activity, respectively. Both ApoE and Gas6 are phagocytosis ligands, suggesting that phagocytic receptors on LECs after stimulation with PM2.5 were differentially upregulated by PM2.5. Conclusion These results suggest that the newly-developed ligandomics is a valuable approach to globally profile the response of LECs to PM2.5 in terms of regulating the expression of cell surface receptors, as quantified by ligand binding activity. This quantitative ligandome profiling will provide in-depth understanding of the LEC molecular response on the cell surface to particulate matter air pollution.
