Journal of Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Medical Sciences) 2014;34(2):289-97
An evaluation scale of medical services quality was developed on the basis of "patients' experience". The questionnaires were developed by, among others, searching relevant literature, collecting well-established assessment scales, measuring patients' experience and satisfaction, brain-storming, literature analysis. Delphi method was adopted for expert consultation. Scale items were screened and revised. The key indexes were converted. Field surveys were conducted for testing the reliability and validity of the scale. Our modified evaluation scale for measuring medical services quality based on "patients' experience" included 6 dimensions (tangibility, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and continuity), and 50 items. The novel scale based on "patients' experience" may better serve the purpose of assessing medical services quality.

6.The effects of intensive sit-to-stand training on the balance and walking ability of hemiplegic stroke survivors
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2012;34(8):596-599
Objective To investigate the effectiveness of intensive sit-to-stand training in improving the balance and walking of hemiplegic stroke patients. Methods Sixty hemiplegic stroke patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group with 30 cases in each. Both groups were treated with routine rehabilitation. The observation group also underwent extensive sit-to-stand training. The training lasted for 15 min/time,6 times/week for 4 weeks. All of the patients were assessed with respect to their body weight distribution,Berg balance scale (BBS) scores, timed up & go test (TUGT) times and using footprint gait analysis, before the treatment and 4 weeks post treatment. Results After 4 weeks of treatment body weight distribution,BBS scores,TUGT times and gait improved significantly in both groups. The BBS,TUGT and gait improvements were significantly greater in the observation than in the control group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of body weight distribution. Conclusions Extensive sit-to-stand training combined with routine rehabilitation can distinctly improve the balance and walking of hemiplegic stroke survivors.
7.Analysis of clinical factors for pathological complete response after preoperative neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer
Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2014;23(1):5-8
Objective To evaluate the clinical factors associated with pathological complete response (pCR) after preoperative neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 116 patients with rectal cancer, who underwent neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy followed by radical surgery from January 2009 to December 2012.All patients received pelvic intensity-modulated radiotherapy (50 Gy/25 fractions) with concurrent fluorouracilbased chemotherapy and then underwent radical surgery 4-8 weeks later. The clinical factors associated with pCR or non-pCR were analyzed by Logistic regression. Results Of the 116 patients,20 (17.2%) achieved a pCR after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. The univariate analysis showed that percentage of circumference of the rectal tube invaded by the tumor, preoperative serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) level,T stage,N stage, distance from the anal verge, degree of tumor differentiation, and maximum tumor diameter were associated with pCR or non-pCR after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer. The multivariate analysis revealed that percentage of circumference of the rectal tube invaded by the tumor, preoperative serum CEA level, and T stage were predictive factors for pCR or non-pCR after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer. Conclusions Non-circumferential tumor (percentage of circumference of the rectal tube invaded by the tumor < 75 %),low CEA level, and early T stage before treatment may be associated with pCR after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer.

Methods With reference to the domestic and abroad literatures, the diagnostic and therapeutic standards were set and prepared to be verified. ResultsThe diagnostic standards included:(①ALT 30 -40 IU/L: add 2 scores. (②Age:30 -39 ,add 1 score; ≥40,add 2 scores. (③Ultrasound examination: obviously abnormal, add 1 score;deteriorated during follow up:add 2 scores. ④Fibrosis markers positive: add 1 score. (⑤History of HCC in vertical relatives:add 1 score. ⑥ Existence of conditions which can induced elevation of ALT such as fatty liver or alcoholic liver or BMI > 23 kg/m2,minus 2 scores. The therapeutic standards included:(①≥5 scores: should be treated;(②3 -4 scores: may be treated or just follow up;(③≤2 scores;follow up and reexamine every 6 months. ConclusionsThe above standards are preliminary suggestions which should be checked and rectified by liver biopsy to achieve a more accurate and more practical standard.
10.A clinical observation of heart rate turbulence of diabetes
Chinese Journal of Diabetes 2009;17(12):933-934
Objective To discuss the significance and alteration of heart rate turbulence (HRT) of diabetics with ventricular premature beats of coronary heart disease (CHD). Methods 107 patients were chosen and divided into DM group(n=30), CHD group (n=32)and normal group(n=45).The turbulence onset(TO)and turbulence slope(TS) were calculated and analyzed. Results For the diabetics with ventricular premature beats, TO value was higher and TS value was lower than the normal group(all P<0.05).The value of TO and TS of the diabetics with ventricular premature beats were similar to those of CHD(P>0.05). Conclusions HRT can be used to estimate the integrality and stability of cardiac autonomic nerve function for the diabetics and it is an important factor for diagnosis.
