OBJECTIVE: To prepare PVP-I film agent of high water solubility and to establish a method for its quality control. METHODS: The film was prepared by mixing PVP-I,glycerol, distilled water and PVA05-88. The content of povidone iodine was determined with electric titration. The stability of the preparation stored in brown glass and colorless glass was investigated.RESULTS:The prepared film was integrated, clear and even in color and size. The average recovery was 99.03%(RSD=0.75%).The film stored in brown glass showed no evident changes in appearance and content within 60d, while that in colorless glass was found to have a decrease in content and yellowish appearance. CONCLUSION: The preparation technology is simple and method of quality control is accurate and reliable.

Objective To investigate the effects of low dose radiation on dendritic growth of newborn neurons in the hippocampus of young rat.Methods One month-old male rats were randomized into radiation group aind sham control group.Radiation group received whole brain irradiation at a single dose of 2 Gy.Retrovirus expressing green fluorescent protein (GFP) was used to label newborn neurons in the hippocampus through stereotaxic intracranial infusion.Immunofluorescence assays were performed to detect dendritic architecture alterations induced by irradiation at different time points.Results Compared with control group,the lengths of total dendrite and the longest dendrite significantly decreased at 2 and 4 weeks after irradiation (t =3.10,2.07,2.94,4.02,P ＜ 0.05).The branching points of new born neurons were also decreased significantly at 2 weeks post irradiation (t =2.23,P ＜ 0.05).The number of new born neurons reduced at 4 weeks post irradiation (t =8.43,P ＜ 0.05).Conclusions Low dose radiation could inhibit newborn neuron growth in the hippocampus of young rat,which may be one of the most important mechanisms involved in radiation-induced cognitive impairment.

Objective To investigate the clinical significance of the antenatal detection of four indices of coagulation(PT,APTT, TT,FIB),D-dimer(DD)and platelet(PLT)in the judgment of parturient coagulation function and bleeding risk.Methods 795 pregnant women and childbearing age non-pregnant women with physical examination in this hospital from June 2012 to September 2013 were collected and divided into the normal pregnancy group(early pregnancy,middle pregnancy,late pregnancy,parturient pe-riod),obstetric accident group,pregnancy complicating other disease group and healthy control group.At the same time,PT, APTT,TT,FIB,DD and PLT were detected and the related statistical analysis was conducted.Results DD and FIB in the normal pregnancy group were significantly higher than those in the healthy control group(P<0.05),PT and APTT were significantly low-er than those in the healthy control group(P <0.05),TT had no statistically significant difference between these two groups(P >0.05 );DD and FIB in the obstetric accident group and the pregnancy complicating other disease group were significantly higher than those in the normal pregnancy group(P <0.05),while PT was significantly lower than that in the normal pregnancy group(P <0.05).PLT in the obstetric accident group and the pregnancy complicating other disease group was significantly lower than that in the normal pregnancy group(P <0.05).The sensitivity and specificity of the combined detection of 3 indices in diagnosing the ob-stetrical accidents were greatly superior to those of the single index detection or the combined detection of two indices.Conclusion The prenatal combination detection of four coagulation indices,DD and PLT can preliminarily judge the coagulation status of preg-nancy period in pregnant women,help to treat abnormal bleeding of pregnant women an possess the important guidance significance in formulating the labor scheme and preventing the occurrence of obstetric accidents.

Abstract： Objective　To investigate the distribution and antimicrobial resistance profile of the bacterial strains isolated from blood cultures in neonatal septicemia children of Neonatology Department, the First People's Hospital of Chuzhou during Jan. 2017-Dec. 2021, in order to guide clinical rational drug use. Methods　The distribution and the results of antimicrobial susceptibility tests and characteristics of the pathogenic bacteria isolated from blood culture samples in neonatal septicemia children in the First Hospital of Chuzhou from Jan. 2017 to Dec. 2021 were retrospectively analyzed. The results were analyzed with WHONET 5.6 software, according to the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) 2021 breakpoints. 　Results　A total of 189 strains were isolated from the 4 538 sample of blood cultures, the positive rate was 4.2%, including 59(31.2%) Gram-negative bacterial strains, 130 (68.8%) Gram-positive bacterial strains. The most frequently isolates were coagulase-negative staphylococci（64.0%), Serratia liquefaciens (15.9%), Escherichia coli (3.2%), Acinetobacter lwoffii (2.6%) and Delftia acidovorans (2.6%). The prevalence of methicillin-resistant isolates was 81.8%(99/121) in coagulase-negative Staphylococci and 25.0%（1/4） in Staphylococcus aureus. No staphylococcal strains were found resistant to vancomycin, quinupristin-dalfopristin or linezolid. The sensitivity of the antibacterial drug monitored by Serratia liquefaciens was 100.0%.Conclusions　Gram-positive bacterial are the main pathogen of neonatal septicemia, and is highly resistant to the common antibacterial drugs. The clinical should choose antibacterial agents reasonably according to drug sensitivity.

OBJECTIVE To study the drug resistance,drug-resistant genes and(disinfectant)-resistant genes of(MRS)A.METHODS The drug resistance and mecA gene of the ?-lactamase and aac(6′)/aph(2″),aph(3′)-Ⅲ,ant(4′,4″) genes of aminoglycoside and qac(A/B) disinfectant-resistant genes were(detected) in 47 strains of MRSA.(RESULTS) In all 47 strains of MRSA,46 MRSA isolates were mecA positive,39 MRSA isolates were aac(6′)/aph(2″) positive,30 MRSA isolates were aph(3′)-Ⅲ positive,6 MRSA isolates were ant(4′,4″) positive,and 19 MRSA isolates were qac(A/B) positive.CONCLUSIONS MRSA is multiple-drug resistant.The main resistant mechanisms of MRSA to aminoglycosides and disinfectant are related to the drug-resistant genes of aminoglycoside and disinfectant-resistant genes.Clinic physician must pay attention to the diagnosis and(therapy) of MRSA,and control the hospital infection.

BACKGROUND: The strength and elasticity of general starch can be enhanced dramatically after plastic blends. The major characters of this material are magnitude molecular weight, many enwinded points, extreme containment of small molecules,and great gelation ability. It can be used as a biodegradable replacement of alginate. Furthermore, by adding osteoinductive factors, thermoplastics starch (TP) can be used as an organic engineering material, which can provide dual functions:anti-bleeding and bone formation. TP can also be used as intraoral tissue formation membrane and burn dressings.OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the bio-safety of TP through a cytotoxicity test.DESIGN: A controlled observation.SETTING: Beijing Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics; Beijing Jishuitan Hospital; Beijing University of Chemical Technology; Peking Univesity School of Stomatology.MATERIALS: The experiment was conducted at the laboratory of Beijing Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedics from April to October in 2006. TP sample was obtained by plasticization of corn starch (12 wt % water content) with glycerol in a Haake Rhenmix at 110℃ and with 80 rounds per minute for 25 minutes, elongation at break from 115.3% to 245.3%. It was prepared by Beijing Key Laboratory for Preparation and Processing of Novel Polymeric Materials, Beijing University of Chemical Technology. Mouse fibroblast L-929 cell strain was provided by the cell bank of Peking University Health Science Center.METHODS: 1 × 107 L-1 cell aqueous suspension was cultured into leaching liquor ( 50% ), serving for TP group, and routine culture medium served for negative control group. Effect of TP on relative growth rate of L-929 cell strain was quantitatively measured by MTI" assay. The cytotoxicity of TP was evaluated according to GB/T16175-1996. Morphological changes and proliferation of cells were observed after2, 4, and 7 days of culture in the medium through an inverted phase contrast microscope.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Cytotoxicity, morphological changes and proliferation of cells, and cell relative growth rate.RESULTS: Cytotoxicity: After 2 and 4 days of incubation, the absorbance (A) value was lower in the TP group than in the negative control group. After 7 days of incubation, the A value was significantly higher compared to negative control group (P＜0.01). It indicated that after 2 and 4 days of incubation, the cytotoxicity in the TP group was larger than in the negative control group, while after 7 days of incubation, it was on the opposite. All the test time, TP's cytotoxicity grade ranged from 0 to 1. Morphological change and proliferation of cells: After 2 days of incubation, both groups of cells were not extended to the outside of the scope, with a majority shape of being round, triangle, and quadrangle in the TP group or fusiform cells in the negative control respectively. Four days later, there were gaps among cells in the TP group, while in the negative control group, there were hardly any distance between cells and some cells piled up. Seven days later, cells in starch medium suddenly grew up to such a degree that all the cells lapped over and presented with more bloom than the negative control. Cell relative growth rate: After 2, 4, and 7 days of incubation, relative growth rate increased with time, being 85.63%,82.22%, and 113.05%, respectively.CONCLUSION: TP has no evidence of cytotoxicity and has good bio-safety.

Objective To evaluate the Biological properties of thermoplastic starch(TPS).Methods According the standard of the government,operate three biological evaluation(acute toxicity,haemocompatibility and short-time toxicity)compound with SPSS analyse.Results The rate of haemocompatibility was 2.06%,no more different weight between trail and control in acute toxicity or short-time toxicity in any key period time.Conclusion TPS is acceptable biology materials.

Objective To study the perioperative predictors of portal vein thrombosis (PVT) after splenectomy in cirrhotic patients.Methods We searched the Web of Science,PubMed,EMBASE,Science Direct,CNKI,VIP,CSCD,and Wan Fang Databases up to April 2014.Only case-controlled studies which evaluated predictive factors of portal vein thrombosis (PVT) after splenectomy in cirrhotic patients were included.The Stata 12 software was used to perform the meta-analysis.Results Twenty-four casecontrolled studies were included.The sample size was 4 335,and the incidence rate of PVT was 25.0％.The risk factors of PVT included splenic volume (WMD =13.75,95％ CI:6.47 ～21.00),splenic vein diameter (WMD =1.34,95％ CI:0.39 ～ 2.30),portal vein diameter (WMD =1.54,95 ％ CI:0.56 ～ 2.52 ;WMD=2.09,95％CI:0.55 ～3.64),portal venous flow (WMD =-5.78,95％ CI:-10.46 ～-1.10;WMD =-5.57,95 ％ CI:-5.92 ～-5.22),difference in portal venous pressure (WMD =1.90,95 ％ CI:1.29～2.50) and ascites (OR =1.83,95％ CI:1.19,2.82).There were no significant differences between patients with and without PVT in terms of sex,age,Child-Pugh classification,prothrombin time,PLT,D-dimer,operating time.Conclusion The risk factors of portal vein thrombosis after splenectomy in cirrhotic patients were splenic volume,splenic vein diameter,portal vein diameter,portal venous flow,difference in portal venous pressure and ascites.

Objective:To study the changes of left atrial volume and function in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) by three-dimensional echocardiography (3DE) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).Methods:Thirty-one patients with AMI in Henan People′s Hospital from March to October 2020 were selected as AMI group and 30 healthy subjects were selected as control group.The left atrial maximum volume (LAVmax), minimum volume (LAVmin), presystolic volume (LAVpre), volume index(LAVI), emptying volume (LAEV), ejection fraction (LAEF), long axis and circumferential strain (LASr, LASr-c; LAScd, LAScd-c; LASct, LASct-c) were measured by two-dimensional echocardiography (2DE), 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative technique and CMR.The differences of left atrial indices between two groups and among 2DE, 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative and CMR techniques were compared. Pearson correlation coefficient and Bland-Altman analysis were used to compare 2DE, 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative and CMR. Intra-observer and inter-observer repeatability of 2DE, 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative technique and CMR were evaluated by intra-group correlation coefficient (ICC).Results:①Compared with the control group: LAVmax, LAVmin, LAVpre, LAVI, LASct and LASct-c by 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative increased, while LAEV, LAEF, LASr, LASr-c, LAScd and LAScd-c by 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative technique decreased in AMI group (all P<0.05). ②LAVmax, LAVmin, LAVpre, LASr, LAScd, LASct measured by 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative were more strongly related to CMR than that measured by 2DE(all P<0.05). Compared with CMR, 2DE underestimated LAVmax, LAVmin, LAVpre, LASr, LAScd, LASct by (8.01±4.01)ml, (9.03±4.15)ml, (7.26±2.09 )ml, (7.26±1.23)%, (5.02±1.08)%, (6.24±0.43)%(all P<0.05); 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative technique underestimated LAVmax, LAVmin, LAVpre, LASr, LAScd, LASct by (1.67±0.62)ml, (1.95±0.90)ml, (2.52±0.76)ml, (1.97±0.59)%, (2.03±0.39)%, (1.02±0.30)% (all P>0.05); The time-consuming of 2DE and 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative technique was reduced, and the time-consuming of 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative technique was less than 2DE [(12.18±3.24)s vs (73.34±10.37)s]. ③The reproducibility of 2DE, 3DE left atrial automatic quantitative technique and CMR measurement within and between observers were good. Conclusions:3DE left atrial automatic quantitative technique can effectively evaluate the changes of left atrial volume and function in patients with AMI. Compared with 2DE and CMR, it is simple, rapid, accurate and repeatable, which provides a new and effective method for clinical study of cardiovascular diseases.
