Journal of Practical Stomatology 2015;(1):101-104
Objective:To investigate the relationship between mandibular second molar calcification stage and cervical vertebrae maturity. Methods:Samples were derived from panoramic radiographs and lateral cephalograms of 500 subjects (223 males and 277 females)aged 9 to 18 years.Demirjian Index(DI)and cervical vertebrae maturation indicators(CVMI)were used for the evaluation of dental and skeletal maturity. Results:A significantly association was found between DI and CVMI(P <0.001).DI stage E was associated with CVMI Ⅱ(pre-peak of pubertal growth spurt).DI stages F and G was associated with CVMI Ⅲ and Ⅳ(peak of pu-bertal growth spurt).DI stage H was associated with CVMI Ⅴ and Ⅵ(end of pubertal growth spurt). Conclusion:DI and CVMI are significantly associated.Mandibular second molar DI stage is a reliable indicator of skeletal maturity.

Aim The protective effect of total salvianolic acids (Sal) on cerebral hypoxia inmice was studied. Methods Acute cerebral hypoxia was induced by sodium nitrite scand decapitation. The effect of Sal on acute cerebral hypoxia in mice and neuronalhypoxia injury induced by sodium dithionite in primary cultures were ob-served. Results Sal in the doses of 10, 20 mg?kg-1 iv protected mice against theacute cerebral hypoxia and inhibited the production of lipid peroxidation in brain tis-sue of mice caused by cerebral hypoxia. Sal in the doses of 1~10 ?g? L-1 reduced therate of cell death and the content of MDA and lowered LDH content in extra-cellularbathing media in oxygen deprived cortical cultures. Conclusions Sal protects miceagainst cerebral hypoxia by suppressing the generation of lipid peroxide.

OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of E-cadherin on the proliferation ability of Hep-2 by method of RNA interference technology to silence the expression of E-cadherin. METHODS The specific siRNA sequences and non-silencing siRNA were designed and synthesized. Hep-2 cells were transfected and then the down expression of E-cadherin gene in vitro cultured Hep-2 cells were got. The silencing effect of E-cadherin gene was explored by Fluorescence Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction and the proliferation of the transfected Hep-2 cells were detected in vitro by MTT assay. RESULTS 1.When transfected with the ratio of recombinant plasmid and the quality of liposome volume at 1:1, the transfection efficiency at the siRNA-3 group was the highest and can be up to 65%. 2.The results of Fluorescence Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction: recombinant plasmid pRNAT-U6.1/Neo-siRNA1, pRNAT-U6.1/Neo-siRNA2 and pRNAT-U6.1/Neo-siRNA3 can down regulate the expression of E-cadherin mRAN. Set blank control group as a baseline (set to 1), the changes of expression of E-cadherin relative to β-actin in siRNA-1group was 0.00092, siRNA-2 group was 0.00143, siRNA-3 group was 0.00045 and the negative control group was 3.44898. The difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). 3. MTT: The growth rate of Hep-2 cells treated by specific siRNA was faster than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). CONCLUSION Effectively inhibition the expression of E-cadherin's mRAN can enhance the proliferation of Hep-2 cells.

Chinese Medical Equipment Journal 2015;(9):138-140
The necessity to apply medical devices properly was introduced, and the present situation of the application of hospital medical devices were discussed from the aspects of overuse, abuse, operation and supervision. Some countermeasures were put forward to solve the problems in the application of hospital medical devices. It's pointed out that the application of hospital medical devices tends to be standardized with the progress of medical reformation, the attention on medical devices management, the supervision and etc.

To investigate the effects of CD14 on nuclear transcription factorκB (NF-κB) was activated by lipid-associated membrane proteins (LAMPs) of Mycoplasma genitalium (Mg) ,THP-1 cells were pretreated with serum human or CD14 neu-tralizing antibody ,and then were stimulated by LAMPs .The activation of NF-κBp65 was detected by ELISA .After LAMPs was pretreated with sCD14 stimulated Hela cells with the co-transfection ,the activity of NF-κB luciferase were detected by the dual-luciferase reporter gene to analyze the role of CD14-mediated NF-κB activation by LAMPs .The activation of NF-κBp65 was significantly up-regulated in LAMPs activated THP-1 cells by human serum .It’s suggested that CD14 neutralizing anti-body could inhibit the activation of NF-κBp65 in LAMPs stimulated THP-1 .The activation of NF-κB was significantly up-regu-lated in LAMPs activated Hela cells by mCD14 or sCD14 .CD14 could augment the activation of NF-κB by Mg LAMPs .
