Chinese Journal of Pharmacoepidemiology 2007;0(02):-
Objective:To observe the effect of rosiglitazone on serum MMP-9 con-centration and expression of peripheral monocyte MMP-9 in rats with diabetes.Method:Thirty SD rats were randomly divided into 3 groups:control group(n=10),diabetes group(n=10)and rosiglitazone group(n=10).The rat diabetic model was made by the intra- peritoneal injection of streptozocin. After the model was made successfully, the rats of rosightazone group were treated with rosiglitazone(5 mg?kg~(-1)?d~(-1)for 28d)by garage and the rats of control group and diabetes group were treated with normal saline. The concentration of serum MMP-9 were detected by Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay(ELISA).The expres- sion of peripheral monocyte MMP-9 mRNA were measured by RT-PCR.Result:The concentration of serum MMP-9 were lowered by rosiglitazone treatment. The expression of peripheral monocyte MMP-9 mRNA were inhibited by rosightazone treatment too. Conclusion:Rosiglitazone may be stable artery atherosclerosis plaque through inhibit the mRNA expression of MMP-9.
4.BIOCHEMICAL STUDIES ON MUCOPOLYSACCHARIDOSIS Ⅰ. CHARACTERIZATION OF GLYCOSAMINOGLYCANS IN URINE FROM TWO PATIENTS WITH SANFILIPPO'S SYNDROME
Mengyu TIAN ; Zhenqiang ZHANG ;
Journal of Xi'an Jiaotong University(Medical Sciences) 1981;0(03):-
Urine glycosaminoglycans of two patients (full brother and sister )with Sanfilippo's syndrome were analysed by electrophoresis, enzymatic or chemical treatment and ion-exchange chromatography. Heparin sulfate is the main glycosaminoglycan accouting for 70% and 58% of urine glycosaminoglycans in both patients, whereas only 29% and 42% of urine glycosaminoglycans are cnondroitin sulfate. Tbe C/O ratio urine heparin sulfate of the patients is 2.32, indicating that the hexuronic acid component parts of the patient's heparin sulfate are much the same as general heparin sulfate. However, the analysis of glycosaminoglycans with DEAE-Sephadex A-25 chromatography and electrophoresis in 0.1 M HCL showed that urine heparin sulfate of the patients arc heterogeneous, and that it covers, at least, two molecular types with different amount of sulfate and charge density.
5.Prelimenary studies on effects of resveratrol in inhibiting growth of HepG2 and inducing its apoptosis
Chinese Pharmacological Bulletin 1986;0(05):-
AIM To investigate the effect of resveratrol on human liver cancer HepG2, and to study the function of resveratrol in inducing HepG2 apoptosis. METHODS HepG2 cells were treated with resveratrol at various concentrations. MTT assay was used to examine growth and proliferation of HepG2 cells after treatment with resveratrol for 24 hours. HE staining and electromicroscope were used to observe the morphology of apoptotic cells, and TUNEL, flow cytometry were also used to analyze the HepG2 apoptosis. RESULTS Resveratrol significantly inhibited growth and proliferation of HepG2 cells in dose dependent manner. And resveratrol also induced the apoptosis of HepG2 cells. CONCLUSION Resveratrol may inhibit HepG2 cell growth and proliferation through inducing apoptosis.
6.The diagnositic value of trans-abdominal and trans-virginal ultrasound for hysteromyoma
Chinese Journal of Primary Medicine and Pharmacy 2010;17(20):2757-2758
Objective To compare the diagnostic value for hysteromyona with trans-abdominal ultrasound (TAS) and trans-virginal ultrasound(TVS). Methods Two empirical doctors detected respectively 82 patients by TAS and TVS in double blind method. The results were compared with pathological results. Result The correct rate of diagnosis in 82 patients with 123 hysteromyoma focus by TVS and TAS was 96.75% and 86.18% respectively. There was statistical difference between TAS and TVS. The correct rate of combining use of the two method was 98. 37%. Couclusion Either TVS or TAS had its own merit and defect, Combining use of the two method could raise the correct rate.
7.Primary suggestions on the anti-viral drugs treatment in chronic HBV carriers
Clinical Medicine of China 2010;26(9):949-951
Objective To establish a standard anti-viral treatment for chronic HBV carriers. Methods With reference to the domestic and abroad literatures, the diagnostic and therapeutic standards were set and prepared to be verified. ResultsThe diagnostic standards included:(①ALT 30 -40 IU/L: add 2 scores. (②Age:30 -39 ,add 1 score; ≥40,add 2 scores. (③Ultrasound examination: obviously abnormal, add 1 score;deteriorated during follow up:add 2 scores. ④Fibrosis markers positive: add 1 score. (⑤History of HCC in vertical relatives:add 1 score. ⑥ Existence of conditions which can induced elevation of ALT such as fatty liver or alcoholic liver or BMI > 23 kg/m2,minus 2 scores. The therapeutic standards included:(①≥5 scores: should be treated;(②3 -4 scores: may be treated or just follow up;(③≤2 scores;follow up and reexamine every 6 months. ConclusionsThe above standards are preliminary suggestions which should be checked and rectified by liver biopsy to achieve a more accurate and more practical standard.
8.The effects of intensive sit-to-stand training on the balance and walking ability of hemiplegic stroke survivors
Chinese Journal of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation 2012;34(8):596-599
Objective To investigate the effectiveness of intensive sit-to-stand training in improving the balance and walking of hemiplegic stroke patients. Methods Sixty hemiplegic stroke patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group with 30 cases in each. Both groups were treated with routine rehabilitation. The observation group also underwent extensive sit-to-stand training. The training lasted for 15 min/time,6 times/week for 4 weeks. All of the patients were assessed with respect to their body weight distribution,Berg balance scale (BBS) scores, timed up & go test (TUGT) times and using footprint gait analysis, before the treatment and 4 weeks post treatment. Results After 4 weeks of treatment body weight distribution,BBS scores,TUGT times and gait improved significantly in both groups. The BBS,TUGT and gait improvements were significantly greater in the observation than in the control group. There was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of body weight distribution. Conclusions Extensive sit-to-stand training combined with routine rehabilitation can distinctly improve the balance and walking of hemiplegic stroke survivors.

10.Analysis of clinical factors for pathological complete response after preoperative neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer
Chinese Journal of Radiation Oncology 2014;23(1):5-8
Objective To evaluate the clinical factors associated with pathological complete response (pCR) after preoperative neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer. Methods A retrospective analysis was performed on the clinical data of 116 patients with rectal cancer, who underwent neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy followed by radical surgery from January 2009 to December 2012.All patients received pelvic intensity-modulated radiotherapy (50 Gy/25 fractions) with concurrent fluorouracilbased chemotherapy and then underwent radical surgery 4-8 weeks later. The clinical factors associated with pCR or non-pCR were analyzed by Logistic regression. Results Of the 116 patients,20 (17.2%) achieved a pCR after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy. The univariate analysis showed that percentage of circumference of the rectal tube invaded by the tumor, preoperative serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) level,T stage,N stage, distance from the anal verge, degree of tumor differentiation, and maximum tumor diameter were associated with pCR or non-pCR after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer. The multivariate analysis revealed that percentage of circumference of the rectal tube invaded by the tumor, preoperative serum CEA level, and T stage were predictive factors for pCR or non-pCR after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer. Conclusions Non-circumferential tumor (percentage of circumference of the rectal tube invaded by the tumor < 75 %),low CEA level, and early T stage before treatment may be associated with pCR after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer.
