Apelin is a polypeptide consisting of 77 amino acids. Apelin receptors are found to be the angiotensin-like G protein coupled receptor (APJ). Apelin/APJ system is widely distributed in the peripheral and central nervous system. Apelin-13 is one of the subtypes of Apelin, which has strong biological activity. This study reviewed the new research prog?ress of Apelin-13 on physiological and pathological processes involved in the cardiovascular system, respiratory system, ner?vous system, digestive system and endocrine system.

Medicare work runs throughout the whole process of military training and directly affects the quality of military training. Good preparation,medical service and preventive health care work were done to reduce the injury rate during military training from recognizing significances ,char-acteristics,rules and methods of medicare. Additional health-related military programs,targeted tech-nical and tactical training and optimization and integration of teachers are effective ways to expand the military direction,improve and enrich the content o military training.

Objective To investigate the effects of goal‐directed volume therapy (GDVT )on the intracranial pressure(ICP) and the balance of cerebral oxygen consumption and supply in selective neurosurgery. Methods Twenty‐four patients sched‐uled for intracranial tumor resection were randomly divided into 2 groups:conventional fluid management group (group C ,n=12) and GDVT group(group G ,n=12). Patients in group C received introperative fluid transfusion according to classical fluid management strategies while those in group G received GDT according to stroke volume variation (SVV) ,guided by Flotrac‐Vigileo system.Mean arterial pressure(MAP) ,heart rate(HR) ,cardiac index(CI) ,ICP ,SVV and jugular bulb oxygen saturation (SjvO2 )were recorded before the anesthesia induction(T1 ) ,at the moment of intubation(T2 ) ,at the moment of opening the hard meninges(T3),1hafteropeningthehardmeninges(T4),andattheendofthesurgery(T5).Thecerebraloxygenextractionra‐tio(CERO2 )was calculated. The duration of surgery ,crystalloid volume ,colloid volume ,blood transfusion volume ,urinary output and bleeding volume were recorded as well.Results The colloid transfusion volume ,the total fluid transfusion volume and uri‐nary output were significantly increased in group G when compared with those in group C (P<0.05).MAP ,CI ,and SjvO2 were much higher and CERO2 were much lower at T4 and T5 in group G than in group C(P<0.05). There was no significant differ‐ence in the ICP at each time point between groups G and C (P>0.05).Conclusion Goal‐directed fluid therapy optimizes the cardiac preload without increasing the ICP in selective neurosurgery ,and it also improves the balance of cerebral oxygen con‐sumption and supply.

The conception of evidence-based medicine (EMB) has a strong influence on the medical world since it built up.This concept has been widely used in all sorts of clinic and basic medical research,however,it is little reported to be practised in our fundamental medical education.As for it,this article will briefly analyze the importance of introducing the idea into fundamental medical education,and for one thing,suggest some more reform measures for medical teaching staff.

Objective To recover laboratory data and software function in machine-number-based encryption. Methods Database and cryptograph files were replaced respectively by the corresponding files backuped previously after the operating software of Tecan SunRise setting up in new system,and set essential configuration. Results Laboratory data and software function were recovered entirely,and apparatus ran normally. Conclusion Besides database files,the cryptograph files were also essential data, which must be preserved in machine number based encryption.

A new HPLC-UV technique for the separation and analysis of 10 monosaccharides achieved within 13.5 min using 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone (PMP) as the labelling molecule of the reductive monosaccharides has been established by combining common high performance liquid chromatography-UV and C18 column. The established technique was applied to the quantification of the monosaccharide components in extract of Silybum marianum. The results showed that the tested 10 monosaccharides as PMP derivatives were baseline separated under the HPLC conditions proposed. It was confirmed that Silybum marianum extract was composed of mannose, rhamnose, glucuronic acid, galacturonic acid, glucose, xylose, galactose and arabinose with the molar ratio of 0.66:0.84:0.58:1.0:1.6:0.69:2.7:4.8. Quantitative recoveries of the compositional monosaccharides separated from the extract were in the range of 92.4%-104.0%, and the RSD values fell within 0.68%-3.81%. The results demonstrated that the proposed HPLC method was simple, rapid, convenient, and precise, and it was applicable to the analysis of the compositional monosaccharides of Silybum marianum extract.

Objective To find out the influencing behavioral factors of antibiotics usage in population in Lanzhou. Methods Status of antibiotics usage was investigated in four hospitals in Lanzhou. Results The self-medicine pro portion among patients with respiratory system infection, infectious di arrhea, urinary system infection and choleic system infection were 44.22%, 31. 76%, 22.07% and 6.61% respectively. Patients having higher income used some antibiotics at a middle price, while patients having lower income used antibiot ics at a lower price. The educate d person applied some antibiotics at a lower price, but the illiterate person us ed some antibiotics at a higher price. The combined usage of antibio tics was affected by the disease program and distance of seeing doctor. The fart her distance away from hospital, the more proportion of antibiotics(two or thre e) used combinedly. Conclusions The antibiotics usage was affe cted by the disease variety, disease program, distance to hospital, average inco me and educ ated level.

A poly(amino black 10B)/Nafion modified glassy carbon(GC) electrode for the detection of dopamine(DA) has been developed. The modified electrode showed an excellent electrocatalytic effect on the oxidation of DA. In cyclic votammetric measurements, the redox peak current increased linearly with the concentration of DA in the range of 2.0×10~(-7) 3.0×10~(-5) mol/L in PBS of pH 6.0, with a correlation coefficient of 0.9993 and 0.9991, respectively. The detection limit(S/N=3) was 1.0×10~(-7) mol/L. Moreover, the modified electrode exhibited good repeatability and long-time stability, and avoided the interference of ascorbic acid. The modified electrode has been used for the determination of DA in the injections and calf serum with good recovery and reproducibility.

Objective To observe the effects of wild jujube seed decoction (WJSD) on learning memory and the levels of malondialdehyde (MDA) and the activities of supemxide dismutase (SOD) and nitric oxide synthase (NOS) in the brain of the pathogeny model rats with sleep deprivation (SD). Methods Levels of learning memory and MDA, and activities of SOD and NOS in rats' brain were assayed after SD induced by made-self multiple platform method ( MMPM), senescence induced by D-galactose, and Yin and blood-deficiency induced by eyclophosphamide and hydrocortisonum. Results After 48 h SD, the levels of learning memory was lower in the model group( ( 108.9 ± 12.5 ) s, ( 89 ± 11.5 ) s, ( 0 ) ) than those in the environmental control group ( ( 47.3 ±4.6)s,(9±1.4)s,(6.5 ±1.2))(( t=4.36,3.18,2.07, P＜0.01＝＝. While MDA, and activities of SOD and NO in rats'brain higher in the model group( (3.8 ±0.6) ,(3.0 ±0.5)nmol · mgprot-1 ,(229.7 ±25.8) ,(236.3± 25.2 ) U · mgprot - 1, ( 5.7 ± 0. 8 ), ( 5.4 ± 0.9 ) U · mgprot - 1 ) than those in the environmental control group ( (2. 1 ±0.4) ,(1.6 ±0.4)nmol · mgprot-1 ,(155.5 ±10.6) ,( 147.2 ±26.1 )U · mgprot-1 ,(2.8 ±0.7),(2.9 ± 0.5 ) U · mgprot -1 ) ( t = 2.89,3.01,6.78,5.94,3.10,3.46, P ＜ 0.05 ＝. However, the observation of the groups treated with WJSD, the levels of learning memory showed a tendency in returning to normal level (P ＜ 0.05 ＝ ,and MDA, and activities of SOD and NO of the high dose of WJSD showed a tendency in returning to normal leve1 (P ＜ 0.05 ＝ ,and the low dose of WJSD showed a tendency in returning to normal level too(P ＜ 0.05 ＝. Conclusion WJSD can improve the disability of learning and memory of the pathogeny rats model, and its one of mechanism maybe involve the reduction of neural cell damage with free radical and NO.
